We have been coming to ME for over 30 years, always staying at oceanfront properties and this one ranks with the best. Sunrises, sunsets and the views are a real calming influence. This was a great retreat and enjoyable time to reconnect with family.
We loved our week stay in this beautiful Maine property. We've stayed in a different house on Sea Spray Drive before so knew going into our visit how special this location was, but 28 Sea Spray Drive was really perfect for us. The views from the main living area and deck are wonderful, peaceful, truly special. The location is like a hidden gem, on Hoyt Neck where the road in is flanked by beaches on the left and right side. We came with two little kids who loved bouncing back and forth between the two beaches each day. The house itself is quaint and tidy, with a huge renovated master suite that has deck access and a lovely view. Nice to have beach chairs and toys on site. We couldn't get the apps on the TV in the living room to connect to the internet, so we only had public television in the living room although we could get neflix, disney, etc in the main room. Might not be an issue for everyone, but with small kids who get up at 6:30 it would be nice to have access to more TV content in the living room (sharing for future renters). We will definitely be back and feel lucky to have found this spot!
We had an amazing week. The house is located on a beautiful, quiet street, and is on the most incredible property. My daughter loved scrambling over the rocks in the mornings, and the grown ups loved having a morning coffee watching for seals swimming by. The house itself is older but spotless and well maintained. Highly recommend.
This house has everything you need and the view from the living room takes your breathe away. We loved going to bed to the giant moon rising over the ocean and waking up to the sun rising! Our toddler spent many hours in the tide pools, my husband surfed, and I spent a lot of time sipping coffee and reading next to the spectacular view. Fresh seafood from Wolff Lobster, ice cream and strolling around Kennebunkport, and an afternoon in Portland were easy excursions!
The view is mesmerizing and in every way captures what "ocean view" in Maine means.
Our second year and as soon as we arrived and saw the view outside the living room windows, we shed all stress, worries, tension etc. that the past year had piled on us. We so enjoyed a wonderful week of views of the ocean, sunrises and sunsets, lobstermen going out to check their traps at 5:30 am. a terrific, howling thunder storm, pleasure and fishing boats close to the rocks, walks on the two nearby cove beaches, walks on the Point and lobster meals almost every day! It was a restful week in every way.
This property is perched on the edge of a rocky outcropping with a panoramic view of the ocean and coastline. If you do nothing but sit on the deck and gaze out at the water for an eintire week, you will not be sorry you came. On our first night there we watched the full buck moon pop over the ocean horizon and it was just beautiful. The master bedroom overlooks the deck and water and you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves hitting the rocks. Two spacious private sandy beaches are steps away. The house isn't super close to a lot of stores and services, but a 15 minute drive to Kennebunkport or Saco was a small sacrifice. The house is older but clean, comfortable and in good repair, and the owners were responsive to questions. I have stayed in a half dozen Maine beach rentals and this was, by far, the best.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekâs stay in Granite point. Every day we waited for the early morning lobster men to come check their traps, took long walks around the neighborhood and on the coves that are easily accessible to the house and spent many hours just enjoying the rocky Maine coast which is sitting right in your backyard. Miles was an extremely accessible host and provided answers to questions about food stores, restaurants, the house etc. We hope to return to this idlylic spot!
We've vacationed in the Granite Point area for the past 5 years and were happy to find this house for 2020. The location is terrific, the views can't be beat, and the house had the right amount of indoor first floor living space for our family of 4. The owner was responsive and easy to communicate with, which was important given the COVID situation this year. Highly recommend.
The owner was extremely quick to get back with me & wonderful to work with. The views were absolutely stunning & mesmerizing right out the back of the house. The dinner table had such a beautiful view of the water & rocks. There were 2 beaches fairly close to the house & we just walked there. It was fun to collect rocks on the beach. There was plenty of room for our family. This was a very relaxing place to be for the week. Lots of beautiful places to just drive around to look at. If anyone goes, you must go to Huotâs Restaurant for an incredible meal! Wonderful place to stay & would stay there again!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us. We appreciate it!
Originally from Wisconsin, our family has been vacationing in Maine since I was born. This is our family's home and we love to share the beauty of this region with others.
This is a very private peninsula off the coast and there are little to no rentals on the point. This makes for a very quite and we'll kept area devoid of an overabundance of summer renters and summer crowds. The beaches are as pristine as nature intended due to the lack of traffic they receive.
Since this area is very secluded, there is no public transportation available. World class restaurants and shopping are within a 10min drive, however, a car is best. Unless you like to bike, in which case there are quite a lot of bicyclists along the coast in the summer months.
