A PROPOS DE NOS BIENS:
Vivez un peu de la vieille Nouvelle-Angleterre. Notre VRBO est un charmant historique appartement de ferme de la famille (2100 pieds carrés) avec beaucoup d'espace et de confort, entouré par 22 hectares. Construit en 1782, notre ferme était célèbre pour l'élevage des poulets de roche Plymouth rayée. Il ya une centaine d'années, l'un de ces coqs de roche barreaux a remporté le grand prix de 2000 $. 00 au Madison Square Garden à New York, ça fait beaucoup d'argent pour les années 1800! Beaucoup d'autres grands prix ont été gagné ainsi, et donc notre unité de location a construit dans le coffre-fort de la paroi qui a été utilisé à l'époque pour maintenir les gains (nous ne disposons pas de la combinaison du coffre, mais nous ont laissé un stéthoscope il si vous voudraient essayer de déchiffrer le code.).

Construit par la famille Bradley, la ferme a été l'un des premiers et des plus grandes habitations dans la région. À ce jour, la rue est nommé Bradley St .. La rivière traverse notre petite vallée, traversée parfois par des pygargues à tête blanche, des balbuzards et des grands hérons.

SUR LES BERKSHIRES

La beauté naturelle des Berkshires est légendaire. Collines pittoresques, des lacs tranquilles et doux ruisseaux.

Les Berkshires sont célèbres pour la musique de classe mondiale et de danse. Tanglewood, la résidence d'été de l'Orchestre symphonique de Boston est à dix minutes en voiture de notre emplacement. Il est un lieu de musique extraordinaire où les amateurs de musique graves peuvent s'asseoir près, tandis que les familles ou plus les auditeurs occasionnels peuvent se détendre et pique-nique sur la belle pelouse expansive. Pillow Dance Festival de Jacob est un trésor avec le meilleur de la danse du monde entier. Expériences de santé de première classe et de fitness sont disponibles à travers l'achat de jours de spa au Canyon Ranch, une station thermale de renommée mondiale, (appeler à l'avance) et Kripalu, un centre de méditation et de bien-être célèbre. Summer in the Berkshires!

Wonderful location to explore the Berkshires from! Very accommodating! The owners were very helpful and we really enjoyed visiting with them. Comfortable beds, lots of sitting areas, great accommodations for a family! Beautiful setting!

Wonderful stay, gracious hosts and charming home

This is our second stay at Golden Hill Farm and it's an absolute delight. The house is charming - very clean and well equipped, and the yard is absolutely beautiful. Tim was especially kind to invite our kids to feed the horses on the grounds, which they loved. Very family friendly and a wonderful spot for a Berkshires get away.

If you haven’t stayed in a 200-year-old farmhouse in a while, it might take you a day or two to get used to its quirks. We stayed two weeks and succumbed thoroughly to its charm. It suited us perfectly for our needs.

Great place to stay in the Berkshires

This was a perfect rental for our family's first visit to the Berkshires. It's centrally located, spacious and very clean. Wendy and Tim are accommodating and helpful hosts and provide everything you can possibly need for a comfortable stay. The fresh flowers in the kitchen were a particularly lovely touch. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to this area.

Multi-generational family Berkshires stay

My sister, our mother and niece stayed at the farmhouse as our base to explore the Berkshires and attend Tanglewood concerts. The house was immaculate and comfortable as well as close to so many area attractions, including Tanglewood. Wendy and Tim were great, responsive hosts.

Lovely rental!

We had a wonderful experience at this property - it was clean and comfortable, offered all the comforts of home. It's just a short drive to Butternut, which is where we skied. Great for kids - our 4 year-olds were happy and had plenty of space to play. Wendy and Tim were wonderful hosts!

Nostalgic old farmhouse

This house was cool. Very old wooden creaky floors, steep staircase and old antiques there. Reminded me of my grandparents house on the farm. Not fancy or new, but cozy and very roomy. We had a great visit.

A comfortable stay in a beautiful place!

For the second year, my childhood friends and I have stayed for a weekend at the Golden Hill Farm house and we are already planning our return for next year! This large house is perfect for our group of six with a well stocked kitchen, large dining table, and comfortable beds. Peaceful views out the window, birds, chickens, horses... The house is a short distance from great dining in Lenox, outlets in Lee, and New England charm in Great Barrington. Wendy and Tim are a pleasure to book with. Would recommend this house without reservation!

Delightful Stay at an Old Farmhouse

We spent 2 weeks in this delightful old farmhouse. Wendy was very helpful and communicative before and during our stay. The original building dates from the late 1700's, and has the charm and quirks you'd expect of such an old building - creaky floors, sticky windows, etc. And a mystery safe! The house has all the basic supplies and amenities needed. Location is very good, next to a couple of old barns, big fields, and comes with a good amount of outdoor space for guests to use. Easy trips to Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, all the Berkshire museums. We enjoyed our stay here.

