This was our third stay at this property. My kids enjoy the easy access to the lake. They spend hours swimming around the pier. They also enjoyed the floats, kayaks, lily pad, and rowboat that were available for use. The house is in a great location with a beautiful lake view. The outside balcony is great for hanging out and eating meals. We hope to return again!
Property centrally located to everything. Dock area extra large, and plenty of room for sun bathing. Owners make enough items accessable to ensure you have what you need to rest and relax or swim and paddle boat the lake. Would stay again.
From the moment you walk in, there is a lakehouse feel. The view is amazing. The cottage is decorated nicely. We enjoyed fishing, paddle boat, deck area and there is a nice golf course nearby (Four Lakes CC). Relaxing, peaceful getaway. Hope to return someday.
Very nice, clean house. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Washer / dryer worked great. We grilled each night on the gas grill and used the kayaks each day. Relaxing place. Nice views of sunset.
We loved this cottage. It has absolutely everything you need and right on the lake. The views are just amazing. I couldnât get enough sunrise pictures. Loved them. On Saturday we woke up to a sailboat regatta going on right in front of the cottage. Beautiful!
The hosts were so great to talk to. I would love to meet them in person.
There is a huge swimming area with a sandy bottom right in front of the cottage. We swam, kayaked and enjoyed the bird watching.
This is a wonderful place for a couple or a family.â„ïž
The lake house was clean and cute. Spent mornings sipping coffee on the deck with fantastic views. This side of the lake is shallow and sandy, perfect for my kids to swim and explore the shells. Owners were so nice and easily available. Their boat ride around the lake was unexpected and fun. BONUS they are big ND fans! Highly recommend!
This Eagle Lake cottage is very clean and exceptionally well-provisioned, but it is the lake view that is most outstanding. Sitting on the deck, lawn or pier provides instant relaxation and a sense of peace. The owners were very responsive to my questions. Even though I wished for a bathroom on the bedroom level, I highly recommend this VRBO rental for anyone seeking a great lakefront getaway..
This is our 2nd visit to this home. It has a stunning view, fantastic owners, everything you need at your fingertips (which makes packing easier) & that at home feeling everyone loves. My boys love the lake toys, going for a kayak ride, jumping off the dock & enjoying smores at the end of the night. We can't wait to book our trip for next year!
This is a little hidden gem! My husband and I chose this property as a last minute Lakehouse get-away. It was just perfect. It's a quaint little cottage, but very nicely updated/renovated and clean. Fully stocked kitchen to cook anything. Plenty of water toys and equipment. The owners live close so they even took us for a boat ride one evening. It was delightful! The location on the water is so perfect as it sits out on a point and you almost have 180 degrees of water view and sunsets.
My only suggestion could be that the Master bedroom mattress is not very comfortable. It could use a gel topper or a new mattress. Otherwise, everything was perfect! We would highly recommend to others.
First impression⊠absolutely adorable! The location is perfectly convenient yet secluded. We spent our days resting and relaxing as well as being on the lake enjoying our sailboat. This cottage was outfitted with everything necessary for a quick getaway or an extended stay. Our favorite place was the deck⊠watching the mist rise with coffee in the morning and dinners and/or a beverage while enjoying the sunset. The cottage is small but the owners keep the property in excellent condition. Available immediately via text or call if we needed anything. We loved this spot and are already looking forward to returning next year!
PROS: 1) Wonderful lake, 2) fun on rented boat, 3) excellent location, 4) essentials well stocked, 5) clean.
CONS: 1) House lost power before check in (storm) & we werenât notified; no electric, no water 2) House is not 2 bedrooms. There are bunk beds in a landing with no door/privacy/sound barrier 3) Lots of bugs: spiders, ants, earwigs, silverfish, aphids, flies, mosquitos, moths. None harmful but A LOT (mid-90s our whole stay & we ran the AC so no open doors/windows) 4) Coffee pot took an hour to make a full pot 5) Stairway has no rail/spindles on open side to living area (safety factor). 6) Living room sectional wonât stay connected, slides around on laminate floor. 7) Upper floor & stairway are creaky (old home) & loud when moving thru bunk sleeping space. 8) Propane grill wouldnât heat above 350deg. 9) Dock needs daily sprinkler turn on/off to keep away geese.
