What a gem! Lisa’s house offers every comfort of home and it is very clean. Our group of 4 adults, 2 teens, and 2 kids settled in immediately and felt super comfortable. The outside pool area and grill were also very well maintained! The beach is about a 10 min walk, which is easy on your own, but a bit of a schlep with all the family beach things. But this house is honestly worth it. We will be back. Thank you, Lisa, for a wonderful stay!

The perfect property for families!

We had the most memorable Thanksgiving stay at this property last year! The home is spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. We loved the proximity to the beach and grocery stores. We cannot think of a better location or home to share with family and friends for any occasion. We would stay here again!

Such an awesome stay at this house. The backyard was so much fun with the pool and hot tub. House was very clean, located in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. The host was very responsive/helpful during our stay. Only a short walk to the beach along a nice trex deck trail. Don’t hesitate to book this home, you will love it.

Family Vacation

The house is so comfortable and clean that we preferred to stay in nearly every night versus going out for food or entertainment. The walk to the beach is just about 10 minutes and the entire property is very well-maintained. Communication was top notch.

The Perfect Beach House

This house is beautifully appointed, inside and out. Weather didn’t cooperate during our stay but the heated pool and hot tub saved the day. The location was convenient to the beach and Corolla’s attractions. Most importantly, host Lisa was very responsive to any questions and we truly felt like honored guests — not just anonymous weekly renters.

Beautiful beach house!

This house is a gem. It has pretty much anything you could want in a beach home and is exactly as pictured here on VRBO. Lisa is very communicative and made checking in and out very easy. We didn't want to leave...

The house was amazing! Everyone loved the pool and especially the hot tub. The rooms were spacious, the social areas were so cozy and well lit. A few of us sat outside on the top floor patio and watched shooting stars. The short walk to the beach was very convenient. We will definitely be back.

Mid July Stay

The house perfect for two family with five young children 6-2 years old. We enjoyed the pool and the beach daily. Plenty of space for all us to spread out or snuggle up on the downstairs or upstairs levels. Kitchen was fully stocked, we cooked or grilled most meals at the house for the week. Lisa was very great at communicating, check in and check out were easy and seamless.

Wonderful, Well-Appointed, and Great Location!

We absolutely loved our stay at Marine Life OBX! We were a group of 7 (2 families) and the space and accommodations were perfect for us. Very spacious, clean, and well-equipped home with all of the great vacation amenities - pool, hot tub, beach gear, tiki bar, great back yard for cornhole (rented), downstairs fridge, etc! Beach access is a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive to public parking. Lisa was very responsive and welcoming and provided a wealth of information about the area. We would definitely book this wonderful home in the future. Thank you!!

Sophistication Perfection

The house was well decorated and tastefully appointed throughout. It is very nice home and everything was new and the photos are as advertised. Our family of five enjoyed everyone having a separate bedroom and bathroom with a large dining space for family dinners. There are many balconies and outdoor spaces to relax, not to mention the hot tub, pool, and tiki hut. We enjoyed the beach a short walk away and the stores and dining options nearby in Corolla. Lisa was a tremendous host answering questions and providing recommendations. It was a week that we enjoyed and would recommend to all.

Heated Pool & Hot Tub, FOR THE WIN!!!

Great quiet neighborhood, located near anything you could need. We encountered a cold snap for our stay, so beach time was sparse - but, our water play was plentiful thanks to the heated pool and hot tub! My son made it a point to be in the pool every day of our trip - loved it, and his first time in a hot tub! Pool and backyard was mostly private (neighbor on one side has visibility from their deck)...but very enjoyable and relaxing, to the point that we had to force ourselves to leave the property. We left the property for some half-day trips/activities, but the group was always happy to arrive back to the comfortable confines of the house!

Weekend Getaway with friends

Last minute decision to rent a house for the weekend. We absolutely loved the house. Everything was clean and as shown in the pictures. While there we needed assistance with the hot tub, in less than 5 minutes they were there and assisted us. The heated pool was a nice addition as well. The area is quiet yet close to whatever you might want to do in Corolla. The communication with the owners is pretty much easy, getting into the home as well. We most certainly will consider and recommend this home and any others the owners of this home might have.

Hi and welcome! We are Shawn and Lisa. Our first rental we named- Marine Life OBX as we are a Marine Corps family, Shawn recently retired, Master Gunnery Sergeant. Our 2nd vacation rental coming soon (Sail Away OBX). We recently moved to Corolla where Lisa co-hosts other local vacation rentals. Make sure to check out the newest, Terrapin Point (2 BR/2Bath/Sleeps 6), McDoob (6BR/4.5Bath/Sleeps 17), and Bubba's Wattering Hole in Kitty Hawk, NC (5BR/Sleeps 10).

Shawn and I married on the beach in Corolla and it is our happy place and where we now reside with our two youngest daughters. We hope you enjoy Corolla as much as we do. Enjoy your vacation!~!

Quiet neighborhood with many full time residents. Semi private home with a lot of trees. Within 2 miles to grocery stores, dining, shopping, bars, the Currituck Lighthouse, Whalehead Club, Museums, Wild Horse Tours, and less than 3 miles to the 4x4 beach and golf at the Currituck Club. Access to the Currituck Sound for fishing, crabbing, swimming, sunsets over the sound or launching small craft. Access to tennis courts, playground, fitness center, basketball court, biking, walking trails, and community pool in season. Reservations may be necessary for amenities.

Located in the OBX, Northern most section of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, this beach rental is located in Corolla the most beautiful section of the Outer Banks, quiet, large beaches, safe and fun family atmosphere, bike or walk, enjoy both sunrise of the ocean and sunset over the sound.
