Lovely Bungalow

This was a fabulous little bungalow slightly off the beaten path. It has a lovely outdoor area where you can sit and watch the sunset. Small, quaint and everything you need. Internet was a little sketchy at times. Would stay there again

Great Stay on Moorea!

Had a great stay here while in Moorea. Great location and had everything we needed during our stay. Mingee the dog was also a great host while we were there she was always eager to walk with us down to the beach.

Quiet, easy walk to Ocean front. Beautiful beach setting, swimming close by, owners very hospitable, lady of the house is bilingual English/French. Kind, friendly and positive people.

Amazing stay and wonderful host

We wish we could have stayed longer. The location was perfect, right on the beach and very close to the Temae public beach where the snorkeling is good. Thank you Michele! We hope to visit again.

Beachside on Moorea

Cozy little bungalow on the beach. We were able to watch the sunrise from the beach only a few steps from where we slept. Air conditioning was a nice treat for the hot humid nights. The hosts were very gracious and pleasant to deal with.

Everything Beautiful

Our stay was beyond what we hoped for. Michel is a wonderful host. He helped us with advice and booking a beautiful sailing tour. And he let me practice my French. Our only challenge was finding the property when we first arrived.

Quiet little hideaway

This bungalow was clean and quiet and having the beach right there was wonderful! The owners own house was located right next to this bungalow on the same property, and that came as a surprise. But the owners where very kind and welcoming and although they were available if we needed them, they kept to themselves and let us enjoy the property as if it was our own. Overall I would definitely recommend this buglalow and the location.

Excellent friendly wonderful

Annabelle treated us like family. Air France lost our luggage in LAX. Anabelle fixed us up with a pair of Michel's shorts and other amenities, and stayed waiting for our luggage while we continued our honeymoon touring Moorea. Minjee was our friendly dog for 3 days in and out of the bungalow and when we walked through the garden to our own beach. Rustic glamping with all the necessities, that we loved. No exact address, but Michel is right there is only one place two driveways after Green Lodge (note Green Lodge has two driveways).

Everything was , for me, great here. Away from the majority of people and beautiful. Only downside was that the wifi didnt work most of the time. Hard to look up ferry schedules etc without it.

The property is as pictured. Super cute and comfy and great location - whale and dolphin watching out front. Adorable dog. The wifi signal isn't great if you're not in the right spot. Also I wouldn't plan on cooking large meals, but it's perfectly suitable for something easy. We would definitely recommend and go again. Miss this place already.

The perfect beach escape

Our time at Michel's was simply magical! A simple, clean little cottage with very comfortable beds adjacent to a gorgeous beach makes this a perfect stay for us. Michel was a gracious host. He was very helpful in getting us oriented when we arrived and always checked in in case we needed anything. An added bonus was our host dog, Minjee! The only thing better than wandering on a gorgeous beach collecting shells and swimming, is having a happy dog along to play with! We were sad to leave and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else should we be lucky enough to return. Merci, Michel!

Wonderful Break

We concur with the comments made by others. The property is exactly as described on the listing. The owner (and gorgeous dog) made us welcome and then left us to enjoy the shared property as if it was our own. The 'glamping' style suited us perfectly and we spent many hours at the beach, using the furniture set out at the end of the garden. Between the markets and the local cafes we had everything we needed to eat and would return again. Merci Michel.

Morning coffee, evening drinks a few steps to the ocean

Perfect location, 1 mile walk to Temae Beach. Special bonus, sweet Michi dog. We also liked the garden area to play cards. It was like glamping as fridge and cold water sink were not in the kitchen, but in an outdoor room. Host Michel was very nice but limited English. 3.2 miles to Maharepa. We walked from Albert Transport by Manava Resort although Albert's wanted to drive us after renting a car.

Scuba vacation

In a previous review, someone compared this property to "glamping", which I would say is pretty accurate. Comfortable place, but you did have to go outside to get to the sink (cold water) to wash dishes or go to the refrigerator. This was something I could easily deal with, so not a problem for us. Location was perfect, so close to Temae beach and not too far from anything else. Nice to sit by the water in the morning and at sunset. Michel and Elisabeth were great hosts. Elisabeth checked in with us often to make sure we had everything we needed, and even invited us on a walk with them. We had an issue with ants in the bungalow, which Elisabeth took care of immediately.

