Beautiful property, very well designed by owner. You can see the details and appreciation that has gone into this house. Various different areas to live and sleep. Great host that treated us warmly, always reachable and lots of proactive support which was outstanding. Can highly recommend.
One of the best stays I have ever had. Estelleâs villa was not only beautiful, it was furnished with absolute class. The space was used fantastically well and it reminded us of a French chalet with her style and penache. Moreover, she is very communicative, extremely helpful in suggesting and getting things booked for us (example Covid tests, transfers, discounts on car rentals etc) that you will feel like you have a friend in Hvar already. She is a top notch host, a gem of a person and one of the kindest hearts you will meet. Oh, and did I mention the villa is Beautiful!
The villa is absolutely stunning. The pictures do not do it full justice. The outside is a lot bigger than you think and is a great space to hang out in during the day. There is a separate seating area outside which has shade cover with a sink and bbq so perfect for daytime entertaining. There are plenty of places to chill out in the garden too both in the shade and in the sun. The inside of the house is absolutely stunning and extremely spacious. Estelle was the perfect host from start to finish. She assisted us with car hire and the water taxi over to Hvar island and also recommended accommodation for our friends who had booked late. The village of Vrbanj has a lovely restaurant with fantascit food in walking distance. Jelsa is a lovely little harbour about 10 minutes by car, definitley worth a visit both during the day and for dinner. The same with Stari Grad which is also only 10 mins by car. Vrboska is about 8 minutes by car great for dinner one night and a wander round the bays during the day. You must take a trip to Hvar Town, which is bustling with people but a great place to people watch and grab dinner one night. It takes approx 20 minutes by car. Hvar island didnt disappoint and the villa exceeds all expectations.
Fell in love with Croatia, specifically the island of Hvar in 2004 and have been coming and renovating this house ever since. I still love the island today and always discover new places.
The way of life on a small island is another feeling. Hard to describe. Hvar has the chance to have 2 sides. The night life and action in Hvar village and on the other side 15km, Stari Grad and all the other little village around more traditional and untouched. Beautiful bays and wild beaches. Stari Grad has been one of the first city in Europe and have a lot of history
