À propos de cet hébergement

Cette cabine est à quelques pas de notre plage privée sur le lac Colby et a son propre foyer extérieur. Les locataires peuvent utiliser l’un de nos six bateaux: un bateau à rames, 2 kayaks et canoës de taille normale et un kayak de taille enfant. Le lac Colby est connu pour son excellente pêche. Le lac Colby fait partie de la grande communauté du lac Saranac, qui offre de nombreuses attractions touristiques, notamment la randonnée, le ski sur neige, les tyroliennes, le golf et une cuisine délicieuse. Cette cabine est également à deux minutes à pied de la plage publique et de la rampe de mise à l'eau.
La cabine se trouve à 5 minutes en voiture du mont Pisgah, où amis et famille peuvent pratiquer le ski alpin et le snowboard.

Faites-nous savoir si vous souhaitez réserver plus d'une cabine. Nous avons 3 autres cabines: Bear (2 lits, 1 bain), Fish (un lit, un bain) et Loon (un lit, un bain) disponibles pour un grand groupe. Les 4 cabines pourraient accueillir 20 personnes.

Le village de Saranac Lake abrite de superbes restaurants, pubs et cafés. Colby Cabins est à environ 1 mile du mont. Pisgah, où toute la famille peut pratiquer le ski alpin, le tubing et le snowboard. Le lac Saranac est entouré de sentiers de randonnée parmi les plus pittoresques de la côte est. Le lac Colby est réputé pour la qualité de sa pêche: truite arc-en-ciel et marron, saumon, achigan à grande bouche et à petite bouche. Des moteurs de 10 CV maximum peuvent être utilisés sur ce lac.

Gathering of Friends

We had a great time staying here. The property was beautiful and close to town. Well kept, clean, and provided all the necessities one would expect. Huda and Ethan provided an easy check in, along with updating us on road/parking conditions prior to our arrival. We will definitely be back again.

A lovely getaway by the lake

Lake Colby is in a great location, and central to all of the adventures we wanted to do. The Fish cabin had everything we needed and the kitchen was adequately stocked with the basics. Although this cabin was not directly on the water, we still were able to enjoy the waterfront and launch our SUP boards each day. Our dog loved swimming in the lake and watching red squirrels from the screened in porch. The discovery of the newly opened rail trail already has us planning a return trip to stay at one of the cabins directly on the water. Thanks for the great stay!

Saranac lake winter carnival fun!

This is a beautiful lakeside (lake Colby) cabin. Even though the temperatures were below zero the cabin stayed toasty warm. We loved visiting the ice castle and carnival events in Saranac Lake ,5 minutes drive. Also fantastic restaurants in Saranac. Drove over to Lake Placid ,25 min and snowshoed at Heaven Hills with the dog. Our favorite was xc skiing at the VIC at Paul Smiths. This cabin was a perfect location to easily visit all the winter fun in the area. It was so clean, the kitchen is well equipped and the bed comfortable. We loved it! Thanks we hope to come back in the summer or fall.

Enjoyable Stay in the ADKs

Compact, well equipped, cozy cabin situated very close to Saranac Lake. Great communication with the host prior and during the stay. Only a few things to be aware of - cabin is not on the water (which is disclosed in the description) but what is not explained is you have to walk through other guests' property to access the dock and the available water craft. Felt like an intrusion. Also, the photos of the sun streaming through the windows are a mystery. The cabin is completely surrounded by trees - we had to put lights on during the day. But otherwise, this is a lovely place.

Beautiful little cabin

Very cozy, very cute. This cabin has a screened-in porch, which was very nice, but the downside is it doesn't have a seating area directly by the water (which the other three cabins at this address do). No matter, we had a wonderful time and it was an absolutely beautiful site.

Hoda was a great host. Easy to communicate with before, during and after our stay. The cabin was clean and felt welcoming. Fish cabin was an idyllic Adirondack get-a-way.

Great and fun

This is a nice place! It is a bit old and a a bit short, has its own quirks. The place is wonderful though, close to the water and quick to town. It got very cold while we were there (-20 F) and the heater was mostly able to keep up. It was very clean and well taken care of. Stay here if you’re looking for fun

Nice place. Could have been a little cleaner. Wood chips in the porch upon arrival and gave us only a few pieces of wood when the other cabins got a bundle and we where ther for 4 nights

Beautiful cabin

We liked our stay very much. Everything worked very well, the cabin was super clean and well stocked. We were able to use the kayaks no problem and the swimming beach is very close. The street that it’s on is quiet and we all slept great at night. My only feedback would be that the photo for Fish Cabin showed a very beautifully lit and sunny space. Fish Cabin is extremely dark, gets no direct sunlight. We had the lights on every day inside. But other than that it was a really pleasant lovely stay.

Quiet, beautifully decorated cabins on Lake Colby

We stayed two nights at Fish cabin, which is well maintained, comfortable and decorated just like the photos. It was super neat and clean with lovely Adirondack furniture. We realized when we pulled in that we had stayed at the Moose cabin 15+ years ago when our children were small. It too is an absolutely beautiful cabin. We plan to come back with extended family. We highly recommend staying at these cabins if you are in the Saranac Lake area. Huda is a very responsive and accommodating host.

This was a perfect escape for us. We came to hike some of the 46 high peaks & the location was perfect! Colby lake is a perfect spot, the cabin was cozy & clean & perfect for us . We’d love to come back

Wonderful Weekend Getaway!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderfully quiet and relaxing weekend at the cabin. Communication with the owner was simply flawless. Cabin was clean, well-appointed and in a great location. Easy drive to Lake Placid and eateries. Very toasty even during frigid nights and the shower and hot water are fantastic! Thank you!

My husband and I live in the Hudson Valley, but our favorite place to relax and recreate is the Adirondacks. Our caretaker is up the road and you will be provided his cell number. We are also a phone call or text away.

During COVID-19 our staff are taking extra precautions to disinfect surfaces. We have Covid Checkout guidelines posted in each cabin.

We provide fresh towels and linens and in the summer months, beach towels and life jackets for guests. In warm weather months, guests can choose from two row boats, two canoes and 3 kayaks which are kept at our private beach.

This cabin is a two minute walk to the public beach and a one minute drive to the public boat launch. We do not allow check-in or check-out on Saturdays from the third week of June to the first week of September.
Let us know if you wish to book more than one cabin. We have 3 other cabins: Bear (2 bed one bath), Fish (one bed, one bath) and Loon (one bed, one bath) available for one large group to enjoy. All 4 cabins would sleep 18 people.

We do not allow check-in or check-out on Saturdays from the third week of June to the first week of September.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

These cabins are on a beautiful lake where one can enjoy swimming or use of any of our 7 boats. A short drive away are excellent golf courses, some of the best hiking on the East Coast and great down hill skiing and snow boarding. Our cabins are insulated and heated year round and renters will enjoy the serenity of Lake Colby and the wonderful village of Saranac Lake any month of the year.

These cabins are decorated to match the historical styles of the Adirondacks, but provide the comforts of you own home: AC, WIFI and Smart TV's. Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee on the deck watching the sunrise on Lake Colby or watch the sunset with a bear at the fire pit on the lake.
