This property was easy to find and upon arrival noticed very well kept. Easy private entry using door code. Very clean and artistic. Loved looking at the books and son enjoyed looking at the cars. Will definitely choose to stay here again. Thanks so much for such a wonderful stay!
An entire wall of books greets you when you walk in. I think I stared at it for a solid minute when I got there. The property is wonderfully quiet and warm and welcoming. Because I was there in the winter I didnât get a huge chance to use the courtyard, but it would be the perfect place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee!
The studio apartment was as described and suited my needs for a week long work trip to the area. The hot tub was a perk at night.
Total first world problem, but the pillows were pretty hammered on the bed. That was really my only issue with my stay.
The cozy studio apartment was excellent. It was very clean, and quiet. We loved sitting out in the courtyard and having a drink before dinner. We purposely rented a studio with the kitchenette so we could cook there. Unfortunately, there were no pots or pans, but we were able to make do with a microwave. I would definitely stay there again if I ever came to Fairbanks again!
Good location. You feel like your out of town but close to Fairbanks and North Pole. Much better route to Chena Hotsprings from property. Enjoyed my stay.
My husband and I came for a golf weekend in Fairbanks. The rental is clean and comfortable. It's outside of Fairbanks, but the drive into town is quick. Very quick access to Badger Gate if you want to access Fort Wainwright. Fairbanks can be quite warm; there is a fan which helps.
Everything was as advertised.
The room is wonderful, the hot tub was amazing. It is a secluded property, very private, quiet and far enough from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to everything at the same time.
The town of North Pole is about 10min away, and the Hot Springs is an hour and a half with many beautiful places to stop along the way for viewing, fishing, etc.
The hosts are great people and we will stay again.
The location was quiet and perfect for relaxing in the hot tub watching the Northern Lights. The accommodations were clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for being away from the city but still close enough to get anywhere you wanted to go.
My partner and I spent a long weekend here in late August and had a splendid time. The hot tub was the correct level of toasty. Instructions from the hosts were accurate and check-in and out was a breeze. I look forward to stay with them again for my next Fairbanks trip.
Visited Fairbanks for a couple of days, and rented this lovely "cabin". It was much more than I had imagined. The amenities, the cleanliness, the overall setting... exquisite and perfect! Bypassed the outside hot tub on account of the weather; however, grabbed a good book, put epsom salts in the bathroom tub, and VOILA!
Terry and Anne were exceptionally courteous and welcoming. Will definitely book again on next visit to Fairbanks.
My family and I enjoyed our stay! It was out of the city and off the beaten path, which we absolutely loved. The space was perfect for what we needed and we kept very clean. Watching the northern lights from the hot tub was special experience as well. We would definitely book here again!
The property was great and everything was clean and thought out for us as guest. We were not too far from anything we wanted to do in Fairbanks, the hot springs, or even in North Pole.
To start this out I normally donât leave reviews like this and a majority of it probably would have been over looked. My main issue was my check in. Check in time was 4 pm and up until then I hadnât heard from the property owner so I shot them a message 20 mins before leaving the restaurant I was at with 20 min drive. As we got closer to the property there was still no response so I called twice and sent a text message to the same phone number, no response. I ended up getting on the phone with Vrbo and spent 45 mins while sitting in the driveway of the property getting transferred to various agents to help me, after 45 mins I finally received a message to access the property giving me the door code and such. We decided to stay as we had been driving all day. There was a lot of lint on the mirrors and the pillows had a little bit of staining, the over all cleanliness was what you would expect at a cheap hotel honestly. The hot tub was nice although the second night there the blinds to the door upstairs was half opened showing through to the main house and made relaxing a little uneasy. The first night we were there we also woke up to someone walking upstairs that was extremely heavy footed at 11pm at night. It was a very awkward stay with the series of events and I hope that it was a one off for what itâs worth but I felt I should give an honest review. Thank you for allowing us to utilize your unit but I hope this doesnât happen to someone else and again had there not been a major issue with check in I probably wouldnât have had much to say on here.
Terry is a private residential energy and building consultant. A 45 year resident of Fairbanks, Terry has traveled all over Alaska and has knowledge of where to go and what to do in the Fairbanks/North Pole area.
This property was built in 2006 with this studio apartment designed for short term stays. It has been soundproofed from the rest of the house to provide privacy for anyone who stays. With the advent of VRBO it seemed like a great fit for travelers who want to have a private residential type accommodation.
With a high ceiling and radiant floor heat you can feel like you have space that has no drafts in the winter. In the summer you can open your door onto a walled courtyard full of flowers for your exclusive enjoyment; a great place for morning coffee or an evening drink. Convenient to both Fairbanks and North Pole.