Stay was tainted by ownerâs response to power loss. We moved to a hotel our first night because the house was uninhabitable. Owner offered us to stay an extra night no charge, we proposed a 1-night refund b/c our schedules wouldnât allow us a longer stay. Got a text two days later that because the outage was âweatherâ/not her fault, she wouldnât give a refund. Power was out ~10 hours. Unreasonable for a family of 4 (2 elem kids) to stay at a property with no lights or running water - and no working toilet! They proposed flushing #1s with a bucket of lake water....but were warned no #2s!
I have rented cottages on southwestern Michigan inland lakes, for short term vacations, over a 45 year period and have never experienced the attention to detail that put me and my wife in a âlake moodâ like this place did. Every special lake touch helped make our stay a more pleasurable getaway. The host and hostess made a special effort to communicate and please us. Eagle is a very clean lake and the solid sand bottom made it nice when playing in the water. The cottage is located on a prominent point which gives great views of she lake from the elevated deck or while looking out the big windows and sliding doors. The entire cottage was spotless. The bathroom was very clean and fresh. The cottage has everything just bring the food and drinks. Everything about the place is great but the neighbors are territorial with their properties.
Cute cottage on the lake. The owners are so nice and made sure we had no issues. It was a great week of relaxation with lots of swimming, reading, crafting and cookouts.
Lovely cottage with all the amenities you would need. The paddle boat and kayaks were a definite plus and well used by my husband and I
Quiet peaceful and just what we needed for a lovely lake getaway
My husband and I were so pleased with this property - the best location on Eagle Lake. Our 7 and 9 year old had a great time on the mini beach and long dock with the lilly pad. We were able to catch quite a few fish off the dock and enjoyed sunset kayaking. The owners were helpful and so very nice. Plus, this location is great for taking day trips to Lake Michigan or Notre Dame.
Cute Lake House where we enjoyed making memories with our family. Our grandchildren enjoyed every moment of our stay. Clean, well kept house. Beautiful Sunrises and magnificent Sunsets. The owners were wonderful and so gracious with treating us to a ride on their boat to tour the lake . Hope to return to make more memories.
We enjoyed our week at this house. The outdoor views were incredible. We were able to bring our boat for tubing as well as dock two sea doos with plenty of room on the dock. they had a nice swimming area marked off for no wake and the dark was well-maintained. The lake was definitely our favorite part of the property. We put our boat in and the Sea-Doos in one or two blocks from the house.
The house itself fit our needs for the most part. The kitchen was just the right size, and somewhat stocked. No Tupperware containers would be my only complaint in the kitchen. The bathroom was clean and very well-kept. The living room was the best part of the house with beautiful lake views.
The bedrooms were the only area I thought were a tad deceiving -itâs really a one bedroom with a bunkbed landing off the stairs for the second room ( no door). I would not call it a two bedroom house. As an older cottage its floors make noise when you walk upstairs so there is no way to not wake up whoever is sleeping in the room that is open to the stairs with the bunks and since the bathroom is downstairs you are definitely waking people up.
The master bedroom and the bunk landing were extremely clean and the views from the master bedroom were breathtaking.
The cottage smelled wonderful and was very well-kept. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and if there was anything else we needed. They even offered to let us park one of the boat trailers at their house since it was limited parking.
Very close to stores and restaurants while still being in such a quiet area at the house.
We would definitely recommend this property.
This was our second time to rent the property. The location is perfect and the views are beautiful! There is a gradual entry into the lake from the property which is perfect for children. The house was well stocked with the things we needed. We hope to return!
Great lake house!
Would definitely return!
Sandy bottom for the little ones!
Even for the big onesđ
Enjoyed are stay!
And Mary Jo the host is very easy to deal with!!!! Would recommend!
