The home was lovely. Had everything we needed. If this home were located somewhere else we would absolutely stay again. The neighbor was extremely rude cursing at us telling us we need to stay in our rental. Whenever we went outside we were told to go back into our rental and it went south. This grown man called us names the entire time we were there. We even tried to be nice and offer assistance with the neighbors who had fallen and as we attenmpted to assist this man who was vomitting to assist this gentleman and the rude neighbor told us to get back in our fing rental and to mind our business. Called us names all weekend and we had some ladies leave because they were that uncomfortable
A truly wonderful stay! This VRBO was the perfect spot for our Chincoteague getaway. The house was clean, welcoming, and clearly well-cared for. We especially loved the screened-in porch, which was the ideal place to relax and enjoy the evenings. We'd definitely book again!
This house was easy to rent, was available on Affirm, very clean! They had extra things such as beach chairs, sand toys, and boogie boards. Great for the price! Highly recommend! Will be back!
This is a place that I donât want to leave. The kids loved it and they all said how nice and clean it was and how quiet it was! Would definately recommend staying here!
We loved the property. It was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. At first impression we felt we had found a â5â. The perfect accommodations, almost.
After arriving and putting our perishables in the refrigerator, we joined others for dinner & drinks. We returned around 11pm and when we went to bed we found that there were no sheets provided for the beds.
I went to the VRBO app and after drilling down found the section indicating a surcharge for what we assumed and felt should be included. We are on vacation and never gave a thought to this being a potential problem. At 11PM this was a clear issue. We were very dissatisfied with your decision to make this an optional item. As a vacation rental, we all expected a host to strive to make the stay as simple and enjoyable as possible. Including the $30, which we read as the max option, would not have deterred us from making the reservation, but the omission of the sheets implies a money grubbing attitude.
Bottom line, I intended to provide a â4â as a rating because of this oversite, but then we found the envelope asking for a tip for housekeeping. Considering we left the property essentially exactly as we found it, we felt the $150 being charged was exorbitant. Requesting an additional tip for clearing the sheets, for which we had already paid a supplemental charge, felt like adding insult to injury, and reinforcing our now tainted opinion. (This cleaning charge I was aware of ahead of time, but that didnât stop us from resp
Everything was perfect for our first trip to Chincoteague and for the Pony Swim. Location was amazing, the layout of the house was perfect for my 2 kids and me; to be able to walk to the Pony Swim and the carnival was exactly what I needed. The overall condition of the house was great; the ONLY thing I noticed was the air filters in the ceiling vents needed to be changed and I noticed it because my nose was stuffy in certain places in the house and I can be sent ice to that kind of stuff. It did not impact how perfect the house was and the overall cleanliness of the rest of the house with its updates were above par. Loved it and we canât wait for our next visit!
Sweet spot with everything we could have asked for
This house was a perfect choice for a group of close friends to enjoy Chincoteague life for a week. It was roomy, clean, well appointed, and every convenience I could think of was available. Two fridges made it nice and easy to keep food on hand and lots of bevs cold. We were very appreciative to have deluxe beach chairs and fun toys to play with. The vibe is soothing and cozy and the open layout made it smooth to socialize and relax together after a long day beachin'. A gem.
All of us had an amazing time. 3 of my group have never been on a vacation and this was their first. They left with a very positive impression. Thank you. The home was super clean and conveniently in the right place to visit the island. Melany was always quick to respond with questions and requests. Looking forward to another vacation at this location. Neighbors were very friendly and kind!!
We had a nice weekend at this home. The layout was great and it had what youd need for a pleasant stay. However, when we arrived the place was not very clean. We picked up trash inside the screened-in porch, around the living room and even found a pill lying on the floor. We had a toddler and a dog with us so we thankfully found it before they did! The house is lovely, I just think it could use a little more careful cleaning.
This was the best furnished, nicest house that I have rented in Chincoteague. Everything you could want is provided. Itâs on a peaceful street near the center of town. I got the optional linen service and was pleased.
My family and I have been coming to Chincoteague for 40 years. The house we normally rent for our group of 10 was not available. This house was an amazing substitute! It was absolutely beautiful. It was exactly as described. The layout of the house was open and bright. We had one small hiccup with the linens upon arrival, but i reached out to the owner and she was immediately responsive and resolved the issue. We will definitely stay here again.
The house was nice. Lots of mosquitoes. Property manager was extremely nice and responsive. Grass was tall but they came out right away and cut it. Cleaning people were after 4 finishing when we arrived and were rude about it. Overall a very nice vacation with family. Iâd definitely come again. Horses were awesome. Restaurants good.
Another wonderful year at the beach! My family and I love this house. Itâs a wonderful property and works great for us. Melanie is always wonderful to work with and we look forward to coming again next year!
Nice House but Nextdoor are 2 mobile homes ,otherside 2 boarded up places. just not our cup of tea !
House was fine, needs some checking into..the sawn rugs in table area inside and picnic table outside can never be cleaned properly for dropped food...the stairs going up to second floor very slippery and at top there is nothing stopping a small child from falling..need step pads.. The backyard has dog dirt because neighbors (2 Trailers) allow their dog to wander into the yard. Beware !! If you bring a dog watch out for tics...There is a sign off Church Street on Willow that says "Tic Town' and they are not kidding..Again house was fine, TV even had HBO...Within walking to Towns Main Street..Take Captain Dans tours around the island and see lots of ponies..
The house was perfect! It was well appointed and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was very well stocked (pots, pans, spices, coffee filters, dish soap, and paper towels). The beds were comfortable with nice linens. The bathrooms were modern and the laundry room was equipped with new washer/dryer and ample laundry detergent. Overall, the house felt fresh and was immaculately cleaned.
Our family lives in Lancaster Pennsylvania. This is our second family vacation rental. We seek out the quaint, family friendly, vacation locations. We have been coming to Chincoteague for over four years. This is a natural fit for our family's personality and tastes, and we love the laid back small town vibe that Chincoteague offers.
We relish the cozy island atmosphere and enjoy the pristine, undeveloped beaches and surrounding area of Assateague Island. We purchased this brand new house and furnished it ourselves, with families in mind to enjoy everything the island offers and still provide you with all the comforts of home!
We love the open floor plan of this home. The large front screened in porch with double French doors that open fully to the dining/living and kitchen space are ideal for those perfect summer evenings.
