We had a lovely stay at this delightful villa. Lots of space inside and outside, with a fantastic pool. We used the BBQ a lot and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Barranco de Sao Miguel area. Angie was a fantastic host - thank you once again!
Absolutely magical place to stay full of charm and stunning views! The pool was so lovely and the house had everything we needed. The communication was great and we couldnât recommend it enough! Thank you for a truly magical holiday!
Lovely house with lots of space and a great pool for adult kids (and paddling pool for small ones) Good to be up in the hills with a breeze when it's hot, but easy to get to Olhao and Tavira for great food, shops and ferries to the beaches. Angie was very communicative and some late night arrival provisions were hugely appreciated.
This is truly a beautiful bit of luxury paradise , it was a surprise for my wife as she was already on holiday in Portugal , and we turned up the day before she was due to come home and gave her another 8 nights in this fabulously renovated farmhouse with panoramic views to die for ,she loved this place so much she wanted to live there , the owners Angie and John would do everything they could to make your holiday perfect ,Highly recommend this place ,, paradise on earth .
If you are looking for a holiday âaway from it allâ, surrounded by stunning natural beauty this is the place. The views are immense and the garden flowers are stunning.
The kids spent all day in the pool which was great fun. The house is quirky, cool and comfortable.
Action is not far away if you want beach life and âSlide and Splashâ water park was a good day out (for the kids anyway!!)
Angie was always at hand and willing to help with any questions. Thank you Angie and John!
We felt very fortunate to be able to stay in this very private villa with a superb pool and outside space, overlooking fantastic views across the valley.
A very comfortable traditonal farmhouse, with everything you need for a great holiday.
There is a small, friendly cafe bar a short level walk away. Very central for all of the Algarve's hot spots. Angie was excellent at accommodating our change of plans and her communications were outstanding, quick to respond and always friendly. We loved meeting Pedro the gardener on his tractor and David who was super friendly.
Thankyou for a lovely stay in Portugal
We had a nice stay at the villa. The pool is a really good size and we were glad that we paid a bit extra for it to be heated. Angie was a brilliant host and was always on hard to respond to any queries. It would be helpful to have a folder at the villa with emergency contacts for local drs, pharmacy, dentist etc and more information on the local area (e.g places to visit and recommended places to eat out). As mentioned in other reviews, the villa could do with some updating. The patio furniture is quite old and weather beaten. The bathrooms need updating with more efficient showers. As the villa is in a rural area, you can sometimes hear nearby animals but it is mostly a quiet and relaxing location. We managed to visit a few places in the Algarve. The villa is in a less touristy part of Portugal which suited us well.
I can not praise our holidays enough. Everything from the first email contact with our lovely host Angie to the villa, pool, travel tips was absolutely perfect. Very easy and fast communication. All my 10000 questions were answered with much patience and knowledge:)! The house as such is beautiful and super clean. There was an added bonus of a maid service with fresh towels and sheets halfway through our stay, which we didn't expect! Much appreciated! And also our first breakfast essentials as we arrived late at night. So nice! The area is lovely, short drives to the most stunning beaches. Lovely towns and villages are also nearby. We had no idea how beautiful Portugal is and will be back!!!!!!
:)
This villa is one of the best weâve stayed in. The pool is lovely and thereâs even a lawn area to sit in the shade. We had lots of fun evening meals outside. The villa itself is in a peaceful spot and much larger than you expect with comfortable bedrooms and a large sitting room. The area has lots of interesting place not just beaches. Honestly weâve had a wonderful family holiday and I donât think we could have found a better place.
We have had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful villa , very private and peaceful . Fab pool and outdoor space to chill with a glass of wine and star watch .. inside was very spacious and comfortable with all you need including a comfy bed đ. A great little cafe with drinks and snacks is only a short walk away and of course all the wonderful places to visit in the Algarve are within easy driving distance . We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at the charming , welcoming Quinta las Pedros and finally I would like to thank the host Angie for having us all xxxx we would love to return .
Lovingly converted farmhouse in very quiet area. Beautifully clean villa with all amenities, fantastic pool and outside area with gorgeous mature and well kept gardens. Would love to come back again. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful villa, we had a fantastic relaxing family holiday.
A lovely rural idyll (with luxury heated swimming pool).
A fantastic (and spacious) house that feels remote, calm, and picturesque. The building itself has space where you need it (a great high-ceilinged lounge), a good annex-like room upstairs for teenagers to hide away in, and some great facilities. The kitchen is a little tight (this is a proper farmhouse conversion) but you get used it to and there are numerous build barbies for outside cooking. The pool was super warm, a good size, and quite deep. The neighborhood feels very rural, you're halfway up a mountain (well, very big hill), and there are some amazing views and lovely peaceful walks.
Coms with the owner were great - some helpful notes, direction (it is quite hard to find in the dark), and everything was sorted very smoothly. We were there for nearly two weeks and will be recommending the house to friends who want the benefits of being near Faro, while not feeling they are part of the hustle and bustle of resort life.
We found this property very comfortable and convenient. It is located well away from the built-up areas of the Algarve but the coastal towns are within easy reach. The swimming pool is excellent. The rooms and the garden are very pleasant too.
Loved being up in hills, away from it all where we could relax by the pool, enjoy the views, bbq the wonderful fish we bought at Loule and Olhau markets and of course drink lots of great wine - all without being disturbed by anyone. We were lucky to have perfect weather too. It was a great holiday.
We stayed for 14 nights at this Villa and it was probably the nicest one that we have stayed in over the last few years of renting villas abroad.
The owners communication was spot on and the facilities and surroundings were just perfect.
We werenât disturbed during our stay which was wonderful as we like to have peace and quiet when we are away .
We paid extra for the pool to be heated which was glorious. (Well worth it ) , even though the weather was fantastic.
I would like to thank the owner for recommending a great restaurant Lagar de Mesquita , which we went to twice while we were there .
Will definitely be going back soon .
This was a lovely private villa. Very spacious and comfortable. Perfectly placed for privacy peace and quiet. The pool was lovely and much enjoyed by my youngest daughter. Gorgeous views of the mountains and on the other side the sea. Well away from the busy tourist spots but with the car it was still easy to get around. Very relaxing just what we'd hoped for.
I am Angie, I bought our Quinta (farm) in 2004. It took us about 3 years to get our house ready for rental. We have been renting now since 2007. Prior to having our Quinta we had a property on the coast which became too busy for us. We love being where we are and manage to visit our house about 5/6 times a year. Prior to retiring I flew with a major airline and when in England we live in the Cotswolds
We wanted to get away from the crowds and this farmhouse, tucked away in the real Portugal had everything we wanted. We love the view, the tranquility and the people.
Our house is cool in the summer with its thick stone walls. We have lovely breezes in the summer and azure skies. We can walk to our coffee bar and sit and watch the world go by, we can visit a local restaurant and eat freshly caught fish. We can stay at home and swim, sunbathe and then when the sun goes down, switch the pool lights on and stargaze whilst we have a drink. Will we eat out, we will barbeque, perhaps we will eat in,? It does not really matter. We just love to unwind............... we hope you will too.
