Great unit at beautiful resort! My only gripe is that a nearly 36 hour power outage (no A/C, no internet for work, no available food service, no ability to use in-unit appliances, etc.) resulted in the host ridiculously offering to refund me for 1/3 of the cost of one night. Not sure how he came up with that math! I’ve requested a charge-back for 2 nights from Citi Visa, my credit card provider. We’ll see, but I think I have Hawaii law on my side in terms of what the provider of lodging is required to provide.

Thank you for recognizing our unit and the beautiful Honua Kai Resort. We understand that the hurricane-related power outage was inconvenient. However, the outage lasted a little over 24 hours and affected the surrounding area and resort, not just our condominium. It was caused by the hurricane and was outside our control. The guest remained in and occupied the condominium for the entire 10-night reservation, despite the temporary outage. Our rental agreement addresses hurricane-related events when the unit remains available for occupancy. Nevertheless, we offered a goodwill refund to acknowledge the inconvenience, which the guest declined. The guest is now disputing $850—approximately 20% of the total $4,250.74 paid for the 10-night stay. That total includes the nightly rental charges, cleaning, resort fees, and other fees and taxes. The disputed amount represents a substantial portion of the entire booking, even though the guest occupied the unit for the full stay. We take great pride in providing a quality vacation experience, reflected in our 9.8 guest rating and the overwhelmingly positive feedback we receive. While we regret that this guest experienced a disruption due to the hurricane, temporary area-wide power outages are beyond a host's control. We remain committed to providing well-maintained accommodations and responsive service to our guests.

This unit is beautiful and well appointed. The resort itself is gorgeous on an amazing stretch of beach with snorkeling close by. The Mountain Views from the unit were beautiful as well. The host is very responsive and addressed some very minor issues right away. Our family enjoyed the resort and the service provided by all staff. Having the restaurant on-site was also nice and convenient. Sunset views were special and we alternated between the beach and the pool throughout the day. For the money (especially in prime season) this unit was well worth what we paid and we would stay here again and possibly for a longer stretch next time! Would recommend this resort and this unit.

Great location

This property was beautiful! The condo was spacious, clean, and had such a great location. It came with so many more "Pool toys" and gear than expected. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Location on the Beach

This condo faced the mountains so you can sit on the balcony to watch the sunrise. The condo was spacious and has all the amenities needed to spend the day on the beach instead of the pool. Would definitely stay here again.

well appointed, clean and comfortable for family with children. love that there are boogie boards, sand toys in the closet for kids to use. This location has great pools and has the convenience of the grocery store, various stores nearby.

Great location

Beautiful property. Great pools for parents who just want to relax while the kids frolic. Fantastic beaches with all the sand you could want and amazing snorkeling opportunities right there. You could just stay put and have an amazing Hawaiian vacation. We will be back.

Overall would recommend if you don’t want to use the lanai

Overall the condo was great and the resort was fantastic! We loved the pools, the beach and the onsite restaurant. The only downside was that yhe lanai was unusable due to the high winds and loud parking lot noise.

Everything was perfect! The condo was comfortable, clean, and well equipped with everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. The resort and its location were absolutely amazing. Nice property

Good location and nice property to stay at. Only thing that could have been better was the dryer. We did not contact the property manager regarding this, but, the dryer didn’t really work well.

Great condo

We had the best vacation. The unit was incredibly clean and spacious. It fit our family of 4 perfectly. Watching the sunrise from the lanai each morning was such a wonderful way to start our day and the resort had everything we needed. The location is great, the staff are wonderful, and the property manager was incredibly proactive and so easy to work with. Book this condo! You will love it!

Amazing Vacation

The property grounds are beautiful, family friendly, clean and very accessible. The condo was beautiful. It has all the amenities; fully stocked kitchen, bathrooms were large and functional, the bedrooms had ample room, and the living space was a great place for all of us to get together and relax. The property manager was responsive and easy to communicate with. We received an email with very detailed instructions on how to access the room.We would highly recommended staying here.

Great condo, poor lighting

Great place for family. We cooked a lot for dinner and had to buy some tongs as the ones in the condo were huge. We also left some beach towels. My only complaint is the lighting throughout the condo. If it is overcast or dark it is hard to see things in the kitchen . The bathroom lighting could be brighter. Enjoyed our stay, will get a condo overlooking the ocean next time

Excellent condo & management

We throughly enjoyed our stay in this 2 bedroom condo in the Honua Kai resort. We have previously rented many condos but none were as clean at this one was upon our arrival. Communication with the host, Fereshteh was excellent. We had one small issue that was resolved quickly. Some of the small details included: shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in each shower; dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, garbage bags,use of 4 beach chairs, beach umbrella, pool noodles and cooler. The beach towel kiosks were easy to use. The free underground parking was appreciated and we had no trouble finding spots. The grounds and pools of the Honua Kai resort are beautiful and well cared for. The beach walk boardwalk made for a nice morning walk/run. I would absolutely recommend renting this unit.
