If youâre looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, donât hesitate to book Susieâs fabulous farmhouse in McKinney. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch while listening to songbirds, cozy cuddles from Kali the cat, and view spectacular sunrises and sunsets. A short drive to the adorable downtown McKinney for shopping and dining is a plus.
Very rustic. You could see daylight through the walls. There was only one channel on the tv and only rocking chairs in the living room. The pond had no fish in it which is the main reason we booked it. We left a few days early. I think there was mosquitoes in the house, we woke up with bites each morning. She was very attentive and quick to answer and it was very clean. The shower was nice with good water pressure. The kitchen could use a strainer for cooking otherwise was well stocked.
This place truly had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful retreat. Every morning, we were greeted by the cows in the pastureâa charming touch that made it feel like a true countryside escape. The sweet farm cat was always around too. The space itself was cozy, clean, and well-stocked. It was the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. My parents loved it so much theyâve already decided this will be their go-to spot whenever they visit from out of town. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with lots of heart!
Exceeded expectations! Many details provided fun activities for the family. The sunrise views are outstanding! Thank you for offering your farm to us city-dwellers!
This was hands down the best VRBO I have stayed at in a very long time. From the communication from the owner Susie, cleanliness, comfort (the beds are amazing), sunrises and sunsets, the cows, fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, fire pit with Sâmores and the absolute golden touch was Kali the cat.
This will be my home away from home when I travel to McKinney. Thank you!
My son was attending a football camp in McKinney and last minute we decided to stay here instead of a hotel, it was truly a blessing. How many places can you stay that comes complete with cows and a cat. The views of the pastures were perfect, morning love from Kallie the cat truly made this a magical place. The home is perfectly decorated and offers all of the basics you need. The kitchen was perfect for our morning breakfast. Make sure you read the property description as it is completely accurate. I canât wait to come back and be able to just enjoy the home and surroundings.
This place was So cute and perfect for our family! The property owner was so sweet and accomidating! If we're ever back in the area, would def stay here again!
The property was perfect for seeing the eclipse. It was peaceful and provided us an out of the way place that was still close to everything we needed for the trip.
Check-is was easy and the place is beautiful.
I had a wonderful week-long stay at this farmhouse in McKinney. The house sits on almost 80 acres of beautiful pastures with around 30 cows and bulls (my count at the time) roaming freely in them. Kali the cat roams in and out of the house and is very affectionate and friendly. Itâs a great place to enjoy nature, and yet downtown McKinney is a short drive (10-15 minutes) away. I would certainly stay here again.
Moved our son and family to McKinney. Great to get out into country setting!đđ
Fantastic place to stay! Very relaxing and enjoyable! Our family got to spent time together in the country! Would do it again instead of being in town!đđđ
We always like staying here. It's a great little rustic place in the country where I can let my two female Dobies run around. We made a great meal over the open fire pit. Very relaxing.
We got away to have a nice place to work and plan. This was the perfect spot. It is beautiful and had everything we needed. We loved having Kali the cat to keep us company during the day and seeing the cows each morning. The beds were comfortable and the surroundings were relaxing.
We loved staying in this farmhouse for a relaxing getaway. It is so peaceful and you feel immersed in the country but are only minutes from town. We spent a whole day in McKinney downtown and could have enjoyed it much longer. The next day we went to the new World Springs spa in The Colony - about 25 mins away. It made for a fabulous restful weekend. The house is comfortable but with rustic decor. There are not recliners or plush sofas, but comfortable old fashioned rocking chairs and a nice large table. We didnât build a fire outside because it was windy and dry, but we enjoyed the sunrise over the pasture and the songbirds. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and there was a soft and friendly (outdoor) cat to say hello and provide some company. We canât wait to come again for another quiet weekend getaway!
