Stayed for a couple days in the winter for my husbands birthday . It was quiet and relaxing . The hottub was perfect and the accommodations were lovely . I would deff come back if able .
We enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were very spacious and the host was very helpful and responsive. The area was very peaceful. Parking was convenient. A couple things worth noting though:-itâs a basement apartment in a large house. It was very cold unless all 3 fireplaces were on. - no cattle for cooking water for tea in the kitchen- area- bathroom is very neglected and an eye sore compared to the rest of the nice apartment. The lock in the bathroom does doesnât work, so there is no privacy. Paint is pealing off the walls and baseboard due to water damage and poor ventilation. Bathroom vent in the ceiling is so clogged with dust itâs not doing its job. Paint is also pealing off the handles of the vanity. Lots of water damage on the bathroom door. Bathroom needs renovation. - mini blinds in the bedroom window let a lot of light in the morning so itâs hard to sleep past 6am. Windows could use some curtains.
We stayed here for a nearby wedding and didn't spend much time in the property except to sleep. It was warm, comfortable, and did not feel like a basement.
Very nice place to stay - homey, comfortable, well-decorated, and clean. Enjoyed being outside of town in the country - very quiet! Thanks for a great stay!
My stay here was great! I loved the hot tub, it was very relaxing. The place was clean and cutely decorated. Owner was super sweet! Didnât really feel like a basement, you didnât hear much from upstairs which was nice!
Was at a wedding with friends and this place was just down the road from the venue. Despite a little locked door snafu we found ourself in Mary Jo was so understanding and a great host, definitely check the place out
This was a lovely spot to stay, clean, quiet and beautiful.
The grounds look out at woods and prairie. The inside is clean and cute. Plus, a hot tub!
Mary Jo is so kind and helpful.
Make sure you know itâs a kitchenette not a full kitchen, but it is well stocked and worked for our needs.
I would definitely come back!
Iam the owner of this property. I do live on the property with my two dogs, Miley and Mitzi. I also care for an injured Vet from my home. I have been in the Nursing healthcare field for over 28 years. I have always loved this area for all it has to offer. from the st criox river to the granite natural beauty smothered throughout this area. I enjoy hiking, rollerblading, walking the dogs and campfires. There is plenty of room on this 6/12 acre lot to have peace and tranquility, while enjoying natures beauty.
