The Hideout was a very quaint, quiet and lovely place to stay. It had all of the necessities and convenient access for what we were there for. Weâll be back!
The property was well manicured and the cabin very clean. The bed is comfortable and the towels were soft. Had a very pleasant stay and the owners were very responsive and considerate. I would definitely stay here againđ
The place was clean and perfect for the my husband and me to enjoy exploring the Black Hills! Dawn and Tim, the owners were amazingly helpful and so friendly. It was a special treat to see a deer eating clover right outside the door! We would definitely stay here again!
Loved the authentic western decor. Just the right size accomodation for us and the right place to branch out and explore the area. This king size bed was by far the most comfortable we have had on our rentals. Loved the old door as the headboard. All in all would stay again if we are back in the Deadwood area.
My cousin and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hideout. It was charming, clean and at a beautiful location. The owner/manager was extremely helpful and gladly helped us out when we had any questions. If I ever get back to the Black Hills, this is where I'll lay my head. My neighbor is expecting to be there in the fall and has this on her preferred place to stay, dates allowing.
Great place! Everything you need! Super comfy bed and sheets!
Loved this cute little place! Bed and sheets were awesome! Close to trails! We enjoyed our stay here! Only thing that wouldâve made it perfect was a hot tub to relax in after riding
Mad Peak is a nice and clean little one bedroom apartment with all of the comforts of home. We highly recommend this property. It is close to both Deadwood and Sturgis.
This is our second time at the Hideaway and would be back again! Its a cute and cozy place to stay and love having the owners dogs and cat come out and visit us while we were there.
Great location with all the amenities. Our stay at The Hideout was fantastic, from the awesome decor, comfy bed, and trail access, to the communcation from the hosts. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again if we are in the area.
Overall experience was great. We were looking for a quiet weekend getaway and this was the perfect place. Cabin was very nice and had everything we needed. Definitely plan on returning.
Close to trail for ATV riding, great views. Really cool old stove (Decorative), lots of fun decorations. Full kitchen, comfortable bed. Definitely would stay here again!!
Loved this property! Beautiful ride through the mountains. Property is right in the middle of everything you could want to visit. Large private and peaceful & the owners/hosts are friendly and hands on. Love their doggies!
Nice place! Was worried that we would hear the highway or campground next door when we first arrived but couldnât hear either one once we were in. Was very clean and a good spot to rest after full day of seeing the sites. We would stay here again and would recommend it!
Stayed for a few days in February to snowmobile. The Hideout exceeded our expectations and owners were great! Great location close to both Deadwood and Lead. Property was super cute and clean. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for your hospitality!
Amazing stay at Mad Peak! We have stayed at The Depot and now the Hideout. Both are truly amazing! Owners are great to work with. 2020 has brought many stresses to all. This is where you go when you need to reset and connect. Has the feel of home with awesome decor. Beautiful stay, once againâ„ïž
We have been in the Black Hills since Wild Bill showed up in Deadwood....Well, not quite, but we have been here a long time and really enjoy sharing this area with our quests.
Come enjoy The Hideout with direct access to state highway 385. This unit is centrally located between most of the Black Hills main attractions; not far from Spearfish and Sturgis, located just south of Deadwood/Lead and north of Mt. Rushmore, Custer, and Hill City. The Hideout can accommodate two vehicles in the designated parking spots, and has a large parking area for large vehicles and trailers at the other end of the property.
There are so many things to do and outdoor activities in the area that itâs hard to know where to start. From hiking, golfing, and visiting Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse, to snow adventures and off-roading on the thousands of miles of trails, to water play and fishing, picnicking and exploring waterfalls, gaming and live shows, wine tasting and dining, the list goes on and on.