Charming farmhouse in Lee

We had a wonderful month..house was homey, beautiful & very well kept. The garden was spectacular as were the views. The house is very well situated & is near all the cultural events, Tanglewood, all the theatres, & easy ride to Jacobs Pillow. The stairs are a bit steep but we managed to help each other bring things upstairs. We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen & eating dinner in the lovely dining room. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hosts were very helpful in every way. Would love to go back! Carolyn Bloom

Lovely farm house, great location

My family of 4 (2 children in early 20s) stayed here for a week. Plenty of room for all of us, comfortable beds, kitchen and sitting area far enough away from bedrooms so the early-risers (in their 50s) didn't have to worry about the sleep-laters (in their 20s). Communication with Wendy was super easy and she was very responsive. Was great to have an umbrella, picnic blanket, binoculars and bug spray availabe --- we used them all. Easy ride to Tanglewood and Jacob's Pillow, opposite directions for great performances. I also enjoyed drop-in yoga classes in Lenox, just 10 minutes away. Thanks, Wendy! And I loved waking up in the master bedroom every day and seeing your lovely flower garden out the window.

Thanksgiving stay

My wife and I booked this property for a Thanksgiving stay with our two sons who live in Boston along with our daughter-in-law and year old granddaughter. We live in upstate NY in a town next to Binghamton, NY. The location was just what we wanted, about half way between Binghamton and Boston, and the property was just right, too. Spacious, comfortable, and charming. The inside was spotless. The views outside in the back are wonderful with the horses and the prized unique chickens strolling about, and the owner who lives in the house attached to it was also friendly and helpful when we happened by each other, but otherwise it felt like we had the whole property to ourselves. It will go on our list for places for future gatherings. helpful, and quiet. It felt like we had the whole space to ourselves.

Rustic relaxation at Golden Hill Farm

Charming and warm farmhouse where my family and I congregated from around the globe to spend Christmas together. We had a Blast!! Loved watching the birds and horses or just relaxing in the sunroom overlooking a picturesque sun bleached wooden stables and barn. Right attractions like Kripalu, where we had a very relaxing day, and Local theater if you like a good play, which we did. Tanglewood was closed but lovely lenox is right near buy. The owners were lovely, letting us in when we locked ourselves out and also returning our full deposit despite accidentally breaking a small window on the front door. I would deffinitly stay here again and I know my wife, sisters, and mother will be thinking of this trip for years & years to come. The only critique was that the railing on the top floor overlooking the stairs was very low and For that reason I wouldn't recommend this location for families with small children.

Thank you for your wonderful review. We love that you loved it! The railing around the staircase is 27 inches tall. The farmhouse was built more than 200 years ago. The railing is original architecture. We appreciate your concern. We will be thinking about possible solutions. Potential guests with young children who might have worries about it are welcome to discuss it with us. We've had many families with children stay, and have never heard any complaints about the height of the railing. That said, we take seriously any critiques of our rental , always having an eye open for improvement. All houses have any number of potential hazards for young children, the list is endless. Parents must be diligent and take responsibility for the supervision of their children. We hope you will return with your family as we'd be very happy to host you again in the future.

Perfect for a family getaway

Wonderfully restored historic home, clean and with good sized rooms. We were an extended family of 8 and there were enough comfortable nooks in this house for us to still enjoy peaceful moments. We enjoyed the large yard as we lucked out on beautiful weather. And watching the birds at the feeders was such a treat! I would definitely recommend this rental for families traveling with small kids- so convenient to have a crib ready. Host is also very accommodating and responsive, definitely exceeding our expectations.

Fall Weekend

Lovely weekend - the outdoor space, views and incredible foliage was certainly a highlight. House was clean and cozy and centrally located to other nearby activities.

Spacious accommodations/many thoughtful amenities.

Tim and Wendy proved to be very gracious hosts who acknowledged and granted us very good accommodations. Location is central to many attractions, less than a mile to town of Lee, only eight to ten miles from Tanglewood and Pittsfield. House has old world charm with plentiful amenities. Hosts were available and very responsive to any questions or concerns. All in all, a wonderful week in The Berkshires.

very comfortable farm house

this is a well-appointed, comfortable house. Very centrally located. Lots of nice touches that suggest that the owners thought about what renters need. The owners were available when we needed to call about a blown circuit breaker. Cons: Some difficulties with WiFi and computer access and some traffic noise in the mornings. We'd probably rent again if we are in the Berkshires.

Farmhouse rental

Amazing stay during President's Day weekend! My kids absolutely loved the house! My 2 yr old loved looking at the horses right out of the window every day. Warm and cozy; heat was more than sufficient; kitchen was well supplied; close to supermarket and nearby restaurants. Highly recommend this place! Perfect place to come back to after a long day of skiing!

Our Farmhouse Stay

We are 3 couples in our 60's, on our 20th annual weekend away. Our stay at the farmhouse was fun. A quaint, old farmhouse with lots of personality. The digs watching from the kitchen window was a plus and the owners were really wonderful to deal with. We recommend this house to anyone looking for something with character.

Farmhouse rental

This was an excellent rental, well equipped and comfortable. The owners are attentive and live in an ajacent home. It is furnished well and the grounds are beautiful. We would certainly stay there again and recommend it highly.

Warm and comfortable family home

Our family had a wonderful holiday winter week at Golden Hill Farm house! The house easily accommodated our family of 5 adults, the kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms comfortable and the setting restful. The house was well heated so as outside temperatures dropped we remained cozy inside. Although we were there 'off-season' there were still things to do close by. We enjoyed a day a Kripalu, theatre at Shakespeare and Co. and movies in Pittsfield. We liked the farmhouse so much we ended up preparing our own meals more than we had planned. Wendy and Tim are a pleasure to book with and nice to have nearby should help be needed. The farmhouse is so well built you can't hear anything at all. We all look forward to another stay next year.
