Great floor plan to have a large group over including the three different game rooms. Only negative is the house lacks air conditioning but thankfully we were there on a cooler week. If it had been 90 it might have been an issue although they do have window air conditioners throughout the house so there is some relief. Owners are great at communication and helping with anything that you need. Highly recommend the space for any large family! I will note that it is about 40 steps down to the dock so it might be tough for people that have a harder time with stairs or physical ability.
We had a great time with our kids and grandkids at Timber Ridge Cabin. Enjoyed all the amenities available at the cabin and beach! Enjoyed swimming, boating, and fishing. The communication with Holly was excellent! Would stay here again or recommend!
Lots of space and things to do for multiple family activities and interests. Great water accessories for kids to enjoy, comfortable sleeping arrangements, substantial kitchen space and supplies, plus options for inside entertainment.Successful sunfishing from the dock with occasional fiesty largemouths. Crappies a short canoe paddle away.Excellent communication and prompt response from Holly with any questions.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Timber Lodge Cabin. It worked perfectly for hosting a family gathering that included kids from Texas, Connecticut, and of course Minnesota!
There were so many things to do! The kids (2 & 5) loved playing in the sand with the beach toys, walking along the lake shore and playing with the toys. The adults enjoyed the billiards table, kayaking, and ping pong table the most. The campfire setup worked perfectly for our group. We were surprised by how much space the downstairs had! The pictures do not do it justice. Wonderful stay for grandparents, and two families with four young kids.
This cabin is much more spacious than the pictures lead you to believe. It was great having a larger kitchen. The bedrooms were very comfortable. Our family was there for a week, with the temps being in the high 80's, low 90's the entire time. We were nervous about the a/c situation, but were pleasantly surprised how cool it stayed inside (all fans stayed on). There is one a/c in the living room, and one in the upstairs bathroom. We kept a floor fan outside the bathroom door blowing that air towards the bedrooms and it never felt warm. Loved the abundance of game options in the house/garage, on top of the lake toys and pontoon. Our family had a great time!
Our extended family of 13, ranging in age from 2-60 stayed at this property. It is set up very well to accommodate a big group with lots of open spaces. The pool table and fooseball table were both a big hit. The kitchen is great for serving big meals. The lake quality is excellent, and our grandkids enjoyed swimming from the beach as well as out in the deeper lake. The sandbar was especially fun! The steps down to the lake were a workout, but we all enjoyed the exercise! The views/sunsets from the cabin and the firepit area were beautiful. There was nothing we were in need of. The owners have thought of everything to make their guests' stay memorable and comfortable.
We had a wonderful time fishing, swimming, boating, playing at the sandbar, and making great memories! 13 people ages 5-72 were always occupied in pool or dart tournaments when it stormed. A great space to spread out and enjoy Lake Sibley!
The house was very roomy for our family. The pool table was a big hit!! The outside fire pit was very nice also. Hidden gem in the garage was a ping pong table!
We stayed here for our annual family vacation. The weather was cooler than usual, unfortunately, so lake activities were more limited. So it was nice to have the pool table and fooseball for extra entertainment. We also worked on a 1000 piece puzzle. My one suggestion would be to have a card table available for puzzles as we needed to use the lamp table and it wasn't very level and is very low.
This a great property with plenty of space for a family to spread out and have fun.
We really enjoyed our stay at TimberRidge with 5 adults and 6 kids. The open layout was ideal and the large island in the kitchen was awesome. We had hot weather during our stay, but the house was very comfortable with air conditioning and fans.
The sandy beach was great for the kids and the lily pad and paddle boat were favorites too. The kids also had a great time catching fish right off the dock.
The large fire pit area was very nice and it was fun to make sâmores. It was fantastic that you provided firewood.
The distance to the lake and steps could be difficult for some, but we did fine with them.
Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin! We hope to come again!
We loved the location of the cabin. It was about 3 blocks from the Paul Bunyan Trail. There's a nice little coffee shop and some restaurants in downtown Pequot as well. We end up cooking most of our own meals due to my niece being Celiac so the double oven was great. The kitchen had most things we needed but could have had a few more plates since there weren't enough for the number of people allowed in the cabin.
It's on us that we didn't check if there was A/C. It was not listed in the description which we realized later. There were two window units that kept the house mostly cool, but we lucked out in that sense that it was a cool week or the upstairs bedrooms would be quite warm.