Temae bungalow

The building is in the back corner of the property right behind the house. Nice to have full size fridge but unfortunately at the far end of building in separate room. We were disappointed to find the BBQ rusted out and beyond use. We spent a lot of time in the chairs w/ table by the beach but reef too close for swimming. Listing says hot tub but we never saw that, not that we'd have used it.... Water is not potable but there is a public source not far away. We stayed in numerous places on our month long trip to Moorea and Tahiti, although we made the best of it and it was by no means bad, it just didn't live up to other places we stayed. As another reviewer mentioned it could be considered glamping and we loved having the A/C!! Not dissatisfied! Thanks Michel!

Lost in the Dark on Team

I don't recommend arriving after dark to this accommodation haha as the Accoms has 'no name' and therefore no name on the Gate - even after the very clear instructions (2nd gate way after Green Lodge) - we still managed to go to wrong property - actually I think it was the Book-a-bach site location map did not show THIS property CLEARLY ENOUGH on the map provided - so that would help Book-a-Bach - please Name THIS property on your site map "Bungalow in a Garden" it will help travellers ..... c'est la vie. A/c was fantastic and appreciated! Internet was a bit hit and miss when we stayed. We would have appreciated having push bikes close by to get to shops or beach or just enjoy walking lots or paying for taxi's. Motu Grill Restaurant is just at end of the driveway - lifesaver. Own access to beach with possibility of seeing whales sail by is Superb also - no whales til whale season Aug - Oct??. Appreciated Elisabeth comms via WhatsApp quickly - would be great to have Local Host to respond same day, we felt a bit 'left' as we were not familiar with a lot of amenities/local but we know now and would definitely be back to see our friend Minghee the dog. Appreciated the cold Hinano also!! Cheers Michel & Elisabeth.

Wonderful, relaxing bungalow!

This bungalow was exactly as described on the website. Excellent communication with Michael and checkin was easy! The bungalow was immaculate and had a very large bathroom/shower! Kitchen was nice. Just down the road is a family owned restaurant, Motu Grill which was opened for lunch and dinner. Prices were good and the grilled chicken was delicious. Also about 1/2 mile from the bungalow was a public beach. Easy to walk or drive. We didn't rent a car so walked or had taxi meet us right infront of the Motu Grill sign. Spent my early mornings watching the sunrise over the sea. What a breathtaking sight that was every morning. Manjee(owner's friendly dog) joined me as we sat and enjoyed it. We strolled along the beach in the early evening and saw whales going by. What a sight to see! If your looking for a place on the beach to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the busy world. This is your place! It was one of the most relaxing vacations I have had in a long while! I would absolutely stay here again and will definitely tell my friends about it.

Wonderful bungalow!

This nice little bungalow has everything one needs. It is not close to many things, so I recommend a rental car. But there are also a couple of places to eat within walking distance. Michel was a great host and took us on a nice walk through the forest, golf course and finally to a very cool viewpoint. Michel also assisted us in attempting to book an excursion. The beach out front is wild and beautiful and we found a great place to spend the day and swim in the water only a few minute walk away. Amazing snorkelling at Temae beach, which is also close by (5min by car, 20 minute walk).

Once we had contacted Michel, he was a very considerate and helpful host. He arranged a settling in grocery shop. After we had chilled for a couple of days he arranged 2 tours for us One land-based and the other on the lagoon

Nous avons eu le coup de cœur pour la Polynésie il y a 25 ans et nous ne l avons plus quitté. Nous avons réside à Tahiti et nous sommes venu nous ressourcer sur l'île sœur, Moorea.

Ce quartier est très paisible,c est un ilot de verdure sur la plage,avec plusieurs endroits de baignade,de balades. Le golf est à côté. C est un endroit qui permet de se retrouver , en harmonie avec l océan et la nature.
