Iâve stayed in the complex before, and this unit did not disappoint per usual! Very spacious for 2 people and a short walk to the village gondola for skiing and getting to the restaurants in the area. Would definitely stay here again!
1 BR 1BA perfect for a couple. Location is walkable to village. Blue Line bus stops at top of driveway and takes you to Canyon lodge. Well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and some basic spices.
The condo is convenient for a ski trip since it's nearby the gondola in the village, however, someone can tell it's a very old condo that hasn't been renovated for quite a while. The main issue though is that the condo was extremely cold when we arrived and it took us almost 2 days to bring it to a normal temperature
Close to the village but probably longer than you want to be walking in ski boots and carrying your gear. The place was clean and had all the necessary items. The instructions did not mention we needed to put a permit for parking. We got a warning sticker which was pasted on the window of our vehicle saying it would be towed by 4pm. It look my partner 30 minutes to scrape off the warning sticker. The heat is also only in the living room so youâll need to leave all doors open to get heat in the bedroom and bathroom and even then it was still a bit cold.
The property was easily accessible and close to both town and outdoor experiences. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable--a perfect space for one or two people for a weekend getaway.
The location is excellent. Taking the blue line to and from canyon lodge was extremely convenient, even with younger kids and their gear! The walk to the village is quite short if you're not carrying gear, so it gives options if you want to eat out in the evening. We were a little concerned about the size of the condo for 4 people but it turned out just fine! The condo makes efficient use of the space. We were able to leave the futon extended as a bed the entire time for the kids and it didn't obstruct the way too much. I would probably look for something larger for 4 adults, but it works great for a family of 4 with kids that can share a smaller bed.We would definitely stay here again!
This is the second time I have stayed here. It is close to the village, and has sufficient parking and they do a good job of plowing the complex and parking spots. The bed has a tempurpedic mattress, and is great on the back after skiing all day. I highly recommend this place.
The space was perfect during my weekend stay in town for a wedding. It had all the amenities I wouldnât have gotten with a hotel but with the same convenient location. I chose this space for my stay as an alternative to the Westin as they are right near one another.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a ski weekend and we loved it. Itâs so great for a couple or small family. The location is super central, only a few minutes walk from mammoth village and the gondola and hereâs a ski bus line that runs right by. Parking was included, the heater works great and so do all of the appliances. Check in and check out was so easy. We would absolutely stay here again.
The place was cute and clean. Perfect for one or two people. Great location to the Village with lots of restaurants and it was easy to catch the Gondola for skiing and the Apres Ski Party at Canyon Lodge. From the pictures there looks like there is a fireplace but it has been decommissioned. The heater works great so all was well. It was a great trip, the snow was perfect.
The place was close to the village, which we wanted. It was clean but a little rough around the edges- rug and chair cushions added a nice touch after we found them stuffed under the blankets. The photos show a fire place but it was covered in sheet metal- to be fair the amenities do not say there is a fire place. The futon in the living room is not inviting.
The bedroom and shower are amazing- great mattress and water pressure
The location of the place was nice but once you got inside it was far different, the fireplace that was listed was boarded up and screwed shut, the kitchen was poorly stocked and most of the pans were still dirty from the last guest. The code for the jacuzzi was wrong and when we reached out to the rental company the person was extremely rude. Overall the condo is run down and not well kept. Would not stay here again.
This is our 3rd time staying in the Mountain View Villas. We love this complex, it's close to Eagle Lodge and a short drive to Minaret. This particular place was not as clean as the other units we've stayed in. I'm not sure if maybe it's because of all the snow they have and maybe nobody has been their for a while. The blankets and sheets smelled "stuffy" almost like mildew. The dishwasher had dishes in it (not sure if they were clean or dirty, didn't want to find out just started it). I understand the snow broke the kitchen window and that's why it was boarded up but the heater in the bedroom didn't work. It was kinda cold in there. Other than that it's a cute place. The owner had oil and seasonings in the kitchen to cook with which was a nice surprise.
This condo is a basic, small place to stay. Very good location with a very easy walk to the #81 bus stop and a short-ish walk to the Mammoth Village. Queen bed is a firm memory foam bed, fairly comfortable, but the bed frame is made to look like trees with knots and unfortunately, one of the knots is at ankle height. I painfully hit my ankle on it several times while walking through the narrow area between the wall and the bed. In addition, while it wasn't a problem in May, there is only 1 heater for the entire place in the main living area, because the heater in the bedroom is broken and the fire place is walled off. I would think it would be fairly cold and uneven heating in the winter. The futon in the living room is very firm and uncomfortable to sleep on. The galley kitchen is small, only 2 people can use it at once and even then its tight. The bathroom is fine, but the bath fan is very loud when it is turned on. The shower has an elaborate fake rock wall which is an odd contrast to the simplicity of the rest of the place. I might stay here again, but I'd likely pay a little more to get a slightly nicer, more comfortable place. I've stayed at many similar, but nicer places in Mammoth.
Good communication about check-in and during our stay. Everything was really clean and the unit is as described/shown on VRBO. Location gives you easy access to the Village or Canyon lodges. The mattress is slightly uncomfy but after a long day of skiing, it really didnât matter and everything is very comfortable! Like any downstairs unit, there was some foot traffic noise from upstairs but not disruptive. Overall perfect place for a quick ski trip!
