If you are planning a visit to Zion and Bryce, this is a great location. If planning on hiking the Narrows or Angelâs Landing you will Certainly appreciate the hot tub - one of the best we have taken in after a long day of hiking. Quiet area. Great view of the stars at night.

A great spot which needs attention
We were disappointed that a place so beautiful and at this price point has many many issues Was not ready when we showed up. No glassware. Pots and pans dirty. Vents dirty. Light flickered. Toilet kept running. Coffee maker took 40 minutes to brew. It has so much potential, but has been neglected.
Excellent location for visiting both Zion and Bryce. House was clean and as described. Cookware was in bad condition and dinnerware was as well. Definitely needs updated for a house at this price point. Beds are very close to the floor which isn't ideal dependent of who is traveling with you. Hot tub was great and overall worth the stay.
Great location if you're splitting time between Zion and Bryce. Hot tub is great. Sparse furnishings, and this may sound silly, but some glassware (rather than plastic) would be nice for a higher end property.
This home was nicely located halfway between Zion and Bryce National Parks. The scenery and solitude were welcome after days at the parks. The home was equipped with everything you need for your stay. Bedroom mattresses were extremely comfortable. The listing states it sleeps 9, however the pullout couch was broken and beds are really only for 6. Owners were very responsive to all inquiries and Iâd recommend staying in the property if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful stay.
We stayed for 3 nights, and it was a great spot for a family of 4 while visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon NP. The house is easy to find, especially if you are traveling in to Glendale from the north.
Glendale does not have much in terms of services. The General Store closes at 6 or 7pm (and doesn't open until 8:30am), so if you need any supplies, you need to bring them or prepare to drive to Orderville or Mt. Carmel (10 -15 minutes down the road). The best local food option IMO is Archie's Food Truck, which closes at 8pm. Otherwise, your best bets are in Springdale after visiting Zion or in Tropic after visiting Bryce Canyon, or driving to Kanab (30 mins). We opted for early dinners in Springdale after visiting Zion and a late lunch in Tropic after Bryce Canyon.
There are not a lot of other options for families between Zion and Bryce Canyon.
Our favorite activities...
- Canyon Overloook Trail hike in Zion
- Narrows hike in Zion
- Coral Pink Dunes State Park ATV Tour
- Bryce Canyon Trail Ride
Absolutely perfect!! Great location to travel to Zion, Bryce, and North rim of the Grand Canyon. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!!!!
We were disappointed in this stay. The place was not clean, couches were stained as were many of the towels. Lightbulbs went out and the grill was falling apart. The kitchen had only one non-plastic glass and not enough silverware. And, if you want a 2 bedroom, this isnât it. Itâs a one bedroom with a loft.
The proximity to Zion and Bryce was great, directly in between. There are no restaurants or grocery stores nearby, so be aware.
Apple Hollow is a sweet little apple orchard with 5 little houses and a larger house on the property. The location was fabulous. The house was comfortable. It was a little chilly but we did stay in February. The hot tube was great to sit in after a day of hiking or siteseeing. There was so much to see! We would stay there again!
The location of this house was absolutely perfect. Sitting on a beautiful apple orchard overlooking the hills. We had a great time outside sitting in front of the fire. The jacuzzi was a nice touch to end the night after a day hiking. The location is perfect for day trips to Bryce, Zion, Kanab/lake Powell. The sunlight was great for us but if you are going in the summer I imagine the brightness and heat would be strong because of all the large windows.
The owners were very responsive!
The upstairs fire pit was not working during our stay (we really didnât need it though for our group).
Perfect location as house is surrounded by mountains, fields, and horses. Ample room for the four of usâtwo adults and two teenagers. Less than an hour away from Bryce, Zion, Cedar Breaks, Peekaboo Slot Canyon, Kanab., and nice little surprise stops in between such as Best Friends Sanctuary and Moqui Cave. Would definitely stay there again!
We had a great place for our hiking days in Zion and Bryce. Very relaxing location. Easy to get to both with a little driving. Perfect accommodations for a family of 6.
We loved the house at Apple Hollow! I picked the location because of its proximity to Zion and Bryce Canyon. Had the Zion-Mt. Carmel road not washed out prior to our arrival, it would have been an A++. The house was a perfect size for our family of 6 with 4 daughters aged 18-25 (WiFi certainly kept up with all their needs!). It is an open concept with 2 queen size beds in a loft. New construction with very clean modern interior. Hot tub was great after hiking and the views from the living room are awesome. The upstairs porch was also a really nice space with a fire pit. Very quiet surroundings. Kitchen had everything we needed. We loved it!
