Easy access to Schweitzer and to Sandpoint. The kitchen is really well stocked (including a milk frother) but no coffee provided and a twenty minute drive to buy some. The loft provided sleeping for one but was fry your brain hot and the futon was pretty awful. The rest of the bedrooms were fine. Access is via a really tight circular staircase so this rental is a no go for folks with mobility issues. The hot tub is marvelous with amazing views. There was nowhere to put trash and itâs bear country so we had to just leave it inside when we leftâŠ.. we felt badly about that. Would definitely rent this half of a twin home again.
Home away from home! Cute, Cozy & Comfortable. Just a 4 minute drive to the mountains upper parking lot but quiet & secluded.
Highly recommend staying here.
This is a great cozy place with lots of nice space and views. Offered some constructive feedback to make our stay and stays of others more comfortable.
The location is excellent for a ski trip getaway, and the cabin has everything you need for a mountain stay. Views of sunrise off the deck and through the trees really makes this place special. We'll come back for sure!
I wasn't ready to leave when our trip came to an end! The view was captivating, the surroundings quiet and beautiful, and the house well appointed for all our needs. Thank you!!
My mom and two sisters stayed here for Motherâs Day weekend. The resort was quiet which was nice. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
Overall the stay was enjoyable but rather expensive for 2 nights. Hot tub was nice but was not usable first night due to refilling. Plowing is not the best, but there was a lot of snow. It would have been a long walk to the lifts, really need to drive. Didn't notice any busses running locally. Picture appears to be by itself but it is packed in with other places. Bonus - it now has WiFi and a TV.
Perfect ski get away. Clean and comfortable, would definitely stay here again. Everything about the house was great, really enjoyed the Christmas tree in the living room! Hope to make it back when the mountain has more snow.
My family had a wonderful time staying at this home. The house was clean and comfortable. We would definitely come back. The views from the area are gorgeous!
We enjoyed a quick getaway to the mountains at this home. Listing was as advertised and well maintained. Important to note that the bedrooms are all downstairs so pack in small suitcases to make carrying down the cute spiral staircase easier. We would definitely stay here again!
This home is beautiful with gorgeous decor, plenty of room, amazing views from the deck, and a pleasant 15 minute hike to the Village in the fall. We had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed our stay. We most certainly will be coming back.
Stayed at this wonderful property during our recent ski trip to Schweitzer. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The home was clean and the beds very comfortable. The radiant heat in the floors was wonderful, and the views out the windows was breath taking, took you to another world away. Not to mention the two minute drive to the ski parking area was such a treat.
All in all we had a great time and hope to return. Treat yourself, come stay and enjoy!
We loved everything about this cabin. It was very well appointed and had everything you could hope for in a high end cabin. Wifi worked perfectly. The Hot Tub right off the primary bedroom was awesome. The main room is amazing. Great views from the large attached deck and comfort of the fireplace the is the centerpiece. Short walk into the village and easy drive back down the mountain for everything Sandpoint has to offer. We will definitely be back.
This house was perfect. Very spacious and well decorated main living area with gas fire place, and huge windows to take in the breathtaking views. The house was super close to the ski hill. 2 minute drive or free quick and easy neighborhood shuttle. We had 3 couples and the house was plenty spacious for the 6 of us. Internet was fast and reliable. We will definitely stay at this property again.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
A veiled description; but nice place
Unkempt outside. And It is a duplex, a fact not adequately disclosed in the veiled marketing lure of online reading and viewing.
No one present on the other half during our stay, but the impression in the description and inside pictures are clearly intended to leave one thinking the snowplow home is one whole cabin; not a duplex.
The house is beautiful. Very comfortable. Plenty of room for our family of 5. This house is way up on the mountain but worth the drive. We had a run in with a mama bear and 2 cubs. The bin that holds garbage was plum full when we got there so maybe it wasnât closed all the way. She found it! Aside from having to pick up garbage it was an amazing experience!
This home is one side of a duplex. It is close to the end of a quite road. During the winter (when we were there), you'll definitely want/need a 4WD vehicle as this section seems to be the last area to be plowed. Parking can be a bit tough if the plow hasnt come through , but otherwise it's a great, quite location. We used the complimentary shuttle service every day and left our car parked. It was great.
The house is really nice and very well thought out. It has a closed entrance to keep skis and then a big mud room for gear before you enter. Kitchen and living room area are beautiful. Deck with grill is fantastic. 3 nice bedrooms downstairs and a loft. The photos accurately reflect the house. My kids and I had an absolutely wonderful time and would stay here again for sure.
Functional but not great, with lacking management and unfriendly, frustrating support.
Hot tub didnât work, even though itâs in the listing name and we paid luxury prices just to have it.Worse than that was how we were treated by support when we raised the complaint. We expected reasonable acknowledgement, but instead we received barely any acknowledgement along with an insultingly small discount - for something that was a major issue for us. Worse, when we protested it, they dropped the discount by nearly half in apparent retaliation. We were afraid to seek any more support for fear of getting docked further, even though there were other issues including remotes that donât work and fireplace that we couldnât turn on. We tried to contact management directly to have a conversation but they forced us to only talk to a chat interface, no phone allowed.Vacasa is a business so itâs probably related to that, but I wouldnât expect much hospitality beyond a working bed.
Stayed a couple of nights with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. Property was as described. The only issue was a couple of the toilets had not been properly cleaned; not bad, but noticeable. I would note that the property does not have A/C (which we knew going in) and the inside temperature was 83 degrees when we arrived on 4 pm. Since the property has few windows to open, and no screens on the doors, it was nearly impossible to cool the main level (never got below 80 degrees). The downstairs bedrooms were much cooler, but who wants to hang out in the bedroom. I would definitely stay at this property again, just not in July. I think if the owner invested in a whole house exhaust fan, the property would be perfect without A/C.
The other reviews are pretty accurate. The living room kitchen space is really nice and comfortable for a good size group and the rooms are also really nice. All of the amenities were as good as I had hoped for. The spiral staircase is not the greatest but it also was not a surprise (and honestly probably helps keep the rate lower on this house).
My biggest gripe was that I could not get concrete information on the shuttle situation at Schweitzer from the property management. There were mentions of a shuttle in some reviews but very little specifics, so here is the deal (and this applies to all of the houses in the area).
There is an HOA shuttle that you can call to pick you up and drop you off at the base of the mountain (and bring you back). This is SUPER convenient, there was a number on the fridge that we fortunately noticed. The downside is that the shuttle only runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For the rest of the days you can drive or walk to the slopes.
This is also important (and many will roll their eyes thinking this is obvious) but make sure to rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle during ski season. The roads to the houses are steep and while they are plowed daily they can still be quite slick (We rented a Van to have one vehicle and it was not 4WD - big mistake). If you wind up walking to the base it takes about 25min (it was not that bad).
Great stay Car info would have made it better
