My husband and I loved our stay at Sweet Surrender. The place was clean, check in was a breeze, and the management company was very quick to respond with any issues and extremely polite. We loved the view of the mountains and the location was perfect for our first time in Tennessee. Was a wonderful vacation overall we will definitely be returning.
My husband and I stayed at Sweet Surrender for our honeymoon and it was perfect! The cabin was plenty big enough for the two of us, and the porch was great for just relaxing and enjoying the views.
We had a great stay here, nestled wonderfully between gaitlinburg and pigeon forge. Was a wonderful view and lovely cabin. Everything we wanted. We had a small issue with ground hornets on the porch to get into the cottage and the management was quick to answer and help while we were away. Overall wonderful stay.
We enjoyed our stay at Sweet Surender! The view was spectacular! The cabin was clean & had plenty of room. The hot tub was a nice end to our busy site seeing days. It was a bit difficult to get out onto the main road to go anywhere especially on the weekends & during peak driving times. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!
Great view, perfect location right between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We loved looking at the guestbooks from almost 40 years of cabin guests (we assume from the same site before the new cabin was built). What a great place!
This property was even more beautiful in person. Exceeded our expectations and are already planning on staying at this same cabin again in the near future!
Had an amazing trip. The cabin was everything we were expecting. Close drive to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to get away with their significant other.
My wife and I took out first getaway without the children in over 25 years. We stayed in the Sweet Surrender Cabin. The cabin is in a very nice location with great views. Minutes from either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Was very comfortable for the two of us. Best part is we got a visit from a momma bear with 3 small cubs in the back yard. Will be visiting again. Soon.
This place was perfect! Great views, perfectly located. Absolute gem. We will be back. Only minor issue, that wasnât a big deal, was the lack of supplies (detergent, coffee filters, spices etc). Just relaying that so people are better prepared then we were. Regardless, we loved this place.
Oh and one more thing⊠keep an eye out for the nice bear that likes to use the front deck for lounging! She stayed there for several hours capping an amazing week for us. Be safe and enjoy this cabin!
Sweet Surrender was the perfect place to celebrate our honeymoon this past week. We came over 12 hours from Texas. The cabin looks just a nice in person as it does in the photos, but the views are even more incredible in person! It felt very private and in a safe location. Enough off the grid to enjoy the peace and quite, but close enough to town to get around. We loved sitting in the hot tub and looking at the stars at night, and coffee on the swing watching the sunrise hit the mountains and listening to all the birds. It was a very relaxing place! Everything was clean when we arrived and checking in and out was a breeze. The only thing I would suggest are some string lights on the back porch for different light options at night. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely stay here again if we ever made the trip back!
A beautiful and mostly private property nestled in the Smokies. Great views. Beautiful drive. The scenic deck faces west, so mornings are quiet and cool... but July evenings are quite warm. Watching the sun set over the Smokies is worth the trip. We were awestruck watching a slow summer thunderstorm roll over the mountains. Very simple, but wonderfully open A-frame cabin. Did the best with the space they had. Perfect spot for two. We'd never been to Gatlinburg, and found the contrast of a quiet mountain cabin and the incredibly overcrowded tourist towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to be rather stunning (one day it took us an hour to drive 7 miles), but spending most of our time reading on the over-the-tree-line deck was all we needed to unwind.
We stayed at Sweet Surrender and we called the property management company to tell them about the HOT TUB NOT Working and they said they would get someone out and they did well they told us that it needed an electrician to come out and look at it well the work order for the electrician was done the day we left which was the 15th of April . So there for we couldnât use the HOT TUB!!!! ALSO we called the property management company to tell them about the trash and we had to keep calling them until they came out and emptied the trash can out side because you can not put trash outside because of the wildlife!!!! So I would highly recommend staying at another cabin where the HoT Tub works and they are going to come by and pick trash up !!!!
The cabin was as great as it looks in pictures, the view and hot tub were amazing. Great location and easy to find (made harder in the dark but that was our fault). The cabin is unfortunately just steps (literally steps) away from new construction, contractors there from sun up to sundown on a Saturday, which made our planned quiet and serene day on the deck full of construction noise, hammering, air compressor, loud music, chatter, etc for approx 12 hours. This may not matter if you plan to be out exploring by sun up and gone most of the day. Also, the cabin is lacking what other rentals typically provide (hand soap, sufficient towels and wash rags, coffee filters, ice, etc). Be prepared to buy or bring literally everything. The cabin was otherwise beautiful, in great shape, perfect location, and without the construction would be a wonderful stay. We had no issues checking in or leaving, would stay again once the construction is over. Us parents wanted a break from noise đ
