My family had a great stay here. It's a very unique and artful space. It worked great for six of us varying in age ranges with 2 adults and 4 kids.
The Salvage Sip Cafe just up Main Street has great coffee and some breakfast items like croissants, bagels, and muffins.
We're in this area somewhat regularly and would definitely stay here again. :-)
The apartment space was even better in person than the listing shows! The decor was so fun and memorable, the space itself was great for a group of friends (the different bed types worked out great for us), and Sjohn was SO easy to work with! Everything was a breeze. We only stayed for 1 night and everyone in our group wished we booked a longer trip! We would definitely stay there again!
This was our second time staying here at the Lander Stewart Mansion and once again it was perfect. The place is clean, well stocked with treats, and is in a great location. Views of the river are amazing and it's super easy, barely an inconvenience, to walk over the bridge and into Easton. We will definitely plan on staying here on future trips. Host is very friendly, kind, and communicative.
We spent a fabulous couple of the days staying in this property. It was an incredible experience and we all felt honored to be surrounded by such wonderful artworks in an old proerty that had been lovingly rennovated with such character. It was a unique experience and way beyond and above my usual rental experience. Highly recommended.
Very unique historical property with great views of the Delaware River. Donât let the pictures fool you though, the pictures of the deck and the living room are on the first floor and you are renting the rooms on the 3rd floor, which has a nice breakfast bar with 4 stools (but no stove or oven) and no other furniture other than beds. This is a great set up for sleeping and coffee in the morning, but not for hanging out or making meals. Convenient to Lafayette and Easton.
Shohn and Sean were such amazing hosts and provide their guests with the best experiences while in a great location. The pictures truly show off how incredible it is, however nothing compares to actually walking in and staying here. This place was the pinnacle of luxury, inclusivity, and comfort. Not only did they pay attention to every ounce of detail in the decoration, but they were communicate, attentive, and so absolutely generous. This stay is ideal for those with an artistic side and an appreciation for decoration and the finer things in life. The hosts were considerate of every single detail from the place itself, but also all amenities. Walking into this stay is sure to make your jaw drop. From the beautiful stairwell to even the master bathroom, there is no doubt that everyone should experience this beautiful stay and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Historic, funky jump off point for local activities
Way better than I was expecting. The rooms were really cool, but so was the entire house. Even walking up the stairs was an experience. Stained glass, carved hardwood, an eclectic assortment of artwork all made for a great vibe. The rooms were vintage, but well appointed and full of interesting things. We really didn't want to leave, even in the rain the view out the back windows was fantastic. Would rent again!
You won't be disappointed in your stay. The host has thought of every little detail. From kitchen basic utensils you might need, to snacks, towels, games, and even a bottle of wine! We were very impressed and would definitely stay again next time we are in the area!
This property is stunning! Each room is thoughtfully curated, making every aspect of the space a work of art. John is a tremendous host and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Canât wait to stay here again next time Iâm in the area!
Our family traveled last weekend to Easton for Family Weekend at Lafayette College. Struggling to find a nice hotel, we stumbled upon the Majestic Lander Stewart Mansion. What a delightful surprise! This beautifully restored historic building was incredibly clean, fun and comfortable. The apartment is the entire third floor of the mansion. So be prepared for a few stairs (we viewed it as a minor inconvenience). The apartment is simply stunning. Each room is thoughtfully well appointed with lush furnishings, artistic architectural features, and comfortable beds. The large kitchenette was loaded with amenities and snacks. John was a respectful and wonderful host and we greatly enjoyed our visit!
