I can't express how CLEAN, comfortable, and WELL equipped with everything that you may need..this cabin has to offer!!! The location is 5 mins from downtown Franklin and easy to navigate to surrounding areas. The mountain views are AMAZING!!!
Great view in front of my family! Franklin is a peaceful lovely town in the Great Smoky Mountains!
Linda is a very nice house owner ! She set up everything perfectly!
We will book her house next year when we come back to Franklin
Annual motorcycle trip with frinds and this cabin was great! We were all very comfortable with 5 grown men. Ms. Linda was great!greaancommunicatioawesome.
Nothing left to be desired. A great property and awesome hosts. Brought my 4 year old son and he enjoyed seeing the cows and hanging out by the creek. Will be back!
We loved the atmosphere of this beautiful cabin. It was cozy and inviting. We had a lot of fun exploring the property and admiring the cows. This location was convenient to lots of fun adventures in the Great Smokey Mountains. It was well-appointed for all of our needs. I would definitely recommend it to others!
We really enjoyed such a comfortable home, not far from Franklin. We loved sitting on the porch and just soaking in the fabulous view. The beds were super comfy and we had everything we needed! We shall return, as we love the Smokies?Blue Ridge area.
Was pitch dark with sharp turns and barbed wire fence on the driveway when we checked-in. No clear instruction that we had to go to the back of the house to enter. House was clean and rustic. Ran out of hot water while taking bath and the cold shower with 20F outside was not fun.
Unfortunately... we could only stat one night, but my family wants to go back sooooo very bad to enjoy more of the location But while there... I can say the property was gorgeous. As my daughter said... "it even includes cows" đ. The sunset was amazing and the layout was very nice. Checkout was very easy to follow and understand. When I had questions, they were answered promptly.
But lastly... it just felt like home away from home... even for just a 24 hour stay to watch my daughter graduate from Western and be surprised with a future son-in-law.
Our house/cabin was amazing. I have stayed here once before and I had to come back. The house has everything you need and then some. The upfront porch, the lower swing was my favorite. You can sit and swing and observe all the natural surroundings. Linda has information for her guest as to where to eat, shop, and find attractions for the whole family. I love this place. Itâs always clean.
We couldn't be happier with our stay at Holly Springs Hideaway. We were only there for a night, on the way to see Taylor Swift in Atlanta, but it was the perfect relaxing escape before the craziness of the weekend in ATL. We took a stroll to visit the cows and the creek and watched the sun set on the mountains from the front porch, and the next day we explored Franklin and Highlands. Grateful to have found this place and to Linda for sharing it! We will definitely be planning a trip back!
On first glance, the cabin itself and the property are beautiful. It was nicely decorated and sits on a large piece of land. Check-in was easy, though I felt that the space could have been cleaner. There was a lot of Christmas decor, which was nice. We also loved the big front porch and its beautiful view of the sunset.
This space is directly connected to where the hosts live. So if you're looking for utter privacy, I wouldn't recommend. We didn't realize this while booking.
I'd also like to note that the next to the fire pit, in a window of the garage, there is a combination American / Confederate flag displayed. We were shocked and felt very uncomfortable by this display.
This cabin was amazing, plenty of room, yet cozy enough to have family time. Every detail was thought of and the decorations for Christmas was a great bonus. Will definitely book again.
This was our second stay here. We love it- comfortable, spacious, welcoming. Love the view, the cows, birds, Franklin, beautiful leaves! We hope to return!
Our stay could not have been better. I chose this property because we were going to the Polar Express in Bryson City. Most of the accommodations there included things like gambling chips and that's just not the atmosphere I wanted. It is a wonderful place to bring children as the space to run seems endless. Inside the home is very kid friendly as well with a nice assortment of games and books. Looking forward to another visit! PS Travel time is an easy 40 minutes to Bryson City.
We had a lovely time hanging out. Wonderful open sky view of the changing leaf colors across a vista of mountains from a huge deck with comfortable seating.
There was a Hugh stack of dried cut wood for our evening fires. The fire pit has large circular logs that surrounding it. There are large comfortable rocking chairs you can âhaulâ:over to the pit. We suggest getting rid of the large logs as they impede the spaces you can put the chairs. Sitting on an upright log is not what we wanted to sit on after a day of hiking and cooking. Just sayin.
This was a gorgeous cabin to stay in and super clean. The beds were very comfortable and the views were amazing. Linda was very nice and responsive as well. Will definitely have to come back one day!
I am 57 year old living on my family property. I have taught school 15 years as a vocational teacher in Asheville NC and the later at the Job Corp in Franklin NC. While living in Asheville I was a foster parent for several years and later adopting 2 girls. I built my home when my children where growing up and found myself with a very large home and an empty nester. The home is build on my family property that has been in the family for many generations, so selling property to down size was not an option. Thus the opportunity to rent out portions of the home was a great option.
The view and the large oak tree on the property is what made me pick this location to build my home. My family also live as my neighbors on the property.
