We stayed with a group of friends and the house was more than spacious enough for all of us! The property is clean and absolutely beautiful, we especially enjoyed the deck and fire table. We would definitely recommend it to others and hope to come back again soon.
We really enjoyed our stay at Saus Haus. Perfect place for two families. The living room with large windows overlooking the property and fireplace was a perfect place to relax after a day skiing. We werenât thrilled that we couldnât ski to and from Magic as the description of the property made it seem. That was really disappointing as we thought this was essentially ski in/out, which it was not. If there is a path/trail it was not made known to us.
The house and location overall was perfect for two families- we just wished it was actually on the mountain.
We stayed at this property for one month and loved it. The host was wonderful, very responsive and the location of the house, on Magic Mountain ski resort, was perfect because the house had beautiful views of the Green Mountains. The highlight of our visit was watching the sun set behind the mountains in front of the fire pit. A terrific place for ski families, but also a wonderful place to stay in the summer. Highly recommended!
This was the perfect house for a Vermont ski getaway. Super close to Magic Mountain. Great view out back and a terrific fireplace to relax in front of after a day of skiing. The kids had a blast sledding out back and playing ping pong in the basement. The house had everything we needed. Excited to go back next year.
In the spring of 1963 the ownerâs visited friends who had just completed their ski home on Magic Mountain. They introduced them to Hans Thorner, the owner of Magic and immediately embraced the concept of the Swiss Chalet village. The building began and they moved in in November of 1963.
In 1987 they purchased 2 additional lots and expanded the house to accommodate their expanding family of grandchildren. The house has grown and been updated several times and is very comfortable for all ages. The large round dining table made by the owner in the 60âs seats 10 and if it could talk would have 55 years of tales to tell. In the 90âs more property was purchased and trees cleared to open a view that boasts the beauty of the green mountains near and far. Spectacular sunsets from a covered deck extend the outdoor living regardless of the weather.
