We had a fantastic time staying here. It felt like home. My wife, who speaks French, made friends with the old fisherman next-door and bought a kilo of parrotfish that he traps out in front of his home next to ours. His son and him clean the fish every day and the blackfin reef sharks and rays gathered around him in 6 inch to 10 inch water. Right where we launched our kayak and also went snorkeling. At any one time there could be 10 sharks and five rays, and they would be touching basically the top of your feet. That’s how shallow it was. It was a beautiful, beautiful view every evening, especially from the kayak and from the veranda. The two bedrooms were good, and they had air conditioners, and they actually cooled the whole house if needed. My wife cooked most of our meals, and we really enjoyed feeling like this was home. I only used the outdoor shower. She said the indoor shower was OK. The kayaks were great, but they were a little difficult to get up and down from the beach since it was a eight-step wooden staircase that was built fairly recently. It needs to have a railing. I am 77 and it was difficult getting up and down there with or without the kayak. I ended up just dragging the kayak around the access point next to the house, which was still a little difficult. My wife’s friends next door, their sons, big giant guys, helped me two or three times without me asking. It was a very friendly, nice environment. The microwave is in a bizarre place. We love this place.
