This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

The perfect stay for a girlfriends weekend! The property was in walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and everything else needed for a great weekend trip! Perfect property to stay at if you are going to Charleston, SC!

The location was amazing, right down from King Street, bagel shop right down the block, Corner Grocery store around the block! Beds were very comfortable, tons of towels, kitchen fully stocked and our own parking spot! We were only there for about 24 hours (went to the Mumford and Son's concert on Daniel Island), but it was a perfect stay for the four of us. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Location

The property is only a couple blocks away from great food and drink but still with a quiet neighborhood vibe. The house was clean with comfy beds and recently remodeled bathrooms. I would easily choose to stay here for futures stays.

Loud, roaches. And a boxspring-less bed

The place is cute and close to the shopping and restaurants on king st. That’s the good.There were a bunch of roaches. 2 dead ones, 4 or 5 alive ones. One of the beds had some kind of makeshift box spring that was essentially just two beams crossing in the middle. You can imagine how comfortable that was to sleep on. The house was maybe just a downside of being so close to the action. One of the bedrooms with an actual, functioning bed faces the street and is literally inches from a busy sidewalk. Lots of drunk traffic walking to and from the bars.

Charleston - the Good and the Bad

Location of property is great! The place we stayed was not so good. The beds were great but bathrooms were awful. There is a reason they don’t show photos of the showers/baths online. Mold behind the caulk, dirty shower, terrible workmanship…in need of some major renovation in the bathrooms and a new cleaning crew. I am always less concerned about aesthetics and more concerned about condition. Place needs some care and work. But I guess we paid for the location and that was a plus.

The best thing about the property was the location and the bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable and it’s nice to have a king size bed. The rest of the house was kind of shabby. The showers were gross. They definitely need to be gutted and replaced

Great stay!

The location was excellent! King St was a block away and there was a fabulous bagel shop diagonal from the property. There were three good size bedrooms and two bathrooms. The bathrooms were a little run down and could use a face-lift. We were 6 adults and we were all comfortable sitting in the living room. The only problem was that the property sits on a busy street and it was very loud at night. People were talking, yelling, and laughing and you could hear everything. We were also on the first floor and when the upstairs guests arrived it was extremely loud and difficult to sleep. However, you really got a flavor of Charleston living and we enjoyed our stay.

Great little place for a family!!

We had a great stay at this cute little location close to everything in the city. All of the things we did were within 15 min of our location. We had a convenient parking spot off street several ft from our front door. It had 3 nice sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Nice sized living room/ kitchen area as well.Would stay here again! here

Perfect Girls Getaway

We had a great time celebrating a birthday in Charleston. The Chic Retreat met all of our needs. Comfy beds & living room, kitchenette w dishwasher, full size fridge & little dining table. Easy 2 short block walk to upper King Street and off street parking for one car.

First floor flat

Great location to walk to many things along King St. There is an upstairs apartment as well. Lucky had fairly quiet people staying there. The kitchen is very limited. We had already planned to eat out a lot so was not really an issue for us. Noise machines very handy with Cannon St traffic. Very clean when we arrived. Having 1 on site parking space was nice.

Quick trip

Only had one night in Charleston so we wanted a place close enough to shops and restaurants. This was a perfect spot. Onsite parking was a bonus. Beds were also very comfortable.

Very run down--antiquated kitchen and a very uninviting small patio that was unusable and not walking distance to any main charleston attractions-no chest of drawers in any rooms and no coat hangers-old bathrooms-very disappointing!!!!!!!!!!

House cleanliness was immaculate. Short on on seating for a 3 bedroom house. Dated. Pergo needs replaced. Poor job with hall bath flooring. Sound machines were almost enough to cover street noisre. Beds uncomfortable for 2 of 4 of us. Linens perfect.

Mostly good

Not so good: driveway is tight - if there on trash day, they will have to squeeze trash can by your car (found mirror folded in). Floors in living area & bedrooms have large gaps in the "boards" in the floors - hopefully will update those to same nice floors in bathrooms. Sound machine in the front bedroom does not help - it makes annoying rattling noise & does not cover up street noise. Getting into Netflix or other apps, is extremely slow (also once you get into them, it is slow going). No counter or cabinet space to speak of. Very small dining table-only has 3 chairs. Helpful to know: none of the bedrooms have an ensuite. The 2 back bedrooms share a bathroom and the front bedroom has bathroom in hallway (right across from front door!) The good: Hand soap was provided in kitchen and bathrooms as well as dish detergent in the kitchen. The hooks in bathrooms and bedrooms. The full length mirrors in two of the bedrooms even though I didn't need them. The showers with all the little shelves (although the showers themselves need a little TLC). Beds were comfortable. In fact, my husband went so far as to say it was the most comfortable bed he has ever slept in! Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and the living room!!!! As a woman in her 16th year of hot flashes, they are essential! The helpfulness and prompt response to all communications. We did not have any issues but if we had, I am sure response would have been as good as the other communication. Customer service is great!

Amazing location!

We had six people stay in this house and it was super comfortable. The check in process was smooth and we even got to check in early! They offer a grocery delivery service which was great because when we arrived, our fridge was fully stocked! We went to some amazing restaurants near the water, golfed, toured the USS Yorktown, and went to a lot of fun bars. It is a very walkable town and so much to do, a lot of great history too. The host was very responsive and we didn’t have any issues. Overall a great stay and would 100% comeback!
