The dryer vent is not working properly. There is warm moist air blowing into the crawl space. It made the house smell very musty and moldy. I could barely detect any hot air coming out from the vent outside. This needs to be fixed before a serious mold issue occurs. I know this is life with a house in the woods. But either a squirrel or squirrels have taken up residence in the attic space. You could hear scratching through the drywall. It is a beautiful home, in a beautiful place, it needs some tlc.
Grill could not use it was disgusting, the shower in the down stairs bedroom had a used piece of soap on the top ledge of the shower, the toilet seat was about to fall off . The grass outside needs mowed. Other than that it was a nice place but when you get charged that much of a cleaning fee you expected the place to be cleaner.
It's a beautiful cabin and our stay was great. The cabins location is a quick jaunt from the highway behind Ponds Lodge. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, bowls crock pots, coffee machine and a toaster oven too.
Great place but they shouldnât be on vrbo, when u can go direct for less money. I didnât know that it was like a resort with multiple cabins. I enjoy using vrbo and loved this cabin, but now I know on this one to go direct.
The property has a very nice kitchen . The cabin is spacious. We have 11 family members who are vacationing together. The bathrooms are ok. Needs updating. However, there were bed bugs in the upstairs loft. They tried to tell us that they were not bed bugs, but a different bug. They called them mites. They offered to give us clean sheets! What? We change our own sheets after their cabin has bed bugs???. However, we looked up pictures etc- they certainly were bed bugs! They were on mattress and pillow. They were under mattress and on the wall. We also found evidence of mice in the sofa. My daughter also heard a mouse. We told the management company about the issue and they moved us to another unit. It was after dark! Can you imagine packing up 11 people after a day in Yellowstone? It was very upsetting after a long day touring the thermo pools, etc and with small children to have to pack up. We asked for them to monetarily reimburse us some of the cost of the cabin. They responded that they were making up for it by giving us other accommodations and that we were in nature and that mice, etc were part of nature. Also-the next morning when we left the new cabin, a bat flew into the cabin. This is unsanitary. Mice and bats carry diseases . Bed bugs multiply like crazy and are very expensive to mitigate!I would not recommend staying in this cabin when staying in Island Park outside of West Yellowstone.
My husband and I booked the home for 27 nights to celebrate his 70th birthday and have a nice getaway together. Our family loves snowmobiling and the unit and area didnât disappoint. We had a couple join us for five nights, so the two master suites on the main level were perfect for this arrangement. Our adult children and their spouses joined us toward the end of the trip for a week in order to celebrate the birthday with us and get to ride some beautiful areas with their dad. Having the restaurants, other services and trails so close was perfect. The kitchen is very well stocked so we were able to get groceries and have several of our meals at the rental. We would highly recommend renting this or other units in the subdivision. Our only negative feedback for the owners would be some general deferred maintenance we noted. Locks to the rear deck need replaced, weather stripping at the front door (we could see air) around it and spraying for spiders inside would be recommended.
Perfect Accommodations for Multigenerational Family
This property was perfect for our multigenerational family as we travelled to and from Yellowstone each day. The two masters and separate upstairs bathroom and bedrooms fit for our 3 separate families. We were able to gather at the house, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and even spotted 2 moose (very exciting not only for the adults but the 4 children).
We had a great visit to Island Park. We visited Yellowstone all of the day, which is about 1/2 hr to the entrance, and 1-1.5hrs to Yellowstone destinations. My husband & 3 kids stayed with another family there. There was plenty of room for everyone, we loved the hot tub and enjoyed our stay. Thanks for a great trip!
It was a nice property close to a lot of activities that we wanted to do. We had most of what we needed. Mostly we had a few adult kids that had to share beds, but we kind of knew that going in. We appreciated the amount of bathrooms on this property
Beautiful cabin nestled along the woods with a large private porch and hot tub facing the woods. Beautiful full length windows to look out over the porch and woods. Well appointed inside with cozy mattresses, pillows and large size bedrooms and bathrooms. This cabin had it all to make our stay comfortable and fun for our whole group. Wish it was mine to keep!
The cabin was clean, beautiful and the property owner supplied us with everything we needed for the stay. We stayed in contact during the entire process because of the virus. Great location to Yellowstone. The only negative is the roads that leads to the cabins have lots of holes and really muddy.
House was perfect for our group of 11 adults! We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. One morning a moose and her baby walked right in front of our house! The kitchen has everything you need. Beds were comfy. Only negative thing was the upstairs bedrooms got pretty warm because there is no a/c. There were no ceiling fans, but there are box fans in each room. Overall, it was a great stay and an easy drive to YSNP.
This location had great amenities including the excellent appliances, grill, and laundry (sadly my hubby needed to use the clinic just down the road, not glad it was there!). The beds were super comfy (I'm used to a tempurpedic), the open living area was great for socializing, the hot tub was working and well utilized (despite concerns during check-in that it was not heating properly). The laundry definitely got heavily used, which was awesome for my sister and friend with their kids. I honestly have only one "complaint" and it's super silly - the can opener was busted đ It was a really great stay, and we would absolutely stay again.
We originally planned to stay in Gardiner, MT, but the historic floods forced us to quickly adapt our plans for our Yellowstone vacation. The cabin was great, very spacious and plenty of space for our party of 8. Island Park is a very peaceful setting as well.
What a great place to spend time with family and enjoy the outdoors. Everthing about these 4 days was memory making worthy. The property was just as described and we would recommend it and will be back.
This property was at a great location. The cabin fit all of our needs and more with all the room in the cabin. Plenty of sleeping areas and the open floor plan. It was so nice to come back each day and have dinner and then get into the hot tub, Everything was so clean and will be back for sure,
We (a group of 6 friends) really enjoyed our stay. The cabin smelled sanitized and fresh as we walked through the door. Everything was clean. We were happy to see hand soup and some small shampoos in the bathrooms. Plenty of towels and the kitchen was stocked with necessary pots and utensils. We didnât have time for the hot tub but enjoyed sitting out on the back porch. Thank you, Casey!
The property was clean, organized, and very comfortable. Only problem was the wifi. We could not connect. I talked to the property manager and he said that he would send out a maintenance person to take a look. Never happened. Other than that... very happy!
My mother in law fell off of the deck by the hot tube. There was no railing or deck all around the hot tub. There was a three ft open area by the house which caused her to fall 3 ft onto her back.
