The perfect spot for a relaxing vacation - we loved the beach access and patio and the view, plus it was quiet but still close to everything we needed. If we make it back to PR someday, we'd stay here again!
The cottage is comfortable and breezy. We loved relaxing and doing yoga on the porch and the short walk down to the private beach. We had a wonderful, relaxing time.
We spent a week at the Love Shack in Rincon, and absolutely fell in love with this place! I could have sat on that porch the entire time, and been perfectly content. Absolutely breathtaking view! We loved being able to walk to the private beach below. The cottage is so cute and cozy, had everything we needed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was perfect!
My husband and I had the BEST time at the Love Shack! Carol and Denis were so helpful and hospitable. We felt completely at home and also had complete privacy. The view of the ocean is better than advertised! It is a steep walk down to the beach (and back up!) but it is well worth it. The beach is almost completely empty besides a few walkers. The swimming is fantastic! There are plenty of nearby restaurants, bakeries!, and grocery stores. It is paradise! I hope we can come back very soon. We also LOVED sweet Sake cat. She added so much to our stay. Thanks again for an amazing birthday getaway!
We loved how private this spot was. Every morning we had a beautiful sunrise and coffee on the back porch with a beautiful view. We hope to be back soon!
My wife and I booked The Love Shack after reading some of the positive reviews and I canât even begin to tell you how spot on the previous travelers were. The views, sounds of the ocean, and convenience to all the great beaches and town made it a trip to remember.
We wonât look anywhere else other than The Love Shack when we visit the island again!
The love shack is a hidden treasure. The hosts are above and beyond great. The beautiful views, tranquility, and simple elegance of this place combined with the gracious and super accommodating hosts make it very hard to leave! Our second time here in 4 weeks! (Enough said)
First the view: nothing short of jaw-dropping! This studio cottage is perched on a lush cliff above the tree tops, facing NW. Near constant breezes & incoming storms make for a very dramatic setting. The cottage itself is rustic but comfy--not lux. Wide decks on 2 sides. Beach access on the property is a short walk down a crazy steep concrete driveway & thru their yard, & past the 'Five Furies' (little brown dogs who do not want to be your friend). The beach is below the host's main house, and what a beach it is! No other house to the left or right for at least a 1/2 mile. The stone retaining wall was built by the Spanish late 1800's. Waves can be intimidating when its rough--North shore. But very swimmable; sandy bottom leading out, with some ledges on either side. I loved it here!
We enjoyed our stay at the Loveshack. We loved the view from the deck. Its very rustic and I had to remove a few spiders but this is to be expected. My son enjoyed the shower on the deck as the inside only gets lukewarm. The sunrise was amazing. Short drive to beaches and restaurants easy parking. We will come back here again.
The Love Shack is even better than advertised! It's bigger than the pictures make it look, both inside and outside on the deck, which is a full 2-side wraparound with stunning views. Plenty of kitchen appliances and cookware, comfy bed, comfy deck furniture, and ample privacy. The hike down to the beach is a little steep, but worth it as once you are down there you'll likely have the whole beach to yourself given the limited access points. The resident cat, Sake, is very sweet. She'll leave you alone if you don't indulge her, but if you are a cat person she can alternately be your best friend. (We bought a bag of treats for her so she never failed to greet us when we came back to the house.) Staying at the Love Shack was one of the most relaxing winter holiday vacations we've ever taken. Highly recommended, and we will return!
We had a lovely time in Rincon and staying at âthe love shack.â The view is spectacular from the deck. The private beach and lighthouse trail are pluses. The hill to the private beach is not for bad kneesâbut there are loads of beaches to visit within a few minutes. The accommodationâs were as pictured and the bed very comfortable. Check-in process was a breeze. You must try Estelaâs for dinner. Delicious! Most restaurants are closed Sunday, Monday so plan accordingly. All-all a great retreat to relax.
We had an amazing stay, very well located to all local beaches and restaurants. We arrived to fresh flowers and wine for our anniversary. The views are breathtaking. The owner has very comfortable seating on the porches so you will spend every minute enjoying the views. Bug spray may be required my hubby was bothered by mosquitoes. I recommend a car, not a great area for walking due to hills and crazy drivers. Below the cottage is a gorgeous private beach but the short trek is very very steep. The cottage had everything we needed for light meal prep, and beach trips ( towels, collars, umbrellas) yoga mat for oceanfront session. I loved it and LolI forward to returning soon
My wife and I had an excellent time here. We spent the mornings drinking coffee and eating breakfast on the deck. It is amazingly private even though the house is at the end of a street. The walk to the private beach was VERY steep but worth the trek. There are hiking/walking trails to the lighthouse and a few restaurants are within walking distance. It is a very short drive to Rincon and to grocery stores. The wifi didn't work while were there although I am sure it is an easy fix. We were too busy enjoying the paradise around us to care. We went to a local art fair, snorkeled at Tres Palmas, drove to La Parguera and took a boat taxi to the mangrove islands--the trip was simply great. Some of my favorite times were sitting on the deck with a beverage in hand watching the sunrise, thunderstorms pass by, or simply enjoying the view. Thank you for a great stay!
Let me start off by saying, I never leave a review but this place is truly what they say it is âa hidden gem.â If you are looking to get away from the city life and have the beach with a country flare, you found it. We are definitely coming back!
My husband and I stayed 4 nights at this adorable little place! On our first day there, we walked down to the beach and happened to spot whales breaching! It was such an unexpected surprise! The ocean view from the deck was spectacular. We were sad to leave. Carol was a very accommodating host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon!
Ideal spot in an ideal spot! We wouldnât hesitate to return. Location is scenic and quiet, great place to unwind after a day exploring or at the many beaches that are very close.
Dennis came on a surf trip to Rincon in the late 70's and then brought me to visit in 1980. We decided to make it home and had a garage sale packed up and didn't look back. We have three rental properties in Rincon and a Sushi/Pool Bar. We have raised our daughter here and her husband our 15 year old surfer grandson enjoy Rincon with us!
