The cozy cottage was ideal for our short stay in the Dallas area. While located next to the main house at the end of a cul-de-sac, it is still very private with beautiful landscaping and courtyard area. My wife was able to work remotely from the cottage while I was away and loved the nostalgic design of this old cottage. The owners were very nice and hospitable throughout our stay.
This is the perfect place to stay for 1-2 ppl looking to enjoy Dallas. Especially if youâre traveling with a dog. The dog run was extremely convenient. Will definitely be back.
Charming historical cottage with all of the modern comforts. The garden is gorgeous, inviting, and peaceful. The hosts are generous and a pleasure to work with. We would love to return for another stay!
The check in process was simple and easy. Candice answered all of my questions and then some. Cute, clean and quiet little cottage. I loved staying there.
Beautifully decorated cottage conveniently located near the Bishop Arts District and close to Dallas attractions. Upscale ammenities and gracious hosts who have thought of everything. A true escape.
Being here felt like a dream. The owners were absolutely hospitable and kind to me. The place was everything I needed for a staycation. It was peaceful, clean, cozy and away from the busy streets. I enjoyed my stay here and lookj forward to coming back.
The cottage is super comfy, private, clean and artistically decorated, inside and out. The front porch and back gardens were perfect for morning coffee and relaxing after busy days spent exploring the area. Location is great- close to restaurants, bars, unique shops and a DART station. Candice and Richard are friendly and thoughtful hosts. Thanks for the lovely stay, wine and box of goodies from the local bakery. We thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful cottage.
We came to Dallas for our granddaughterâs sporting event. Finding this little gem was the topping on the cake for a great trip. Candice and Richard were welcoming, generous and helpful with anything we needed. Being from the county we really enjoyed the little slice of country they have in the big city. The little cottage was warm and welcoming. Itâs decorated beautifully and stocked with anything you might need. The Bishop Arts District is close by and provides shopping, great restaurants and a busy music and nightlife scene. We didnât get to spend too much time in the area since we were busy with our granddaughter, but we hope to come back soon for a little weekend vacation. The best part is we wonât have to find somewhere to stay. We know the perfect place!
Driving in on a dark rainy day we were a little unsure about the location, but the cottage was so cute and very private. Itâs obvious the owners spent a lot of time planning the garden and outdoor areas were because every inch of it feels perfectly placed and incredibly private and secluded, even though you are in a neighborhood with houses nearby. It was very cozy on a cold November weekend and exactly what we hoped for!
I was in town to visit family that I hadnât seen since 1999 and so when I found this cute and convenient cottage. It was nicely furnished and had all the comfortâs of home that are a nice treat when traveling. I definitely enjoyed my stay here where it was nice and private compared to a hotel room. Candice was extremely gracious and always available for me whenever I had any questions. I would totally stay here again in the future whenever in the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Kaseeta! It was beautifully staged we had everything we needed. The grounds around the property were exquisite with beautiful flowers and thoughtful sculptures. There were secret gardens and just a relaxing atmosphere. The hosts were kind and truly made us feel at home. They are the true example of Texas Hospitality. Would recommend a stay at their property anytime. Best stay ever!! Thank you for your attention to detail!!
While we didnât get to utilize the wonderful looking garden outside, we did get to enjoy the quaint little cottage. Cooking utensils such as counter top burners, a toaster oven, and microwave were available as well as plenty of eat ware. The bathroom was a little small and compact, but very clean and reasonable with soaps provided. The bedding was clean and comfortable as well as the furniture being very fitting. The location seemed as though it was nice but we werenât going to the local venues and had to deal with the âwonderfulâ DFW traffic, though it was not too terrible otherwise.we greatly enjoyed our stay and would be very glad to stay again should we be looking to visit the area :).
loooooved this place! a hidden gem, quirky, clean, professional, personable! you name it! they should be charging triple....glad I booked when I did! I hope this review locks in my price for next time ;)
What a dream little cottage! And an amazing garden too! Totally quiet culdesac in a sweet neighborhood. Unique furnishings, well equipped kitchen, and fully modern bathroom. Met the delightful hosts briefly, but had total privacy. The garden had little places to sit that I would have loved to use if it hadnât rained all weekend, but I did enjoy the view of it from the cozy porch. The location is a quick drive to the Bishop arts area or to I-35 to go anywhere else. Snap up this rental if itâs available. Itâs perfect!
We loved our stay at this little cottage. Candice (the host) stocked the cottage with all kinds of goodie for us to snack on and included a bouquet of fresh cut flowers. She also included special lotions, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable as was the living room furniture. This cottage is decorated nice and has a wonderful warm feel to... very relaxing! Thank you Candice & Richard!
We rented Candice's cottage for the weekend while we attended the Wings Over Dallas airshow at the Dallas Executive Airport. Candice made us feel very welcome by contacting us before we arrived to find out if we had any special requests. When we opened the front door there was a beautiful bouquet of roses on the bookcase, and we found pumpkin bread and orange juice for breakfast. The cottage was at the end of a cul-de-sac, it was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We would stay again.
This charming cottage is delightful and is now our first choice for every visit to Dallas. A special bonus for us is that it is located a ten minute walk from our relativesâ house. The cottage is comfortable and relaxing. The hosts gave us a lot of information before we arrived. Inside we found a personalized welcome letter. There was ground coffee, orange juice, specialty bread and many other food items. We enjoyed the decor and framed art. Most of all, we felt appreciated and welcome.
Amazing!!!! The cottage exceeded all of our expectations. It is located in a very quiet spot with a nice front porch to sit on and a very nice private area outside for sitting outside and relaxing in the evening. Lots of butterflies and squirrels to watch and a nice little Chimenea for making a fire. The property is exceptionally clean and very comfortable inside and out. If your looking for somewhere to stay thatâs close to everything but feels like it is far away this spot is perfect. The host had everything we needed and then some to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Would highly recommend!!!
I booked the garden cottage for a weekend as I was in Dallas from New York for a work event. The garden is beautiful and was perfect for my morning meditations. I gained so much positive energy, peace, and clarity during my stay at the cottage. I was not able to meet Candice, but I had great conversations with Richard. I look forward to meeting Candice in the future. Whenever I need to travel back to Dallas for work, this is by far the first place I will look to stay. Thank you, Candice and Richard, for sharing the light and love of your beautiful garden cottage!
We are creatives by nature. I am a photographer and Richard is a painter, sculptor as well as floral designer. We love to dance and are avid Argentine Tango Dancers. We created gardens around the Cottage to create a one of a kind private personal and romantic space for our guests. We treat each one of our guests individually, with different breakfast goodies. We are both Texans and grew up in Dallas, so if you need recommendations or a guided tour around town, we are available to help. Respecting your privacy, we are always on hand to answer any and all questions and are committed to making your stay a one of a kind experience.
The main house on the property was built in circa 1900 and has been through many metamorphoses. In the 1920's it was a well known "speakeasy" and gambling and dance hall. When we renovated the property in 1999, we found game table rivets in the floor. The back was originally the front of the property with a bridge over the creek. Rumor has it that lights would be shown up through the small cupola tower to let guests know if the club was open or not. This property comes alive at night with an ambience of frivolity and joy! We Iive right across the driveway in the main house.
We are at the end of a cul de sac on 3/4 or an acre, and although we are so close to the city, it is quiet and peaceful, and very private next to a creek with guest private gardens.
