Cette maison se trouve sur Lakeshore Road, qui relie Manistee au lac Michigan et relie le célèbre M-22 au nord. Terrain calme et boisé. Nouveau sur VRBO en 2019 et vient d'être rénové - appareils électroménagers, armoires, revêtements de sol, salle de bains, terrasse. Prenez votre café du matin sur le pont au bord de la chambre principale, passez votre après-midi à la plage du quartier, détendez-vous au coin du feu et regardez le soleil se coucher sur l'eau; écoutez les vagues au loin pendant que vous regardez les étoiles. Cuisine bien équipée, nouveau matelas queen Tuft & Needle dans la première chambre, 2 lits jumeaux dans la 2ème chambre, matelas pneumatique dans la pièce avant pour un enfant supplémentaire ou un ami. Linge de lit et de toilette fourni, voiturette de plage pour vos fournitures de plage, foyer et barbecue au charbon. Plusieurs points d'accès à l'eau à proximité, notamment une zone d'observation située directement de l'autre côté de la rue et une petite plage publique gratuite située à moins d'un quart de kilomètre sur une route pavée Pas de sillage du lac intérieur peu profond (Bar Lake) avec une rampe de mise à l'eau juste au coin de la rue - idéal pour le kayak ou la pêche. Tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour une escapade relaxante au Michigan! Manistee est une ville balnéaire victorienne endormie, l’origine méridionale du célèbre M-22, connu pour sa promenade au bord du fleuve et ses magnifiques plages publiques GRATUITES. En moins d’une heure, vous pourrez vous rendre aux Sleeping Bear Dunes, au phare de Point Betsie ou aux établissements vinicoles en tournée à Traverse City. Charming cottage

We enjoyed our stay. Loved the decor, clean and well apppinted with everything we needed. Electric fireplace, quiet neighborhood and small beach nearby to watch the sunset were pluses. Great place for an up north getaway.

We had a great time at Trevor and Laurie’s! Smooth from beginning to end. Comfy beds, and the sun room worked great as an extra bedroom for our daughter who’s still in a travel crib!

Getaway weekend

We really enjoyed our stay at Laurie and Trevors place, the house was as described, clean with great views. Host were very responsive, and I recieved all my information about the property days before we arrived. Manistee is a great little town, with lots to do and plenty of beaches. We would definitely stay again.

Great getaway

The property was exactly as described and in very good condition. Excellent location within walking distance to several lake access points and a large public beach. The owners were very helpful, easy to work with, and very responsive to communications.

Had a great time!

The house was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. When we had a bonfire we could hear the waves from the lake. Nice and close to downtown Manistee. We'll be back!

Lovely cottage close to Lake Michigan

My husband & I had the most wonderful stay at our cottage near Manistee. The hosts responded to our every need and the cottage had everything we could possibly need on our vacation. We had just a short walk to the beach and shopping was close by in Manistee. We had so much fun, we really didn’t want to leave. We would 100% stay here again! Thank you to our hosts for making our vacation a dream!

Amazing Location

We booked Trevor and Laurie's family cottage for a last minute getaway to Michigan and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The location was great, the house is great, and communication with Trevor and Laurie was great. A short trip but we will absolutely be returning.

Great Calm Honeymoon Spot

The house is very cute, and clean! Wonderful location, right across from Lake Michigan, could hear the waves and wind. The private beach had nice soft sand, and very clean. We barely saw anyone else out there. It had a nice kitchen and fridge so we were able to keep groceries for some meals, and also had fun going into town to eat out. The hosts were very kind and communicative!

Perfect Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! The neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet. We saw deer and other wildlife everyday, including a bald eagle! The beach access across the street is very secluded. We were the only people there most days. If you prefer the easier access of the public beach, it is fairly close to the house, and we noticed it was not overly crowded during our stay. Definitely check out downtown Manistee and the river walk. Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore and Arcadia Dunes are also both easy drives from this location. We enjoyed the fire pit out front while watching the sunset over the lake. We also loved drinking our coffee in the front sitting room each morning, enjoying the breeze from the lake with the windows open. The owners went above & beyond our expectations to make sure we had a comfortable and relaxing stay! We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot on Lakeshore Drive

We we were looking for a spot close to Manistee but not too far from Arcadia since we wanted to golf in both locations. Manistee has more to offer in the way of restaurants and shops so we liked being just a few minutes on the north side of town. Arcadia Bluffs was around 30 minutes tops. We loved the area and being able to not only see the water from the house but had a quick walk to many access points on the Lake Michigan Beach. Large open living area. We knew one bathroom for all of us would be challenging for all 4 of us but it was clean and bright. We enjoyed the fire-pit out back and loved that there were already beach chairs in the garage we were able to use. Meijer is 5-10 min away for any groceries you might need. Owner's communication was perfect. I know my son and DIL are already talking about returning there and I know my husband and I would in a heart beat.

