It was perfect! The owner communicated very well and both my husband and I donât think the pictures do this property justice. Itâs so peaceful and very very clean. The first week it was him and I spending our honeymoon together, then we invited our bridal party to join us. Everyone was so impressed with the property and there wasnât a dull moment. Plenty of things to do both in and outside the house.
This property had some of the best mountain views we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing at a rental The kitchen was well stocked for our 10 night family stay and had plenty of room to spread out. The pool table was a hit for the whole family
We had a great stay here. The view from the back is amazing. The house was well supplied and had a lot of room. The basement was great with the ping pong and pool table. The owner did a good job communicating with us and was quick to respond to any questions.
If you are looking for a beautiful, clean comfortable home away from home, this rental is for your family. Lots of room, games, and still quiet privacy to read if thatâs your thing. Great home, and host. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We hopefully can return in the future.
My parents and aunts and uncle stayed for my nephews wedding at the vineyard a few minutes away. The view was beautiful and the house was charming. We had a great time!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very beautiful and quiet neighborhood in the mountains. We spent a lot of time outside on the deck enjoying the view while reading and playing games or cards. We used the outside gas grill and cooked out almost every evening meal. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean. Overall a very positive experience.
The entire family loved the house. We appreciated the above average cleanliness, lovely decor, great a/c and many amenities it offered. Itâs peaceful and spacious with a really great kitchen. We enjoyed the outdoor seating very much, as the view is amazing. We saw deer from the deck and also a small fox. Itâs located near many great hikes waterfalls, etc. Also fairly close to the Smoky Mountain National Park. We were so glad we found this house. Thanks very much.
This is a hidden jewel. The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults and one 4yo. The view is amazing. The kitchen well stocked which means a lot because we actual cook a lot. I hope to be able to return again one day and will definitely suggest to friends.
The house was amazing. The view was even better. Itâs so peaceful at night on the deck while having coffee and to watch the fog lift up out of the valley below in the morning. We stayed at the house most of the time and we had a great time. I would recommend this place to anyone.
This property is great for entertaining with family. There's something for all ages! The driveway is a little tricky but nothing to be scared of. It's paved and smooth. The owners were so nice! Can't wait to book it again! If you're thinking of booking, do it, you won't regret this one.
This is the second time we have stayed at this home when we bringing our friends here in hunt for Rubies & Sapphires. The house is always ready , clean, and the view is awesome. There was s plenty of room for everyone. Thanks for sharing your home with us again.
This cabin is as beautiful as it's VRBO description suggests. Cabin is very well maintained inside without being fussy. The deck view is FANTASTIC!! The only disadvantage is that nearest hikes are 30 minutes or more drive from the cabin (there are closer unremarkable walks in village of Franklin).. But the waterfalls in the Highland-Cadhiers area and in the Smokys are spectacular.
This property is priceless. Comfortable and relaxing with lovely finishes. The kitchen has everything you need. The game room was a hit with our younger guests. And the upstairs tv and sitting area was cozy and enjoyable. The driveway was a little intimidating, at first, but a mid-sized SUV and large Dodge truck made it in and out several times without mishap, entering nose first or backing in. And the view is definitely a little bit of heaven!
Beautiful view, beautiful house. Mornings were wonderful watching the fog move in and out of the mountains. Evenings and nights on the deck were so peaceful. The house is extremely clean and has many enhancements but we didn't spend much time indoors because the deck was so pleasant ,day and night. The location is outstanding, gated, secluded community and close to many waterfalls, towns and other sites.
Your place is very nice and clean and the view of the mountains is amazing.
The house is equipped with everything you need and more from nice towels to plenty of plates and silverware, salt, sugar, syrup, etc. It is 10 minutes to the supermarket and there are plenty of waterfalls and walking trails within a short drive. We loved water tubing at Deep Creek with the kids.
Nancy is a great host and answers all of your questions and concerns very quickly. I do have to mention that getting into the driveway requires some driving skills and nerves but my 80+yr old mother-in-Law was able to master it after a couple of times.
I would highly recommed this place to any family with kids or teenagers. They also enjoyed the ping pong and pool tables.
House was amazing! Teenagers loved the surround sound stereo throughout the house. pool table and ping pong. Everything was clean and well stocked. Porch view was beautiful!! We went horse back riding, zip-line and gem mining all which were within about 30 minutes from the house. Thank you Nancy for sharing your amazing house with us. As for reviews worried about the drive way.. we have a full size crew cab 2500 Ram and we chose to back down and back up and it worked perfect for us. Amazing place⊠and Nancy responds quickly if needed.
Two couples stayed at "A Little Bit of Heaven" 10-20-12 through 10-24-12. The colors in the leaves were beautiful at this time. We could hardly believe the view from the front deck which overlooked beautiful mountains and the valley below. The picture barely does it justice. The trees around the place were changing beautifully, also. The street in front was narrow, but there was very little traffic, and it made such a nice place to take walks and make pictures. You had to pull in, back up, and then pull down the driveway, but we had no trouble in our car. There was room for 13 using the couches in two sitting rooms and the basement. There was only four of us, and we had plenty of room in the bedrooms. There was a bath on each floor. The kitchen was nice for cooking, and we grilled on the gas grill outside one night. I got up in the middle of the night and watched the stars, and saw some shooting stars. About 4 a.m. the sky was so dark and the stars were bright, like diamonds on black velvet. The mornings usually had fog in the valley areas, but clear where we were. The fog looked like lakes around the mountains--so beautiful!!! One day we watched the fog as it slowly made its way down the mountain to the valley below us. I thought it looked like the dam had broken and the water had filled the valley below and covered up the farmhouse. It was an amazing stay and we would definitely go back again. Nancy and her husband would answer our calls and questions when we had them. Very nice people. Good library in the home. One TV that we wished were bigger, but we did get to see the Alabama game on it.
Beautiful home with an amazing view! Most activities were within a 30 minute drive. Plenty of room for oru party of 9! Would love to return in the fall to see the trees changing colors!
In the late 70's we helped our parents build their first NC Mountain home in Robinsville. After my father-in-law passed away we encouraged Mom to sell the Robinsiville home. It only took us a few years to realize how much we missed the beautiful NC Mountains. We decided that we were always taking day trips from remote Robinsville to Franklin where it seemed everything was happening. It only made sense to build the next house in the beautiful quaint town of Franklin. We took the plans from the original house and expanded it and made it a true NC home. We designed it to accommodate our own family reunions. There is plenty of space for the whole gang and lots to do right at the house or in the surrounding area. Our view will knock your socks off and secluded enough that you feel like you are the only ones on the mountain. We never intended to rent our home so this home is a little nicer than most, with Corian counter tops and upgraded appliances. We decided to share it with others as it was a shame to not have it used until we can be up there full time.
Our favorite activities at our 'Little Bit of Heaven' is: Eating meals out on the deck and watching the sun set. Taking walks after dinner on the quiet road in front of the house.
I love challenging what ever guests or family to a game of pool in the evening. I must say my personal favorite is to wait until everyone has gone to bed and sit out on the deck and watch the lights of the town of Franklin. It is so quiet and the solitude is indescribable!!
We also like going to 'Picking on the Square' on Saturday nights in Franklin. We love going white water rafting on the Nantahala. Our goal is to learn to Fly Fish in the local streams. We also like finding new places to hike and my personal favorite is to photograph all the cool waterfalls in the area.
