It was a great little place. Very clean and the host was super nice, although we only saw her when we arrived. The grill was brand new and we cooked all of our meals outside. There were turkeys, quail, and all kinds of birds at the feeders. It was a short drive to King's Canyon and Sequoia National Parks which were spectacular. We brought a day's worth of drinking water and refilled at the parks.
Cute cabin that is stocked with all the basics. Itâs in a remote area with limited cell reception and no WiFi, but the local wildlife is providing plenty of entertainment. The windy roads are not for the fearful drivers but itâs only a short drive to the park. Gorgeous areas to visit!
Great location for visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon
Small wood-paneled cabin with all the usual faciities. One small bedroom with queen bed and a second smaller one with a bunk bed. Adequate for a couple and a single who are good friends, but kids would enjoy it. Location is really good, being in the foothills on a scenic, windy rural road. Incredibly quiet with a view to the lower hills and valley far to the west. Kings Canyon NP is to the north. Somewhat further, heading south will take you down and then up to Sequoia NP. Very nice screened porch for warmer weather. We stayed five nights and enjoyed it. A great place to come back to after driving and hiking all day.
We arrived later than expected but were thankfully found along the road by our host who was out looking for us. The location was wonderful, twenty minutes from the park entrance. Very quiet and serene. Would definitely go back.
Great for our visit to Kings Canyon & Sequoia NPs. Kim was a great host & was quite nice!
This was a great place to stay for our week of sight seeing and hiking! The views here were a sight of there own and the bird life was a dream! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was quite comfy! Be aware this is a very remote location so have all supplies before you get there, also roads are very narrow and winding.
The night before we stayed here, we were at a 5-star hotel. When my partner saw that I had booked a Cabin in the middle of nowhere the next night, the smell of fear and uncertainty was in the air. I almost passed on this property because of the pics online. But when I read the reviews I was sold. It's more like a small house than a cabin. I was afraid to bring food but there is a full kitchen. Everything was spotless. The view and experience was so peaceful. A couple turkeys even wandered by to say hello while we were there. Don't miss this!
Very much enjoyed my stay at this property! Hosts were very friendly and helpful and made sure I made it safe. Close to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks too. Be sure to get there during the daylight as the roads are very twisty, turny. Definitely would recommend!
This cabin was nice and secluded. Very peaceful. We enjoyed watching the animals from the porch. The house was clean and stocked. The bed was very comforable. Kimberli was a great host.
An amazingly cute cabin nestled in gorgeous nature. About a 15 minute drive from Kings and Sequoia National parks its perfect for a real turn-your-phone-off get away.
Cozy inside and out with everything you need! Tons of books, games, puzzles, movie, and windows to get lost in the present.
Kim was also an amazing host and made sure I was prepared and had everything I needed.
Cabin was perfect for 2 people. The place was fully stocked and clean inside. We got to meet Kimberli, our host. She was very sweet and made us feel right at home. It was a perfect location as it was in close proximity to Kings Canyon and Sequoia Natâl Parks.
Highly recommend this property!
Very private and peaceful! The house was very clean and well stocked with everything needed. I enjoyed watching the birds, turkeys, and deer from the front porch! Just 20 minutes from the park entrance :) Highly recommend!
This small home was perfect. The home was very clean and had some amazing views. The location was also perfect. Very close to Kings National Park and Sequoia National Park. Definitely would stay again.
My husband and I had the privilege of staying at the Sleepy Raccoon this weekend and throughly enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful, the fire pit was lovely. Everything about this stay was exactly what we were looking for. If you want to unplug, unwind and disconnect from the world, the sleepy raccoon is your place!
The cabin is on beautiful property thatâs only about 20 minutes from the park. The cabin itself is very well thought out, clean, and overall comfortable. Kim was so helpful and sweet about the whole process. Check this place out!
The cabin was so cute with amazing views and sunsets! Communication with host was great. Comfortable bed. Had everything we needed for cooking. Loved the front porch. Great water pressure in the shower.
The place is great! We stayed a whole week. it's in the mountains, and it sniwed while we were there. That was exciting for us. Kimberli was very attentive, checking in frequently, lending a couple of things to make our trip more enjoyable. She's also a pleasure to talk to. I definitely recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Note to owner, the mouse you suspected might be around made an appearance - it climbed down from the kitchen cabinet and disappeared behind the TV. It was fine with us but might freak out a future guest.
Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night, because this is a little gem. Small but adequate for our group of three. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed the fire pit and the night sky was absolutely amazing! The host is very nice and extremely accomodating. Highly recommended!
WILDFLOWER ARE ARRIVING EARLEY!!!! I have tried to put everything in the cabin that I think I would want to have if I was coming up to a home away from home but keeping it simple and uncluttered. The only thing you will need to bring is your food supplies and toiletries. and personal items.
