Great location, easy short walk to the beach. It was very private and good for our dog. However the house was very dated and not well maintained. There was a strong musty smell that aggravated my allergies. We would not stay here again due to this. I would rather pay more for something updated and more luxurious
We really enjoyed our stay at the North Forest Beach house. It was very clean, had all the amenities we needed for our stay. We loved relaxing in the morning la in the back room, very cozy. The walk and access to the beach is so easy. We hated to leave. Would stay here again the next time we are in Hilton Head.
The location of this property is fantastic. Short walk to a quiet part of the beach. We enjoyed sitting in the Carolina room and we were lucky enough to see deer walk through the yard. An older home but it had everything we needed.
Close proximity to beach. All appliances are new. We were the first to use the outdoor grill and the air fryer! The complimentary wagon was useful for our daily jaunts to the beach. Bring bug spray no getting around that. Inside was clean. Comfortable bed. Enjoyed
This house was perfect for a family of five with a dog. The house is very confortable, very well equipped for cooking, the back yard is just amazing with all those plants and trees, walking to the beach takes 3 minutes, and the neighbourghood is very quiet. We would definitly rent this house again if we come back to Hilton Head for a vacation.
Really enjoyed our stay. House is in an excellent location. Very easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Bike path is very close to the house and from there you can pretty much reach everything on the island by bike. We really enjoyed coffee in the morning in the back sunroom.
This house was very clean on arrival and has everything you need! Loved having the beach cart and when my husband broke one of our beach chairs, the house had an extra one for us to use. Loved how close it is to the beach and how quiet the neighborhood is. Easy booking and check in/check out process. Would love to book again!
Great location and access to the beach. Even during the busiest part of the summer, didnât have to fight for a spot on the beach. The property is tucked away and private. Could use a little updating but overall pretty good experience.
The house is tucked back into what seems like a little forest of its own, but was less than a 3 minute walk to the beach. It was so quiet, peaceful, and spacious. The house was very clean, and kitchen fully stocked with everything you need for making all kinds of meals. The host responded quickly, answering my random questions. We loved our time here, and will absolutely book again.
It was plenty large enough for us and a short walk to the beach.
The kitchen is too small for the number the people the house accommodates. The wall to the dining room should be taken out and make it one large room for both. We enjoyed the sunroom.
We were very happy with our rental in North Forest Beach. The property was exactly as described, and was reasonably close to the beach (~7 minute walk), with a beach-access path right across the street. The Carolina room was enjoyable and was where we spent a great deal of time when not at the beach. There's a great outdoor space as well, including a small fireplace.
We were also very happy with the management company, which was very responsive to every inquiry along the way from the time we rented through our entire stay.
Nice short walk to semi-private beach. Easy bike ride to Coligny. Very private setting. Enjoyed the fire box and water fountain on patio. Kitchen supplies need improving especially cookware. Landscaper/caretaker very nice and he cleaned up mess from storm the next day.
The home is exactly as pictured. The owner has the home completely stocked. It is centrally located with the Coligny Square about 1/2 mile away. The beach is 1 block away. It is an ideal layout for a pet. The entire yard is not fenced however. Overall, a very nice place. I would not hesitate recommending this home.
Great location. Bike to Coligny plaza. Short 5 minute walk to the beach. Responsive owner. Well supplied kitchen. Read instructions for TV channels and streaming access to avoid frustration. Clean interior. Outside furnishings needed cleaning - covered with leaves and pollen but maybe an unfair criticism given time of year but would be nice if at least cleaned on arrival.
Would definitely stay again.
There were 3 generations..86, 65 and 27 yrs old. The short walk to beach was easy. beach was not overly crowded. The house was clean and comfortable albeit a bit outdated. The Layout was nice. furniture and beds comfortable. carolina room was very pleasant and bright. The yard could use some landscape clean up. its a lovely yard but scruffy. neighborhood was nice and quiet. was wonderful to see the deer coming through yhe yard. lucky enough to see 2 babies and mom almost everyday! we would love to ho back again !!
The home was clean and close to the beach. It had a beach wagon along with chairs and beach toys we could use. It would be beneficial if the outdoor shower had a door so you could actually shower outside and then also a handle to keep the water on. You really need bug spray because the mosquitoes eat you as soon as you walk outside but that is because of all the tress which help keep the house cool. The enclosed porch in the back was nice to sit in and enjoy the many birds, lizards, and deer that came through. It was close enough to the stores that we could ride our bikes for ice cream or food. Thank you for allowing us to use your home for a great family vacation at the beach.
Granted that we booked this property only two months out, the result was okay. It's certainly not luxury; more like visiting your grandparents. The musty smell of wall-to-wall carpeting in the living room and bedrooms hits you in the gob right away. (Who decides to install that in what is essentially a beach house?) The mismatched pots and pans only add to the 1970s flavor. (Who needs a sheet pan to make biscuits in the South? Apparently not the owners.)Overall, the location was the catch here. Ten minute walk and you've got your toes in the Atlantic (watch out for the jelly fish). And welcoming the doggies, who did get to (almost) meet the deer and opossum in the back yard (and some kind of big cat the morning we left ). The neighbors were quiet for the tail end of spring break, and it's Hilton Head Island (bring your wallet).Still trying to find the (non-existent) hot tub from the listing...
We all enjoyed the location and the home. It was very well equipped - more like being at home. There was a nice private yard and we had a dear visiting almost every day!
The beach was not far away and so lovely! Almost seemed kind of private. Not very busy and that wonderful HHI even sand was good for walking, biking, suntanning and dolphin watching. Also very nice people. We had a wee cavichon doggy with us and he made friends with many people and several other dogs.
Beds were comfotable and clean as were bathrooms. Not sure there were guests the week before us as the air seemed a bit stale but we opened the windows and settled in very nicely. Lots of books there, many sitting areas inside and out, a good bbq and time for puzzles, etc.
we are very happy to recommend.
North Forest Beach is still one of the best and most sought after communities even for rentals because it it not a commercial area. It is a quiet forested area with dead-end streets right next to the ocean, but has quick access to town if you are heading out for fun. Expect deer, racoons, possums, birds as part of your forest/beach experience.
đOur beach is accessible by walking or bike only for residents, there is no public parking allowed. Being in a quiet cul-de-sac and no stairs this ground floor house is convenient for the 45+ crowd and the infirm. There are very few pet friendly homes by the beach that are on the ground level. Don't miss this one!
