RĂ©veillez-vous avec de belles vues sur la montagne et le son d'un ruisseau Ă  l'extĂ©rieur de votre fenĂȘtre ou de belles dĂ©rives de neige intacte. AprĂšs une journĂ©e de ski ou de randonnĂ©e, profitez de notre fabuleux bain Ă  remous jacuzzi ou allumez l'une des nombreuses options de feu tout en regardant le coucher du soleil. Les activitĂ©s sont nombreuses en Ă©tĂ© comme en hiver et incluent le ski / snowboard de classe mondiale, le ski de fond, le VTT, le rafting et la randonnĂ©e juste devant la porte ou Ă  quelques minutes sur la route.

Notre chalet est équipé de tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin pour préparer une collation rapide ou un repas gastronomique. La belle verrerie, la vaisselle, le linge de maison, les ustensiles de cuisine et les piÚces de service vous permettent de profiter de cette escapade autant que vous le feriez pour votre propre maison. Il y a aussi un gril à charbon Weber et un gril à gaz sur la grande terrasse qui entoure l'arriÚre de la maison. Avec 2 cheminées et un décor agréable, préparez-vous à vous détendre et à sourire beaucoup. C'est vraiment un endroit spécial.

The property was exactly as expected, a perfect little mountain getaway. The hosts were super welcoming and gracious. Highly recommend La Barranca. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, but still private enough to feel secluded. Not far from Breck in case you want to venture into town. Great stay, worth a visit!

Mountain retreat

We had a great stay in Blue River. The view from the balcony was fabulous and peaceful! House was very well equipped. Easy drive to Breck with lots of hikes, waterfalls, lakes and great food!

The property was in an upscale neighborhood inan excellent location, close to Breckenridge, Frisco, Dillon, Keystone and Copper Mountain. There was great hiking accessible across the street,and lots to do in the area. The property was very clean and well appointed,and had all the comforts of home- a modern and well stockedkitchen, very comfortable living area with lots of light from all of the windows overlooking the deck. The large screen TV was a bonus withaccess to great streaming channels. A wonderful jacuzzi hot tub complete with comfy robes, a large wrap around deck with nice dining table and adirondack chairs facing the mountains was the icing on the cake. Hearing the mountain stream cascading over the rocks at the back of the property was so relaxing. The forested setting added to the serenity and privacy of the property. The hosts were very accommodating and ready to assist if needed. This will be our go to destination vacation rental every time we return to the area.

Great place

Everything was clean and the place was spectacular. We did have an awd vehicle and had to be pulled out of the drive way by a tow truck since we couldn’t get up the hill but that could be due to a rental car not having the best tires. But the host was very accommodating with a recommendation of who to call and very helpful. Would stay there again without a doubt.

Amazing stay!

We enjoyed every bit of our stay, and this was the perfect home base. It was easy to get into town for dinner, but also easy to escape for adventures. The neighborhood as a whole was quiet and relaxing. A great escape from ‘normal’ life.

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay. Cabin had everything we needed. Hot tub was great after hikes. We saw moose at the property which was a special treat. We highly recommend the property as it is close to hikes and 15 min to town.

High Altitude Getaway

It was very cozy little house and in a beautiful mountain neighborhood setting. Home was spotless and very well kept and supplied and was so much better than a hotel! I didn't realize how high up the home and town were! So if you aren't in good physical shape or have breathing issues I wouldn't suggest renting there. It was only 12 minutes to town so close enough to do a few times a day. Got to watch My Eagles Win their 2nd Superbowl there and was great starting at 430pm vs. 630pm back home. Highly recommend this home and love to see in summer! Owner was very helpful when ever needed.

A very nice home, maintained with care by the owners. We enjoyed the view as well as the nearby mountain stream. Dawn was readily available when we had a minor problem, which was quickly resolved.

Beautiful area

Great little place! We stayed in March and went snowboarding, it was absolutely beautiful. Tons of snow! The driveway is a little steep so make sure you have a vehicle that can handle ice/snow!

Great location for remote activities.

Quiet neighborhood and beautiful view. Seemed to be so remote but actually very close and convenient to Breck and all that goes on there. We back country skied and snowshoed in the valley. This is the perfect location to get to Quandary Park and Hoosier Pass.

We absolutely loved our stay. The location was perfect, not too far from town and the lifts. Quite neighborhood and visits from the local Moose and fox were a real treat! Dawn is very responsive and accommodating! Highly recommend this location.

We had a wonderful stay. This was our second time staying at La Barranca. The house is cozy and has everything you could need. We've stayed at many rental properties over the years, and Dawn and Terry are pro's - responsive and accommodating. We would stay here again!!

Fantastic!

La Barranca was such an amazing place to stay. The view of the mountains, wrap around deck, hot tub, fireplace, being tucked away surrounded by pine trees - it was perfect! My wife and I stayed for a week and it was truly lovely. Only a 10 minute drive into town as well.

Excellent rtay in remote, but close cottage

2 Couples had a great time in the mountains. The views were breathtaking and the proximity to town was perfect for our little group. The fireplaces around the home and the hot tub on the deck made it feel so cozy and warm. Was such a delight to be able to have our pups with us as well! Will definitely be looking to stay again!

Private, quiet and beautiful views!

We enjoyed our stay and were very happy with the layout of the house. PROs:- beautiful mountain home- quiet and privateCONs:- getting out of the driveway was challenging with an AWD SUV after snowplows cleared the road following a 4" snow. - Discovered there was no body wash or dishwasher soap once we used shower and dishwasher for the first time. - Ask for the house rules prior to your stay. We had to leave the property by 6am to catch flight at DIA and were instructed to have all towels and bedding washed and dried. Given the TOD, we were advised to use the speed wash which takes 15 minutes, something my minor germophobe tendencies doesn't embrace as a new guest.

Wow, words cannot describe how incredible our stay was!My boyfriend and I celebrated our 9th anniversary at this gorgeous location. Dawn and Terry were quick to respond to us when we had questions about the place. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at their beautiful home!

Avid skiers and outdoor enthusiasts, we love to play in the mountains during all times of the year. We own Environs Residential, a design/build construction company and spend most of our time in Atanta, GA. Terry, a native of Ohio, was a resident of Breckenridge for 18 years prior to moving east. Dawn, a native of Tennessee, has lived in Atlanta since 1988. We love to travel to exciting new places and always look for spots where we can enjoy the outdoors or city culture. In addition to playing outside, we love to cook, appreciate nice wine and entertain our friends and neighbors. Sharing our little slice of heaven in the mountains is especially enjoyable. We love the comments and photos our guests send us after their stay.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

It took us 5 minutes in the house to decide to purchase it. A long-time friend of Terry's with whom we were having a beer a the local pizza joint, Fatty's, told us about it and drove us out to the place. Loving the location and of course the stream, we immediatley called another friend and realtor, Stephanie Epps, who got us in to see it the next day. We ended up buying the house along with both lots on either side! We love Valley of the Blue and our quiet street high above Hwy 9. The neighbors are great and the stars at night are magical.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our mountain cottage is only 6 miles down Hwy 9 from Breckenridge. Far enough to have privacy and close enough for a trip to town for dinner. We love the serenity of the mountains, the stars at night from the hot tub and the views of Quandry Mountain from the deck and living room. It's small enough so that a couple can enjoy it to themselves without breaking the bank :-)