The house is exactly what we needed. It has a wonderful lakeviews from the frontroom, dining table, and front room, The house was clean, well decorated (sea glass motif down to the exterior door glass :), with plentiful nice linens, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Location was excellent with easy beach access which we needed because one of us has a chronic disease that easily becomes fatigued. They enjoyed beach time which they haven't done in years. There were many unexpected items at the house which were useful such as the beach cart in the garage along with nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs and drink spikes, the firepit sticks, and books about seaglass. The front yard did not, at first, seem exceptional, but with the trees' shade, the view, the firepit, and Manistee's humane July temperatures it is a little piece of heaven. The beach is so, so beautiful and almost private. It is very clean, and has wonderful native plants growing on the beach. Most of our time at the house we did not use the air conditioning as the usual July temperatures in Manistee suggest keeping the windows open. That way we enjoyed the breezes, sound of the waves crashing, and the leaves rustling. However, there was one day when there was a heatwave, and we did close the windows and turned on the AC. The AC unit was not quite up to the job of keeping the bedrooms off the kitchen and main room. The pictures for the house accurately show that

Trevor and Laurie advertise their home honestly and everything was exactly as they described it. The firepit and lake views were lovely to enjoy, and they were very communicative.

We had a great week at the house! Close to many beaches and about an hour from Sleeping Bear Dunes. My daughter and niece loved waking up and going to search for beach glass. Would definitely stay again.

A quiet retreat

The home was very nicely decorated and furnished. We had everything that we needed. The hosts were helpful. The side porch was a perfect spot to enjoy nature, read a book and have a snack. Our only disappointment was that most of the Lake MI access nearby was closed due to the high lake levels. We had not realized that until after we booked. The beach in town was great. We would book this home again when the lake levels are lower. Thank you for a wonderful getaway.

Thank you for your review, we're glad you enjoyed the property and felt that we were responsive to your needs. Lake Michigan access points nearby are always changing depending not only on water levels but also wind direction, recent storms, etc. Beaches can be accessible one day and not the next. It's impossible to predict. This is why we're careful to say in our description that there is a "sunset viewing area" across the street. Sometimes the beach is accessible there but sometimes it is not. Families who have been lucky enough to find favorable conditions during their stay have called it their "secret beach", but we cannot guarantee that will be the case for anyone.

We had a great time staying here. Close walk to Lake Michigan. It was a convenient drive to Sleeping Bear National Sand Dune while being near a grocery and cute town of Manistee.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed and was really comfortable. The owners were extremely accommodating and kept in contact with whatever questions we had. Our favorite spot was a secret beach just across the street - we had a blast!

Lovely extended weekend!

We loved this property. Directly across the street from Lake Michigan. It was only a few minutes into Manistee and a short drive to many great hikes. The house itself was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.

Summer Vacation

We had a great time staying in Manistee for 2 weeks. The beach access was across the street. Most of the beach is washed away with high water levels. The was very cute and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Hopefully, we can return.

A great little place with a beautiful view!

My husband and I stayed here with our toddler. This was a perfect place for us to spend a few nights. It was impeccably clean on arrival and had everything we needed. The view from the front room is gorgeous, and we really enjoyed a bonfire in the fire pit. The kitchen is well appointed and the shower was nice and warm. The furniture was so comfortable, and the decor is really tasteful. Honestly, I we couldn’t really have asked for more. Would highly recommend this rental and look forward to staying again!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This property has a lake view without the beachfront price. Access to the lake is within a few hundred feet. Private neighborhood water access points-- you'll likely have your sunset view entirely to yourself! And yet, it's a 7 minute drive to town. It's the best of both worlds.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Manistee is a quiet beachfront town that goes unnoticed by many. The numerous public beaches are uncrowded and FREE. Charming Victorian downtown with a riverwalk and a drawbridge where you can watch yachts and freighters come in. Fireworks over Lake Michigan on the 4th of July, and a Victorian Christmas parade in the winter. Fish the many rivers/ lakes, ski Caberfae, or, better yet, stay put in your beachside home. Our cottage is unique in that it offers you access to a secluded stretch of Lake Michigan, without the lakefront price. The public beaches are nice, but a secluded beach across the street is even better!
