The owner has this home listed for sale - you can see it the link below so the home has not been kept well and is in major need of repair. I paid for my entire stay nearly 2 months in advance so the owner had plenty of notice to inspect the home prior to our arrival. As we landed in Cancun I messaged the local host who asked me to give her an ETA as to when we be arriving to Casa Adam which I do (2+ hours notice), not to mention the number of messages I sent to the owner as to when we be arriving. When we do the the house there was no one there and the home smelled like mildew as if it has been closed and unattended for days or even weeks. The home was super hot, the main master was so hot that it took almost 12 hours to cool so my wife and I couldn't even sleep in it. We were a group of 8 close friend so booked this home with the intent of using the pool since June is sea weed season so the beaches aren't very nice. In Casa Adam's listing the main focus of the home is the main pool which is why we booked. Well, the second issue is the pool pump was broken when we notice no water flow and a ton of mosquitos and larvae swimming around the pool. Next to the broken pump a underwear was found. From there the main central AC was not working, From there a clog toilet, from there broken washing machine, from there a broken dryer, from there the top desk pool began to leak, from there a massive danger to me and my guest when we notice a severe water leak coming thru an electric circuit box on to a concrete floor at the bottom of a stair case directly across from one of the down stairs bathroom which was likely the reason we ran out of water for an entire evening . From there to 2 clock shower with seating water to our ankles. Not to mention the torn sofa cushion. I'm in real estate and so was 2 of the other guests, one who manages over 35 vacations homes in the USA. We are all very patience and understanding people but this home should have never been rented in this conditions. This is a clear case of misrepresentation and lack of inspection. The owner is selling it so he's trying to get whatever he can out of it until it does. Also, there's major construction right next door, something that the owner also failed to mentioned to me.
This home ruined out long planed trip. I asked VRBO to relocated us 4 times and they didn't so my guest began to leave to hotels as since staying at Casa Adam was the single most awful experience we ever had.
DO NOT BOOK!
