This was a great location if headed to Killington. I did not realize we were staying on the bottom of the house (my error in missing that in description). If you have guests above that are quiet, its not a problem, however we had a bunch of loud late night stompers above which kept us awake. The mud room was nice to store equipment, however with no heat we had to end up bringing boots/jackets etc into the main house to keep them warm. We had a ton of snow, and someone removed it several times a day which was great. Dean was also a very responsive host.
Super quiet and peaceful location. Great kitchen and living room space thatâs super cozy. Thereâs two units, an upstairs and a downstairs unit. We were downstairs but had no issues with noise from upstairs guests.
Picked it for proximity to Killington and Sugarbush, size and hit tub access. All worked out very well. And Dean was very helpful including amazing overnight snow removal. Would certainly come back.
We would highly recommend this rental if youâre looking to stay near Killington Ski resort. We loved the property itself, location, everything about it! The host was very responsive and the unit was very clean.
The only thing I would add is that the driveway is very steep so we needed to use 4WD to be able to get up to the house with the ice!
Thank you for a great stay!
We stayed over the Presidents Day holiday weekend. We had a mixed group of friends and family, adults and teenagers. The open floor plan of the family room and kitchen gave us plenty of room to relax after a great day skiing. The bedrooms and bunk room were clean and comfortable. The house is about 15 minutes to Killington, close enough to be there early. We'll stay here again.
We stayed at Lori and Dean's Killington Ski House for a few days the week after Christmas. Not perfect weather, but we had no complaints at all about the accommodations. The house was just as described online. It was very cozy with a fire going in the woodstove. The kitchen is modern, clean, and well stocked. The bedrooms and baths accommodated us just fine (3 adults and 2 children).
The house is in a beautiful mountain area for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. The drive to Killington was easy.
Lori was very responsive to questions.
I would definitely recommend this property to other vacationers.
Wonderful, clean home that can fit 10 adults comfortably
The property was great! My group of 10 adults (3 couples and 4 singles) fit in the home comfortably. We had the bottom level of the duplex. I originally had concerns about sharing a property with up to ten other people that we didn't know, but it was never an issue and I'm sure that the tenant requirements that the owners set forth are a big reason why. The house was very warm and well insulated and the fire place provided ample heating. The bunk beds are "adult sized" and even the biggest of my group (6'4", 230lbs) fit in the bunk comfortably. We even had a couple sleep in one of the bunks when the resident snorer was kicked out of the bunk room to the sofa bed. One point of caution with the property, and it is mentioned in the listing, is that it is located up a fairly long hill, parts of which can be a little steep. I would recommend all wheel drive if staying here, or at least good tires. Overall, an excellent place with everything you would need to enjoy your stay. To top it off, Lori was very responsive and provided timely and useful feedback throughout.
We rented this ski house for a late season getaway to Killington. The house was very clean, well located and spacious. We really liked the huge kitchen too. Lori was very prompt in answering all our questions and the entire rental process went very smoothly! Highly recommended!
Just one piece of advice: The driveway is STEEP, we had some issues with a crappy rental van. If you're coming in the winter you might wanna bring a decent car.
Recently rented this unit with 6 adults and a baby. We had a great time. Beautiful new kitchen and a great TV to watch the Pats playoff game. The owners(Lori and Dean) were upstairs and they were great. Even an ice storm couldn't spoil the fun.
Our stay at the house was truly fantastic. The house is exactly as advertised and fit 10 of us without a problem. It was very comfortable and only a short drive away from Killington mountain. Dealing with the owners was a pleasure, as Lori was very quick to respond to all of our (many) questions. We definitely plan to stay here again.
Everything was exactly what the website stated and Very Clean. Updated kitchen was excellent and fully equipped. Great location, close to grocery store and the mountains. Lower level was a perfect size for two families with young kids. Lori was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this house to anybody whoâs looking for a very clean & gorgeous house in the mountains.
My friends and I rented this cottage for a fall getaway weekend, and this was the perfect spot. We drove here from Ontario and stayed in the lower part of the cottage.
Cozy, conveniently located near several of Vermont's excellent craft breweries, and we really appreciated the well-appointed kitchen. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Would absolutely stay here again!
A group of friends and I rented the lower level of this house for a ski weekend at Killington. The house was in great shape, plenty of space, clean and inviting. I highly recommmend staying here, especially for those looking to stay close to Killington Ski Resort but still have the privacy of a house in a quiet location.
We recently rented the lower level of the ski house. We spent all day on the mountain and then made dinners in the well-equipped kitchen. There was plenty of room and the wood stove kept us nice and warm! There were all the amenities you would need for a weekend stay and then some. Would highly recommend and hope to stay again next year!
We were so happy with our stay. The house is well maintained with a great kitchen with granite counters, stainless appliances and well stocked with pots/pans, cooking needs, true VT feel with the wood burning stove. It was great that so many supplies were provided...saved time shopping and money! I loved the antler chandelier and all of the decorations. Really felt like a vacation. Great location, too. Close to Killington and Pico and snow mobiling right from the home's driveway. Owners are a pleasure to deal with. Definitely returning.
