Récemment rénové et meublé charmant chalet en bois rond sur le lac Douglas situé dans le nord du Michigan. Cette cabine d'une histoire a détaillé avec un mobilier confortable et toutes les commodités nécessaires pour vivre et profiter du lac. Profitez de la belle et facile à utiliser cheminée à gaz tout en étant assis dans la salle de séjour en profitant de la vue sur le lac.
Idéal pour deux couples ou une petite famille.

Pour les séjours d’été, vous disposerez d’un quai de nage et / ou de bateau, d’un foyer extérieur et de mobilier de jardin pour vous détendre au bord du lac. À proximité de l’un des restaurants les plus raffinés mais décontractés, vous pouvez pagayer en bateau, à pied ou en voiture. (Douglas Lake Bar) Des restaurants et des stands de légumes se trouvent également à proximité. La location de bateau est disponible à proximité.

Cet établissement est idéalement situé entre Mackinaw, le tunnel des arbres et Petoskey. Beaucoup de choses à voir et à faire mais parfait pour s'asseoir tranquillement au bord du lac.

Excellent Stay

The property was beautiful. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We were very busy with family matters so not a lot of free time was spent there, but we agreed that we wished we had more time to just enjoy the cabin.

The epitome of Michigan summer lake life! The lake view from the cabin and back porch is gorgeous. Kathy was an excellent host and we had a seamless stay. Highly recommend and look forward to staying again!

Lovely

My family enjoyed this cute, little cabin on beautiful Lake Douglas, specifically its close, easy access to the water. The cabin was well-equipped with kayaks, a paddleboat, SUP, and other outside equipment. While I was surprised that this property did not have air conditioning, I was soon relieved that it wasn't necessary (even in the middle of August) with all the doors and windows open. We would love to return!

Perfect for rest, quiet, relaxing. Khakis were a treat for all of us. Sit on the dock and enjoy nature. Great location to go exploring all of northern Michigan.

Another Great Stay!

This beauty is still a treasure 2 years after our last stay. Kathy is attentive and responds quickly. The cabin is well maintained, full of high quality features and accessories and is a most delightful place! We really enjoyed the comfy beds & furniture, morning coffee on the porch, the fire pit, and the convenient parking. Having a fullsize fridge and stocked kitchen came in handy too. Don't miss the Douglas Lake Bar (more restaurant than bar) or Legs Inn- both have great food and staff!! We also enjoyed cocktails & appetizers at the Pellston airport bar while watching the planes take off. This Douglas Lake location is near so many places…and the cabin is great for just sitting peacefully near the lake.

Quiet Lakeside Getaway

Lovely property on a quiet lake near Mackinaw City. The home was clean and cozy, with all the supplies needed to have a restful visit! We enjoyed using the kayaks to explore, and thanks to the very friendly neighbors knew just where to go. Just 20-30 minutes from the Mackinac ferry lines, and plenty of other local activities. The internet/ WiFi/ streaming services barely worked at all, but luckily that wasn’t a priority for us. We had spotty cell service most of our visit (Verizon). Thanks for a great visit.

Property great/Douglas Lake a disappointment

This cabin is well furnished and appointed. However, the fishing on Douglas Lake was a disappointment to say the least. First, the lake is difficult to navigate because its depths vary so dramatically. We had to be very careful just pulling our boat away from the dock each day. Second, we are experienced fishermen but nothing we tried worked; we caught a few "aquarium-sized" perch each day and that was it. We understand that previous renters of the property had a similar experience. We only saw one other boat of fishermen on the lake during the entire week. It was late in the season and the lake level may have been down but we don't recommend Douglas Lake for fishing.

The PERFECT Week

I am hesitant to write about our stay because I am afraid I will never get the chance to go back as the cabin will be all booked up!! To say we had an idyllic week is not an understatement! Even though the smoke from the Canadian wildfires impacted our chances to be outside some days, we made the best of it. The cabin is absolutely perfect, has everything you need and is one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in. My two teenage children, 19 and 17, also loved the trip! The cabin gave us the opportunity to power down, take a break, and connect as a family. We sat on the dock, played games, kayaked, cooked together, rented a pontoon boat and visited Mackinaw City as well as Mackinac Island. SEE!!! IDYLLIC. Both kids asked to return to the cabin next summer. The neighbors around Douglas Lake are some of the nicest people around. Oh, and we loved our dinner at Douglas Lake Bar and Steakhouse, just a half mile down the road. We had never been to this part of the country so were unsure what to expect. The cabin is "off the beaten path" so be prepared for that, but the general store a few miles away has everything you will need for a stay. We loved our trip! Five stars!

Great Property

The log cabin is very well kept up and in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood only 50 feet from the lake. Only problem was operating the Smart TV with a jet pack. You must use streaming services only and your own personal passwords.

Excellent Property Manager

My wife and I, along with our 4 young children, enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location is great, we made day trips in almost every direction for different things. There was a small issue when we arrived that could not be helped and Kathy was absolutely amazing in making sure we were taken care of, she is top notch and deserves 5 stars hands down. The only reason I gave 4 instead of of 5 stars is the beach. It is not the best, but the kids still enjoyed playing in the sand and splashing around. We would stay here again for sure.

Cute weekend getaway

The property was clean and well stocked kitchen for those that like to cook (even had a dishwasher). Had some issues with the internet but the property manager did her best to get to up and running (make sure you know how to work your phones hot spot just in case). Would definitely stay here again, we were bummed we didn't book it for longer.

Great home in a great location!

This house was exactly what we were looking for for our short weekend trip. We spent time in Petoskey, drove the Tunnel of Trees and spent a day on Mackinac Island. The home was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the fireplace and the sunrises in the morning we're great! We'd love to stay here again if we're ever in the area. Thanks!

Perfect cottage in best location

I’ll just start out by saying there aren’t enough superlatives to describe this property…. Kathy is incredibly responsive & helpful, the cottage is beyond clean, it’s charming with thoughtful, quality touches, a nice swim area/beach, dock & fire pit, and the location is 20-30” from most everything offered in northern Michigan. Douglas Lake itself is gorgeous and peaceful. We spent 10 days here and could’ve stayed much longer. The water view can be enjoyed from the large windows in the living room or the front porch (perfect chairs here for morning coffee & a picnic table for lunch). Quality linens, blankets, Bosch appliances, granite table, easy glide door wall, plenty of hot water and the adorable wool tartan curtains & pillows were so appreciated. The kitchen was easy to use and well stocked (loved the side bar!) , but also be sure to visit Rusty Saw BBQ, Dam Site Inn, Legs Inn, Chandlers & make reservations at Douglas Lake Bar & Steakhouse (2” away) - you won’t be disappointed!! It was cool & rainy while we visited, but we’ll be back to enjoy the full array of available beach toys and kayaks. The cottage is well cared for and loved. Guest comfort is a priority here. Kathy was exceptional with her communication, property oversight and promptly answering my questions. We visit many VRBO homes and this is absolutely one of the very best!

Wonderful surprise

Lovely property and nice little cabin. Our boys and husband and I enjoyed the use of the kayaks and paddle boat. The view was wonderful and relaxing. Only improvement would be AC. The property manager/owner were very helpful when we had an issue with the WiFi and got it fixed for us. Wish we could have stayed longer!
