We enjoyed our time in Little Spruce cabin! Its a small space but good for a week with 2 families. There is very limited kitchen space for food prep and dry food storage, but we made it work! Clean and super helpful staff.
Long weekend in Lake Placid area, primary focus on skiing/snowboarding. Just 2 miles from Whiteface Mountain.
This Chalet is awesome! Will be back in March.
This cabin was a wonderful spot to stay for Ironman Lake Placid - close enough to town to be convenient for race related needs but away from the craziness of downtown, and right on the bike course so my husband was able to spectate with ease! Its a beautiful, quiet location. The cabin was bigger and more well furnished than we expected, beds were very comfortable, and the living/dining area was great for just relaxing, small but functional kitchen and a full size fridge which was fantastic. We also enjoyed the beautiful picnic area in the middle of the cabins. Walking distance from a great breakfast/lunch spot and very close to everything we needed in Wilmington. Hosts were super helpful and available via text. Overall an excellent stay, will definitely stay here again for the race or a future hiking trip!
Very cozy and clean cabin in a very convenient location between Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid. Beds were extremely comfortable and loved having access to a fire pit complete with both wood for firming and fire starting wood. Also very close to two great local restaurants and local hiking that is accessible with minimal tourism. Overall, awesome experience and would choose this accommodation again!
My husband and I stayed here recently with our 3 young children and it was absolutely perfect! Very clean, cozy, enough beds for us all, nice living room area to spread out a bit, play games, etc. Super close drive in to Lake Placid and lots of great little places to eat. It was perfect for what we needed. Highly recommend!
The property presented exactly as advertised. Very clean and ideally located, exactly what we are hoping for. This was the first of what we hope to be many trips to the area.
Up for a night to visit local hiking areas and Lake placid. Loved the location and the cabin was perfect. There was a lot of space, and we had a great stay.
Beautiful area in the heart of the Adirondacks. Cabin was pleasant with good hot water and plenty of space. Only issue was when the furnace went out. We were able to make it work with included space heaters and gas fireplace, but it would have nice to be able to use built-in furnace as advertised. Otherwise great!
My husband, German shepherd, and I enjoyed our stay in the Wilderness Inn Spruce cabin. It was exactly as described and had everything we needed. Unfortunately we went during this summers hottest and most humid heat wave. Our first night we couldnât even sleep because of the heat. They did have 3 fans in there for us which helped. Not their fault that the weather was unbearable. We would return again in the future!
Small cabin with a bit of a strange layout but everything you would need for a few nights in the ADK. Decor and appliances are a bit dated, but everything was clean and functional. Cabin was well cleaned on arrival, super easy check-in and check-out. Owners had great communication throughout, and seem to be trying to improve the place. Its not a 4 star resort, but our dog liked it and it was great place to unwind after a long day hiking.
While our cabin could possibly sleep 9, this was a great space for our family of five! This cabin is centrally located to several of the local attractions such as Whiteface Mountain, Lake Placid, Ausable Chasm, etc. We are not a family that enjoys camping, so this fully furnished cabin with two full baths & functional kitchen was perfect for us! We enjoyed our stay.
The location in the "high peaks" area of the Adirondacks is a wonderful area to visit. The owners were in contact but did appear to be present at the property. The property itself does not appear to have been updated since the 50's. Furniture, mattresses, beds bathrooms etc. are old and worn. Cleanliness needs improvement as there were dried scrambled eggs left in a fry pan. One has to realize that the Aidrondacks arwe meanb to be preserved as naturally as possible. Saying that, the grounds are rugged and anyone with mobility issues might have a problem here.
It's great little cabin. Cute little propane fireplace and more beds than we needed. Could sleep a small army in this little cabin! The restaurant on-site was good and kid friendly. Would stay there again
