We had a great time at the ranch! We stayed here for the UF graduation so everything in Gainesville was 20-30 away⊠and then we got to come back and enjoy the farm, the bbq grill, indoor & outdoor games, the pool, and the relaxing atmosphere. We also ventured out to Silver Springs and had a great day kayaking!
This home was farm life at its finest. Perfect for our stay. Very spacious, clean and quiet. The grandkids loved feeding all the farm animals. Cows, goats, sheep and donkeys. The pool was a great way to cool off from the Florida heat. I would definitely recommend this home and hope to return in the future,
We stayed here mainly because of its proximity to Devil's Den and Rainbow Springs. Didn't spend much time at the property but whatever time we spent was nice and memorable. The house was clean and well-stocked with all the necessities. The one thing we pointed out to the owners was the absence of cleaning equipment, at least a broom and a mop and bucket would have been great. The kids enjoyed the interaction with the cows, donkeys and sheep, and the surrounding area is kept clean and well attended. Will definitely consider it again for future stays.
We have stayed here twice while visiting grandma in Williston. Check in is easy (we were given the option of early check in) Plenty of space for parking for our sprinter van. Great if you are traveling with dogs/kids. Bonus points we were able to get some great running in doing a few laps around the neighborhood (safe and scenic)
Fantastic place to stay quiet in the country and close to the Horse activities
Lovely, quiet place to stay. No traffic or noise and very relaxing. They have cute donkeys and sheep fenced nearby at the property that are very friendly and entertaining. Donât let the exterior fool you. The interior is recently renovated and they did an absolutely beautiful job. Inside the house is very new and super comfortable. We would definitely like to stay here again. It is very close to HITS Post Time and all of the area equestrian venues.
Very clean, kids had a great time seeing the animals, host was very nice. We only stayed a short time but will definitely come back for a longer stay next time we are in the area!
We got to pet and feed sheep and donkeys. We spent an evening relaxing around the firepit. The house was spacious and well equipped. Lots of room to roam and not far from Cedar Lakes Botanical Garden. It was a great chance to kick back, relax and just spend time together.
Quiet location, house was clean and had everything we needed. We loved using the kitchen to cook meals in the evenings and the animals on the property are so friendly. Will definitely rebook for our next trip. Thank you!
Great place for a group of divers looking to experience the Williston area springs. We rented both the East and West houses and were very happy with accommodations and the proximity to Blue Grotto and Devils Den. The booking process and communications were easy. Would stay again if back in the area. Thanks!
Beautiful property. Grandson, 5yrs old totally enjoyed the pool, everyone had a blast. Alot of rain, LOTS. Our stay was outstanding kids loved it, and adults love the outdoor cover area. Very clean, spotless.
We stayed at Little Ridge Ranch for our second visit. The house and grounds are amazing. The home has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Walking around the property recharges your spirit. Last night we heard 2-3 owls. It was amazing. I would give more than 5 stars if it were possible. Dennis, the host, is friendly and helpful.
We picked this location because it was a central location for 3 separate diving trips. We were delighted with the beautiful farm setting. Very peaceful and quiet. Grocery store and restaurants very convenient. The home was perfect for us. Loved the open concept, large kitchen and table, and the large sectional with ottoman. All 6 of us were very comfortable. The screened in front porch with large table and outdoor grill offered us a space to cook out on a rainy evening. Thanks to our hosts for making everything so nice and easy. Also thanks for the fresh chicken eggs!
We really enjoyed our stay at the west house. It was perfect and very comfortable for our family of five. My kids and I really enjoyed seeing tbe farm animals. Especially the cows next door and the donkeys. It was so quiet and peaceful on the land but we had access to Gainesville and Ocala with plenty to do! We had planned to go in the pool and the kids did one afternoon but my husband and I found it too hot as there is no umbrella or shade around the pool. You also share the pool with the east house so if someone is staying in that house they have access to the pool as well and itâs not big enough to have space and privacy in the pool. The beds were comfortable for all of us. Would really recommend to other families! The owners also answered all of my questions and were very hospitable. We will miss this little slice of heaven.
Owners are very helpful and attentive. House has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen has adequate pots and pans to cook a full meal. The donkeys can be quite loud at night if you are a light sleeper like one of our family members. Otherwise this was a great place to stay.
Our family was able to have a peaceful and relaxing Thanksgiving. The beautiful home, the sweet animals and just peace and quiet all helped. It was just what our family needed. I would recommend this home to anyone. Very satisfying.
We were in Ocala for a HITS horse show. This location is very convenient to Post Farm. Clean, newly renovated. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen and the entire home had everything we needed. The property is amazing with all the animal. Very beautiful and quiet in horse country.
Communications with the owner were always prompt. I even got to meet owner as he was attending to his property. He was friendly and helpful. The house was as described on website. It was very clean and extremely well stocked with items for the kitchen. There was a fenced off area where my dogs could run and play. The location of the house was in a quiet, serene area. Even though we did not get to dive at Blue Grotto, we enjoyed the peaceful setting and felt recharged when it was time to leave. We would love to visit again.
Lovely house and the farm itâs located on is delightful. The hosts are wonderful and very responsive to any questions or requests. I highly recommend you stay.
Due to a death in the family of one of our bunch we requested that we be allowed to cancel 1 day of our stay. Due to VRBO policies - not the owner's - we were not able to get a refund. While our notice was given 1 week in advance, we were not able to make any changes. The house was great. The owners responded quickly to any question we had. We just got trapped in the fine print and that was the ONLY cloud on our stay. Advice to future VRBO travelers - be sure to read the fine print or purchase the cancellation insurance!
We are Patty and Dennis. We are transplants from Fort Lauderdale and we purchased Little Ridge Ranch in January of 2019, totally renovated the entire property, and hosted our first guest in August of that year. We live in Ocala and we are happy to share any information about the local area, attractions, restaurants, etc. with our guests. We are accessible by phone, text of through the VRBO portal anytime. We really enjoy hosting, proud to be Premier Partners with VRBO and also Superhosts on other platform and we have had many happy guests since 2019.
There is a lot to do in North Central Florida, Kayaking Rainbow River, Snorkeling at Devilâs Den, Scuba Diving at Blue Grotto, tubing the many springs and rivers, Zip line at The Canyons, Horseback riding, etc. The University of Florida at Gainesville. The major cities of Gainesville and Ocala are close as are the World Equestrian Center, HITS, and much more. (When they say that Marion County is The Horse Capital of the World, they arenât kidding, most people have no idea how true that is). We have created a custom interactive Google Map with many of the nearby attractions pinpointed so you can click on them for the website, descriptions and contact info. Just ask us and we will be glad to provide.
Our guests come from all over and one of the things they say when visiting North Central Florida for the first time is something along the lines of âItâs a whole different world hereâ and they never knew existed.
