Cette maison est idéalement située sur le bras ouest du lac Wallon, à quelques minutes du centre-ville de Petoskey, de Bay Harbor et de Charlevoix. Profitez des couchers de soleil spectaculaires sur la Wallonie depuis le front de mer sableux et compacté. Cette maison familiale dispose de trois chambres et de deux salles de bain complètes dans un aménagement confortable. Il y a une grande terrasse en bois donnant sur une pelouse bien entretenue qui mène au lac. Un quai de bateau privé inclus avec la location. Cette location est équipée de la télévision par câble, WIFI, cheminée, barbecue à gaz et laveuse et sécheuse empilés. .

Wonderful Lake Cottage

Great location for all the fun on Walloon lake!! Perfect amount of space between the 3 bedrooms, kid friendly and beautiful dock on the water. Great place for a family vacation!

Perfect place to relax. Lake was beautiful. Host quickly responded to any questions and we were welcomed with a pastry from a local bakery. Would definitely stay again!

Needs to be sprayed for ants and nats. TV cable in the master bedroom did not work. Otherwise the lake is beautiful and the cottage served its purpose and was nice overall.

Hi Joe, thank you for staying with us and your review! This is the first we've heard of the cable issue in the master bedroom, so we will work on getting that fixed. Ants are pretty bad near the end of the summer, so we always recommend that renters to keep food off of the counters and set up ant traps to help keep them at bay. Thanks again for staying and keep us in mind the next time you visit the area.

Home could not be in a better location. Directly on the water, it really lets you enjoy the lake to the fullest. While well appointed, the house does not have air conditioning, which we knew ahead of time, but did not realize when we booked it. The washing machine was broken, which was super unfortunate since we’d been traveling and was depending on that. And it could have been cleaner, but we still had a wonderful stay and would come back.

We do have in the listing description that the home does not have air conditioning, but the house does stay relatively cool during the summer and each bedroom does have fans. Unfortunately, there was not much we could do with the washing machine. This has been replaced with a brand new one, and we apologize for the inconvenience it caused during your stay. Nice cottage

Nice older cottage in a great location on the West Arm. Close to Petoskey and Bay Harbor. Nice deck. Newer dock, great for the pontoon boat and for sitting. A/C would have been nice to have for a few nights of our stay.

Perfect little cottage on Walloon Lake

My girlfriend and our two friends and their two small children had a wonderful stay at this property. The yard was perfect for badminton; we loved sitting on the dock drinking wine and taking in the sunset. And the location is ideal, with easy access to Petoskey and Charlevoix. The kitchen was well stocked and made preparing meals easy. Would love to visit again!

Cozy cabin in great location

We recently stayed here and it was wonderful. We comfortably slept 4 adults and 6 kids. The cabin was very cozy and super clean, and the most well stocked rental I have stayed in. The view of the lake is great, we enjoyed just sitting on the porch. There isn’t a beach but the kids used the ladder off the dock and we’re able to use the ladder and had fun swimming around. The location is nice as it’s close to Lake Michigan, downtown petoskey and Charlevoix. We had a great time and would love to come back!

Great location....needed cleaning.

We have been coming to Walloon for decades. The best lake in Michigan by far. This house could be so cute with some updates! I don’t mind old and this was a 5 star location, but the house was not clean! There is no excuse for a dirty rental. 6 of us spent hours cleaning upon arrival. I washed all the sheets (one pillow case was obviously not washed with makeup all over it that came out with one wash). The refrigerator was not wiped out, the floor was covered with glass and dirt from a stove that was delivered (it was nice that was new!), my Clorox wipes were filthy with every wipe! Many broken things throughout the house like window casings and handles, the sliding screen door, and living room furniture. The yard was not picked up with junk left from prior renters. On the positive side....The property was in a great location and nice space outside with a great dock for our pontoon and 2 sea doos. The mattresses were new and comfortable. Despite the disappointment the first day and hours we spent cleaning, it was an amazing week on the lake and with family. We love Walloon. I would definitely rent again if I was guaranteed a clean arrival and some basic updates to the home.

Hello Mike, Thank you so much for your review and feedback. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the majority of your stay. I sincerely apologize concerning the state of the house upon the delivery of the new stove. The cleaners had finished that afternoon, but it seemed the delivery personnel did not leave it in the same state. I was able to send our cleaning personnel over within 30 minutes to clean up after the delivery. We will do our best to make sure the house is more rental ready moving forward for check-ins in the future. The property owner also has some plans to do some updates on the home during this off season (most that you have suggested). Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope you come back in the future!

We spent the week at the lovely cottage on Walloon Lake. The house has a fantastic location on the north arm of the lake, directly next to the boat launch and across from Bear Cove Marina. It’s also an easy drive into Petoskey for shopping or recreating. The house is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with plenty of beach towels, kitchen extras, games and puzzles, and a lovely deck for relaxing and dining Al Fresco! A brand new deck was a nice surprise, for docking our rental boat. We made many special memories and would happily return to the property!

June 2022 Stay

We had absolutely the best time at the cozy cabin on Walloon lake. We rented a boat from Bear Cove Marina and the dock was perfect for parking it. The deck and grill were perfect for our family, as were the beds and accommodations. The house is very well stocked with the small things such as spices, laundry detergent, icemaker. It made for a wonderful week full of family memories! I hope we can return very soon.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: True cottage on a great location on the west arm at Walloon Lake.On the east, or sunset, side of the west arm, the view and location could not be better. Directly across from Bear Cove Marina, great neighbors, awesome lake spot, and a very nice sized yard facing the lake. The two outdoor minuses are the dock, which is small, old, and wooden. It does not have a true sunning or sitting area. The other is that there is a boat launch right next-door. It’s not a busy launch, so there’s not a ton of boats there, but they go right in front of the dock to the launch. Owners should put a swimming buoy 100 feet off the dock, so boats don’t some come so close to the end of the dock.Inside, the Cottage is small, and needs updates. On the plus side, it has a great (and big) outdoor deck, with a nice picnic table and plenty of deck furniture. Good gas grill, with a gorgeous view as you grill and eat dinner outside. There is a bunk room as one of the bedrooms upstairs, with a queen bed and two double trundle‘s, so plenty of sleeping room for kids.Like I said, a true cottage. Don’t expect an update at home, but it is a great place to spend a week or two on Walloon Lake and a very good value.

Served the purpose well

Great view of Walloon Lake - Place was not really dirty yet did not feel all that clean either. Reminded us of our old cedar and knotty pine cabin on another lake but bigger. We watched our grandchildren a few nights and it worked out well. Bring coffee up with you, there were filters but we neglected to bring coffee up so that first morning had to run out and buy some. Most everything else is there.

Overall the house was nice and great spot on the lake

The house could use some love from the owners as it’s needs some overall maintenance. The screen door slider was broken and needs to be replaced, two windows upstairs would not close, the mattress in main bedroom needs to be replaced, install a deadbolt on front door, organize the kitchen supplies and add rugs in front of doors Overall just some annual maintenance and the house would be even better. Thanks for the opportunity to stay and enjoy the week!
