We had a great time staying at the cabin. It was very clean. We enjoyed relaxing on the back porch. It has a great view and a hummingbird feeder that allowed us to see several varieties of hummers. The beds were comfy after hiking. The cabin is off the main road so you get the Greer experience but in a more peaceful setting.
The cabin is located on a quite road allowing you to sit outside and enjoy nature as you watch deer come though the front yard in the morning.
The property owners where available to assist any questions we had.
This was our first time in Greer. Parents stayed on Main St. but we liked the East Fork area a lot better. Quiet, less traffic, great road for walking and just down the road from a nature trail and access to the creek. The cabin has everything you need for making meals, comfortable beds with extra blankets, etc. The porch here is great for hanging out and relaxing. We would definitely pick this cabin and this area for a future stay.
We stayed here for 12 days. It's a great location with fabulous views and close to many trails, and not in the center of Greer. The inside feels like you stepped back into the 70s. But the kitchen was well stocked and everything functioned well. There is a new gas grill on the porch. The porch is one of the best features as it is the perfect place to relax with a book or watch the wildlife and rain. The cabin is very dark inside and could use a coat of paint (especially the ceilings) and some updating. Satellite tv worked great and wifi was ok, but spotty. I imagine it's not much better anywhere in the area. We were very comfortable in the cabin and plan on returning next year for at least 2 weeks. Our 2 dogs were in heaven in the cool weather and so many streams nearby. Harriet the manager was wonderful and always available if needed. We enjoyed our conversations with her and found her to be very friendly and helpful. One suggestion is to have a table on the porch so you can eat outside. Also new chairs would be nice. We definitely will be back next year!
Everything about the cabin was as expected, no disappointment. Peaceful location with a nice view of the area. Management was very accommodating and responsive.
The cabin was clean, quiet with nice views. The electrical outlets need to be replaced, as many of them would not hold plugs. We did encounter many spiders and some ants in the bedroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay and found it very relaxing and loved the back porch.
We loved the area around Greer - had fun, saw deer, sat on the porch and enjoyed and thunderstorm, fished, horseback riding, Sunrise Mountain was fun...had a great time and look forward to coming back.
This is a clean, no-nonsense cabin in a great location. All the amenities but no AC. Property owner was responsive to our needs and very accommodating. We hope to stay here again. Perfect spot for walking, close to the town and stream with lots of wildlife viewing with deer and elk aplenty.
Cabin off forest road, much quieter than Main St. Affordable cabin but needs TLC. Door locks could use replacing, very dark inside cabin, needs outdoor patio furniture to maximize use. But overall, it works.
The cabin works well for our family - 2 adults & our dog. Kitchen is very well equipped, porches are great for morning coffee & evening sunsets. Wi-Fi can be spotty, but hey itâs the mountains. The owner Shelly is on site, friendly & responsive to issues. Weâll be back.
My family and I love this cabin. It is close to the water for the little ones to play in and as a special treat we were in the right place and time that the fish hatchery let the kids help release fish into the river! The beautiful pines and aspens, the wonderful temperatures, and this clean, comfy cabin have brought us back two years in a row. We will most likely do it again next year too!
We had such a great time staying in our cabin. The property manager Sherry is such a delightful person. The cabin was clean and very well stocked. We will definatly stay here again.
The location of this wonderful cabin is perfectly placed. It's of the beaten path, perfectly quiet, clean and cozy!. Management was wonderful all around. The cleanliness of the cabin was perfection (and I'm a super clean freak)!. Walking distance to stream fishing and deer watching!!. Will absolutely return for another break from the record breaking heat of the valley..
This is our 2nd time renting from owner and we love it! Tried East Fork cabin #2 this time and it was perfect! Short walk to the river and great trails and a short drive to the lake for some fishing! Already canât wait to get back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A late summer storm caused a power outage. The property management made sure we had drinking water, water to flush the toilet, and a lantern. We will recommend this property to friends and family.
The rental property was as expected but the advertised price was not accurate. The $37 extra a night should have been explained up front. I think the all in price should be listed and known before the agreement is made.
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin and would rent again

My grandparents, Clare and Bill Schnaufer were true Arizonans. They were both born in Tucson in the 1920s. Grandpa Bill survived WWII and the Battle of the Bulge and after the war he and Grandma Clare discovered Greer. They developed a love for Greer, the area, and this beautiful location, and shared it with our family. They found the location they loved by the East Fork of the Little Colorado River amount the pines and aspen trees. We unfortunately lost our cabin to the Wallow Fire in 2011. Luckily nothing else on our property was touched! Even the old pine tree with tree swing is still there to enjoy! all the beauty that surrounded us has remained. Our new family cabin was built soon after. It is a modern cabin which still has that cozy cabin feel.
They built the rental cabins and enjoyed the relationships with their guests that developed. Many still return every year to spend their family vacations here. We know that you too will develop the same love for East Fork cabins and this special spot by the river. We have 4 rentals at East Fork Cabins listed on VRBO. Cabin 1 - 2 BR, 1BA sleeps 6 VRBO 1615504 Cabin 2 - 2 BR, 1BA sleeps 6 VRBO 1615476 Cabin 3 - 4 BR, 2BA sleeps 8 VRBO 1615495 The Lodge 5BR, 4BA sleeps 10 VRBO 1614983
This special location is a short walk to the Greer Village. It's very close to good fishing spots on the East Fork of the Little Colorado. You'll enjoy the views, the grounds, the wildlife and birds and of course the kids will love the old tree swing. Come make your own memories with us at East Fork Cabins.
