Fantastic Vermont farm house in a great setting close to Okemo and Killington. Very accommodating, clean, warm and comfortable. After skiing we enjoyed just sitting around the fireplace and talking. We plan on returning next year.
We went up in December to Ski Okemo. This is a great house and has all amenities including an awesome fireplace and large eating area. Great location for two of three families to go away together and enjoy VT!
This is a lovely home -- spacious, beautifully furnished, and well-located, about 15 minutes from Okemo & downtown Ludlow. 4wd recommended for winter visitors: the house is up a steep hill, and in January the road surface was packed-down snow, so it was slippery for cars without all-wheel-drive.
My family (2 adults 2 kids and our dog) plus another family (1 adult 2 kids) spent 2 nights and 3 full days at this wonderful cabin. The home and the grounds are absolutely amazing, we didnât want to leave! Everything was clean. Beds were comfy. The fire was fantastic (thanks for all the wood!). We hope to be back soon and for a much longer trip!
This house was perfect for our family ski weekend! Full of charm and amenities!
The property is amazing! Super location - close to Okemo, Killington and Pico! The âkidsâ went to each of them! Then Mount Snow on way home! Would love to return in the summer or fall!
We especially enjoyed the mini duck hunt!!!!
This was my husbands and my second time staying at this wonderful property and we hope to be back again. It's so quiet and peaceful. Our dog Hazel had plenty of room to run around for a game of fetch and enjoyed a swim in the pond. We enjoyed watching the birds as they took advantage of the plentiful fruit trees and flowers gardens. We also had the pleasure of watching a thunderstorm roll in over the mountains. Truly a wonderful stay.
it was fairly private, only one Neighbor. Itâs basically a dead end with a class six road that goes through, but only four wheelers and heavily modified vehicles can make it through. We saw the wildlife we seen at a vacation home-porcupine eating the apples in the apple tree, frogs and ducks in the pond, a mama black bear, and her three cubs that it is visited the apple tree at the next-door neighbors pond every day. we also saw owls and deer. there is a pollinator garden so we saw lots of hummingbirds, butterflies, and bumblebees. The house has everything you need to cook with one exception, a rolling pin. we had one of the best Vermont vacations weâve had in years.
My family really enjoyed our time at this rental. It was perfect for our ski trip to Okemo. The house is in a lovely setting that Iâm sure is gogrgeous in warmer weather but was still beautiful in the snow. The only reason I didnât give a 5 is that the furniture, specifically the couches were not very clean. There were stains it was dirty. We were ok with it because it wasnât that bad but this is a quaint old house and if you are looking for something new and shiny, look elsewhere. Basically, the pictures and description are a good depiction.
The views are stunning. The property is quiet and peaceful. Our group loved the arrangement of the dining area and kitchen. We spent most of our time in the living room, hanging out on the many couches. Would recommend more throw pillows for back support, and better bed pillows. Otherwise a wonderful stay, and we plan to rent again next year
Throughout the many years that we have traveled to Vermont, my family and I have never come across the cities of Belmont and Mount Holly, so we came to the property with eagerness. However, we didn't expect to fall so deeply in love with both the property and the house itself. This was especially true in regard to my husband, who loved eating outside on the deck with the beautiful view of the mountains and spending time around the pond. This was a great place to bring our dogs as well. The house itself was very clean, and the abundance of bedrooms had us talking about bringing more family and friends the next time we visit.
The only recommendation that we have, is to add more seating in the TV room, since we had a hard time fitting ourselves on that one couch. Even if it's just an extra chair.
Until next season or next year...
Beautiful, unique and welcoming home in great location on a cul de sac with amazing views of Okemo. Rooms and bedding were comfortable as were the living spaces! Kitchen was fully stocked as was firewood for the fireplace. Decor, books and tons of games made for an interesting experience! The views were breathtaking and proximity to Okemo and local shopping were convenient.
Beautiful mountain spot with an incredible view. It was a pleasure to stay in this wonderful space. The place was comfortable and well equipped. I would highly recommend this place.
We are a quiet and neat family who have enjoyed 6 different VRBO summer rentals over the years. This home was an excellent choice -- remote enough to be refreshing, yet with easy access to adventures and shopping.
A few quibbles: Property management was a bit overly present, looking for feedback on the house within 10 minutes of our arrival, and too soon after leaving. The refrigerator didn't refrigerate until we cleaned the compressor coils at the back. We had to resupply dish washing detergent, trash bags and toilet paper ourselves -- the first time we've had to do that at a VRBO rental.
Overall, however, we were most satisfied with our stay, and would definitely return to this location again. Thanks!
My wife, myself and our baby stayed here for 4 days and will absolutely be coming back.
The property was secluded yet easy to get to. The first thing we noticed upon entering was how clean it was inside.
There was so much room to spread out and everything that we needed to give us the comforts of home were provided.
The property itself was incredible with the pond and an amazing view. There were great, small hikes right near by that we greatly enjoyed.
My one con was that the booking is through an agency rather than the owner. The individual was very responsive to my questions but I prefer to actually be speaking to the homeowner. There wasnât a welcome book or anything for the house either so it took a few minutes to figure out how to find and use a few things such as the heat.
Overall, an amazing stay that I would not hesitate to book again.
My family and I stayed over for four nights to go skiing. Due to the warm and rainy weather we only got to ski at Okemo for one day. However we all enjoyed the stay. It was clean, comfortable and close to the mountains.
The Mt. Holly house was cozy and very roomy with a fabulous fireplace. The owners stocked plenty of wood in the basement which was very much appreciated. Itâs a beautiful property with gorgeous views and plenty of land for snowshoeing. The driveway and the road made for excellent sledding for our little ones. The house was a bit cluttered, lots of knickknacks, but we had room for our things. The only complaint was that the heat only worked in one bedroom and bath, but the common areas had heat. Thankfully, there were plenty of down quilts.
