Everything was good except for no AC. The walls are very thin. I could hear my TV in the hallway outside with the door closed. Also, the garage has a 7' tall door and is fairly shallow, so be cautious if you're driving a pickup. There's really nowhere on the property to park if your rig is too tall or long. Still a great and economical place to stay though!
Even though it was not the best weekend to stay up there with the weather, we still enjoyed our time and was a great little place to stay. Very close to the village, so easy to walk to go to the restaurants etc.
We loved that you got a cover parking garage, walking distance to chair lift. Loved the view. So comfortable and relaxing. Amazing restaurants all walking distance. Highly recommend, and not to mention the great price!
Perfect size for three people. Walking distance to the ski hill and a very nice parking garage. I highly recommend for the price. We will be back for sure.
This property is an easy walk from the lodge and lifts. The bed is a cheep inner spring. The suport was fine but the springs poke you. It needs a topper. Pillows are nice, there was a stain on one of the pillow cases. As you can tell in the picture the place is dated. It did have led tv's. We never turned them on. The heated parking garage is nice. But it does have low clearance. If its snowed alot the car should be under 6 ft due to the drip ledge and snow build up. The gatage door is about 7ft tall.
This was a perfect little place for two, walking distance from Schweitzer village and the lifts, a a much better price than you can get from the Schweitzer owned lodging. We had originally booked three nights at Schweitzer owned lodging for January, but when our beloved dog was suddenly diagnosed with lymphoma, we had to reschedule our trip. Schweitzer management refused to refund or let us reschedule our dates. I still wanted to ski Schweitzer, so when we found this place instead and booked for February. When I come back, Iâll stay here! Sorry Schweitzer, but you lost potentially loyal customer!
Beautiful view of ski mountain from room, walkable distance to village and lifts (check skis near lifts so don't have to carry them each day). Very outdated unit with an uncomfortable bed, but for those who ski hard all you need is a nice place to sleep and this was it. Great enclosed garage with ski locker, no elevators so prepare to carry any bags up to top floor. Perfect for two adults, but four might be a bit crowded. We did not end up cooking, but looks to be well stocked with cooking amenities. Fireplace cannot be used, but good heating system in rooms. Free shuttle service up to 10:00 pm to drive you from Red Cricket to village or St Bernards and back! Overall, if looking for high end updated, modern.place, this is not it- if you want affordable, comfortable unit with enclosed parking garage you found it!! (Oh bring a hair dryer as none provided).
This condo is located within an easy, close walk to the upper parking lot, then through the parking lot to the lifts. Few condo's are ski in ski out there so Schweitzer has a ski check that I will investigate the next time we rent here. (The walk is really no further than many ski area parking lots are, I just love the idea of not carrying my skis).
The condo itself is good for the price charged. It is clean, you can cook - plenty of dishes pots and pans, silverware etc. The bathroom is small, but everything works, the bed is ok and it is warm plus you have a killer view. The garage is heated and there is a storage closet in front of the parking spot for your gear.
Here are the things I will caution you about: there is not an elevator and the condo is on the 2 floor. The TV's are old, no cable but there are 3-4- drawers full of VHS to watch, but it is hard to watch from where the couch is. The WIFI is great and we ended up watching Netflix from our laptop. There are some restaurants in the village, but the village is small (but growing), so I think that the TV is more of a focal point after skiing than it might be in a more robust nightlife environment. Bring books, laptops and some entertainment for the evenings. Skiing is terrific and you can tell that there were many good memories created here. Again, this condo is dated but a everything works and it at a terrific price.
This was not the nostalgic stay we had hoped for. The bathroom and kitchen were both dirty, the kitchen had a horrible odor due to old food in the sink, the sheets were covered in hairsâŠbeautiful surroundings on the mountain
The contents of this hovel should be hauled away. Reminiscent of a 1970's era skier crash pad - all that's missing is the beer stains. Oops, I forgot about the water stained dining table and the rickety chairs. Okay, all that's missing is the beer smell. But the heated garage is nice.
Enjoyed our stay a small one bedroom apartment in an older building. Stayed in the summer but really enjoyed the view and quiet. Some issues that were promised to be handled by the management, The place was clean and accommodating. Only wish that more was in the neighborhood for dining especially after 5 PM.
First, this unit was clean - clean bathroom, clean kitchen, etc. However, furnishings and decor are very dated and even ugly. TV options are limited - plenty of VHS tapes to choose from, but no broadcast, cable or satellite, no DVDs. Its clear that you're only paying for proximity to Schweitzer Village. Don't expect to enjoy the condo.
The view is killer. Just no cable is my "complaint" but other than that, really quiet and lowkey from everything in that area. I would rent again if Im ever back in that area. Thank you Vacasa. They were very helpful when I needed them.
Enjoyed our time there, however we left a jacket and the property management didnt get back to us after we called and sat on hold for sometime...still would like to see if the jacket is still around...
The condo was clean & conveniently located close to the slopes but. I think the owner did their furniture & kitchen shopping at Goodwill. I have never seen such old cooking equipment & dining furniture in a rental before. Even providing a can opener would have been a nice addition as well as a couple of decent saucepans ; a warm blanket or comforter for the bed; at least one TV screen from this century not the 1980âs & a baking sheet that was at least flat