The beds were comfortable and the cabin seemed pretty well cleaned between visitors. There were a number of spiders, but that's what you get surrounded by woods. The pontoon rental was great and the sandbar in the lake was super fun for the kids. We also enjoyed the paddle board, kayaks and canoe.
Communication with Holly was fantastic. She was quick to answer texts and questions and even helped us out when we accidentally blew a fuse. Overall we had a fun week!
Our party consisted of 4 adults and 7 kids aged 14-2. The house had everything we needed. The pool table and foos ball table got a lot of use by the older kids and parents. The water was nice. At the end of the dock it was probably around 4 1/2-5 ft deep and drops off after that pretty quickly. The kids like jumping off the dock and diving to the bottom to find rocks. The Lilly pad and kayaks/paddle board were all well used. The only draw back was that itâs an older home and the floors and stairs are very creaky so itâs hard to sneak around upstairs if you have little ones sleeping. All in all we enjoyed our time very much!
We stayed with our adult kids, their spouses, and 1 toddler (10 adults) and were impressed with the amount of room. The common spaces were large and easily accommodated our group whether we were all together playing a game or doing our own thing. We thoroughly enjoyed the outside spaces as well including the little side deck.
Communication with Holly was frequent, fast, and convenient--she was a great hostess!
We had a fun, memorable week with our kids!
I cannot stop thinking of the beautiful sunsets we enjoyed every night! I love to cook so I was happy to have such a beautiful kitchen to cook and bake in. Plenty of entertainment spaces to keep everyone happy. My kids liked the game room where they could watch a kid's movie while we watched sports in the main living area. The owner was super responsive and the location is perfect if you need to grab something you forgot. Pro-tip: You can do an online grocery order for the local supermarket ahead of time and pick it up when you get up there. Saved us a ton of time and space in the car. We will be back!
We had the most wonderful time on our vacation! There were 6 of us and the open layout was wonderful. The home was very clean and homey. The stairs going to the lake can be a lot but you do get used to them, just plan ahead before going down. The outdoor living space was a dream. The upstairs bedrooms can get warm and stuffy at night unless the doors are all left open so the AC can really cool all rooms. But it was manageable, fans available for every room, which was SUPER helpful! The pontoon was a favorite addition to the trip and we are so glad it was available as an option. Holly is a delight to work with and always available to help where needed.
Happiness would be the word for the feeling of jumping off the dock when your 5yrs old. Sadness when we had to leave today.
Beautiful property with the most amazing sunsets.
Our family of 9 had so much space to create memories.
We swam, fished, went to turtle races in Nisswa, we went biking, we did loads of crafts, roasted marshmallows, boating.
I guess, you name it, we did it.
Thoroughly loved our stay.
Our family of ten had plenty of room in this house. The lake is delightful but climbing the steps back up to the house was a bit tiring. In spite of that we had a great time and will cherish the memories we made.
Our family had a great time at Holly and John's vacation rental. It was large enough for the eight of us. The steps up from the lake were a challenge for some when going up multiple times in a day. We had a couple of very hot days and part of the house did get warm those two days, then cooled down again. Holly and John's communication was excellent. Loved the location on the lake, in town, and close to the bike path.
Spacious cabin. Good for a big group.. our grandkids had lots of fun with all the beach Toys. We were able to rent a pontoon from the owner separately. It was wonderfulâŠwould stay again. The cabin is equipped with evert you need with comfy furnishings
We just spent a week at this wonderful home on beautiful Sibley Lake. The house is very spacious, and there was plenty of room for our family of five adults and four children, ranging in age from 1 to 13. We were fortunate to have gorgeous weather all week, so we spent a LOT of time on and in the lake! I was concerned that by mid-August and very little rain, the water level might be exceptionally low and algae might be significant. But I was thrilled that the lake was clean and beautiful! Great swimming area by the dock, too. We also enjoyed the fire pit and making sâmores. đ All in all, it was a fantastic place for us to build memories with our kids and grandkids. I would highly recommend this property. And you canât beat the sunset over the lake, either!
Iâm Holly and John is my husband. We are so excited that we are able to share our vacation home to others for beautiful memories and bonding with family . Please enjoy our cabin and make sure to stop and look at the beauty surrounding this home!
We just bought this amazing home and starting to rent out now. We loved that it had a lot of bedrooms for we have a few kids and love how spacious it is . To top off the natural rustic wood work - it screams MN! So you will see the new adventure beginning in this cabin and hope you will see it grow with us each year!
