Extended family met up for winter sports weekend. Property met all our needs. Best equipped kitchen of any VRBO I have ever stayed in. Steep mountain road, so all-wheel or tire chains are were a must to get around. Would love to come back.
This was our third time staying at Nature's Call and it did not disappoint! Perfectly clean, well stocked, and a serene backdrop. Will definitely be back!
We loved everything about this cabin and will definitely stay there again! The part I will miss the most is swinging on the porch swing drinking coffee every morning.
The house and property were clean. All appliances in the house were in working order (kitchen appliances, lights, sinks, etc). Overall we had a good time.
The house was very clean and well maintained. It was more spacious than the pictures would indicate and we were very pleased with everything. The creek on the property was very pretty to see and listen to. Looking forward to going back!
We gathered at Natures Call to celebrate our daughter's graduation from ASU. Between the wrap around porch, the hot tub, the porch swing and the fire pit, we spent more time outside than in. Great accommodations for both humans and hounds.
We loved the house. It was convenient to Boone and Blowing Rock. The house was spacious and had everything we needed. My only comment is the walls are thin so privacy is limited. Otherwise our stay was lovely
This is a quiet, beautiful cabin in a heavily wooded area. We were there for peak fall foliage and it was spectacular. The house was very clean, well stocked and supplied. Instructions and guidance were very good. I've rented a bunch of similar homes and this is one of my favorites. Highly recommended.
I don't have enough good things to say about this cabin. The deck that wraps around the whole house is amazing. We sat outside most of the time during our stay. The location was great. It felt secluded, but it was close to everything. My dogs loved it too! Definitely would love to come back to this cabin!
We came up die the App State game and enjoyed a long weekend with 7 of us and our dog. Well stocked kitchen, everything we needed to cook, bake lasagna and enjoy a relaxing weekend. Thank you Natures Call!
We rented this beautiful home for a week in August. Had so much fun exploring the surrounding area - went WW rafting, hiking, shopping - so much to do! The house was perfect for our family, with enough space for kids to be downstairs hanging out and adults upstairs relaxing. Would love to return when the weather is cooler. Super clean and well stocked. Beds were amazingly comfy - had the best sleeps!! Kids also loved exploring the creek behind the house. Highly recommend this home!
Excellent overall. Very clean. Pictures are accurate, but the real experience is even better. Comfortable common areas and beds. Fully-stocked kitchen that easily meets all needs. Hot tub was a hit with my boys. The creek is perfect. It is at the bottom of a somewhat steep hill, but is easily accessible and worth the walk. We will no doubt be back - a new mountain favorite. Less than 15 minutes to Boone.
Thank you so much for allowing us to visit your property and create memories with our family of our 39th wedding anniversary and our daughters in loves birthdays!! Nature's Call was perfect for us!! Have stayed all over the world over 42-years of business and personal travel and am a home chef. Your kitchen was the best well equipped kitchen ever experienced!! And we got to bring the dogs too!! Totally awesome!! Next time we need a high country get away we will ask to visit with you again!! We have only kudo's and thanks for memories and no regrets or recommendations.
We thought the property was great. However we had a few issues first comforter on the king size bed didn't appear clean and the queen size bed box spring fell through to the floor. The side rails upon which it rest were cracked at the ends where the screws attach them. We called the office number and she connected us with Chad. I left Chad a message but we never heard from Chad so we made do. There was also no foosball table as stated in the listing. Even with the issues I would still recommend this property.
My husband, two boys (7&10), 10lb dog and myself LOVED everything about this property! We were hesitant to book at first because most of the activities that interested us were on the west side of town closer to Banner Elk but we kept coming back to Nature's Call listing because it looked perfect for us and it was! The downstairs game room/den was so much fun, as was the hot tub, fire pit, big swing out front, creek in the back. The wrap around porch was great with plenty of rockers, swings, large table, hot tub and grill. We had a blast snow tubing @ Hawksnest, Wilderness Alpine Coaster, Grandfather Mt. Suspension Bridge, and hikes at Moses Cone & Julian Price Memorial Lake. We ordered delivery from Bella's our first night but our fave meals were at Lost Province in Downtown Boone and Banner Elk Cafe. The coolest place we went was "Avante Garden Home" between Hawksnest & Sugar Mt - craft beers, local wines, snacks, make smores at your own fire pit while sitting on swings and feeding free roaming turkeys and chickens. No real cons about property just observations: the stairs down to basement and incline to back creek are pretty steep, the porch is enclosed with gates but we were worried our little dog might try to sneak out the bottom unattended. Cabin is right off a road you rarely heard/saw cars but there is no neighborhood or side area to really walk a dog. Ours got enough exercise just around the property so it wasn't an issue. The front yard is not somewhere you wouldn't kick/throw a ball, uneven surface with wildlife droppings but kids didn't mind because they loved the swing so much. Well stocked kitchen +some essentials like left over saran, tea, oils, coffee filters, fire starters, starter TP, paper towels,soaps,shamp/cond. Dimly lit upstairs but the heat worked great for both upstairs and basement-important for us Floridians : ) Bunks were not made up but we found linens downstairs -which is listed in info binder but we didn't get to read it until after scrambling to get kids to bed. We drove an average of 30-40minutes each way for most of our outings but it wasn't an issue. We have travelled to many places and this is definitely one of our favorite rentals!
This cabin was probably the cleanest Iâve ever stayed at. Everything about this place was amazing! The fireplace is wonderful, the game room was just what was needed for my 2 grandsons and the hot tub was great !!! I canât say enough great things about this cabin, I highly recommend renting.
My husband and I wanted to take our 6 month old hiking, we rented this beautiful cabin and couldnât have asked for a better trip. We loved coming back home to the cabin, we felt at peace there and it was extremely clean, well taken care of and you can tell the family that owns it puts so much love into it. Thank you for allowing us to have an opportunity to enjoy this cabin, we took care of it while we were there like we owned it. Weâll definitely be back!
