La maison "Big Game" de O. P.Taylor.

Belle maison ancienne à 4 pùtés de maisons de la ville entiÚrement rénovée en 2018. Trois chambres à coucher, salle de bains principale et portes coulissantes en verre menant à une grande terrasse et un bain à remous pour 8 personnes. La chambre n ° 2 a un lit double 3/4 et une chambre avec lits jumeaux, la chambre n ° 3 a une paire de lits jumeaux. Toute la literie est composée des nouveaux matelas cinq étoiles Jameson Marriott. Les deux chambres partagent une belle salle de bain carrelée. La taniÚre a un canapé-lit en taille réelle pour débordement, ou les enfants qui veulent rester éveillés tard et regarder un film sur Netflix ou de notre vidéothÚque. La maison est proche du centre musical et à seulement 4 pùtés de maisons du centre-ville. Vous pourrez ainsi vous rendre à pied aux excellents restaurants, magasins et brasseries.

We all loved this house! The back deck was a great size and shaded by trees in the afternoon. The location in regards to Brevard was fantastic - everything was so accessible. The neighborhood was quiet - met the backyard neighbor through our dogs checking each other out! (Loved the fenced yard!)As the owner mentioned, the kitchen was super well stocked and organized. Everything was as advertised plus!

The house is fabulous. One of the main reasons I booked this place was because the owners have an impeccable reputation. I knew it would be a great place to stay, and it didn’t disappoint.The home was completely equipped with everything you need. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Hot tub was wonderful. Backyard fully fenced for our sweet little furbaby. Nice neighborhood, great walking, and close to everything. Can’t imagine finding a better place to stay. We will definitely be back to this gem of a vacation rental.

So convenient for our activities at Brevard College. Easy walk to anything downtown and one of the best parts is sitting outside listening to music from King Street.

Wonderful house, location

The 'Big Game' house is just about perfect. The kitchen is better equipped than our kitchen at home, the beds seemed more comfortable. House located in quiet neighborhood with deck and yard for sitting and relaxing, but plenty of games available inside for rainy days. Pefect location; easy walk into town, quick access to hiking, biking. Host has done a great job setting this place up for a comfortable stay.

Looking forward to our next stay!

The house is centrally located within easy walking distance to downtown and the Lumber Arts District, home to a brewery and restaurants. Pisgah National Forest and Du Pont State Park is only a short drive away. The house has been nicely renovated, and was clean and well stocked. We found the beds very comfortable. The internet was a little slow but was useable. The only small thing I would recommend to the host, is to change the curtains in the bedrooms to blackout ones. We would definitely stay there again.

The house is cozy and well appointed. It has everything you could need. Packed with games for the family and a hot tub. The back yard is alive with nature and when has a white squirrel! The owners are very responsive and make you feel welcome. Overall wonderful

Very enjoyable

My family stayed here for a few nights while we visited Brevard. The kids loved the hot tub and ping pong table. I enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen and laundry room. Also, my husband and I enjoyed our morning strolls into town to get a pastry at the bakery downtown. John was kind enough to get the house ready a day early for us when our plans changed, and he communicates very quickly.

Our go-to lodging in Brevard

We have been to O.P.'s numerous times and it never disappoints. The location couldn't be better, and we love being able to walk into town and also be minutes away from Pisgah National Forest. The addition of the bike barn was great, since we often bring our bikes. Lovely evenings out at the firepit, and beautiful fall days enjoying this wonderful town. The hosts are exceptionally friendly and quick to respond to any questions or issues. Many thanks for another wonderful getaway!

Fun place to spend time as a family!

We had traveled to Brevard to MTB and explore the outdoors, unfortunately mother nature had other ideas... Hit by a tropical storm we could not get out and play like we wanted. Fortunately OP Taylor had us taken care of with tons of games and activities in the house. Washer and dryer to clean our soaked clothes etc. We would love to come back and spend some time when the weather is better. Thanks for a great time in not so great weather!

Perfect family house

Don’t overthink your packing! This house has everything you would need for a stay away from your own (and then some!). You really only need your clothes and your groceries. We truly felt we were spending the week at a friend’s house... John and Susie are great hosts! Whether you have older kids or younger kids, the house is stocked with lots of fun entertainment, inside and out. We also strolled/biked/scootered around the neighborhood and to downtown many times. Not to mention, it is a short drive to so many adventures! Loved our time at the big game house ... and in Brevard, in general. And as usual, we can’t wait for our next time there!

This was a nice place in a quiet neighborhood. It was very close to downtown Brevard, where you can easily walk and not have to worry about parking.It is an older-style home with a lot of separate rooms, which is fine. It has plenty of sleeping space for six people - maybe a couple more if the listing allows.The hot tub is in a good location on the deck where you can just walk into the tub. Be careful on the step down but it is safe with a little balance. It is perfect for the cool nights in the mountains. The night sky is great while sitting in the tub.The downtown sounds at night are somewhat peaceful. They aren't too loud where it is disturbing, but far enough away where it is good background sound. We never got to meet the owners, but they own the popular toy store on the corner of downtown. They are super friendly and accommodating. They had arrival gifts for us which was a pleasant surprise. They made our weekend in Brevard very nice and we would definitely stay at this place again.

We loved staying at this house! The location is walking distance to downtown, the large fenced in yard was great for our two dogs, the rooms were cozy and very comfortable, the kitchen is stocked with everything we could ever need, the bed we slept in was comfortable with nice linens, the game room had so many fun games to fill our down time, the hot tub on the deck locked very inviting, the complementary bottle of wine and six pack of beer were a very nice touch to our awesome stay! There was so much to do just in the house alone, one wouldn’t have to leave at all. We will be back!!!

Far and away exceeded our expectations! House was pristine upon arrival, with some welcoming beers in the fridge and a bottle of wine on the counter for us. Everything has been thought through carefully — plenty of towels out, info on area attractions and restaurants, labels for switches, an amazing assortment of games and puzzles (not surprising once we realized owner also is the owner of the wonderful O.P. Taylor toy store in Brevard, always a must stop). The whole house is comfortable, and you immediately feel at home. Hot tub was especially nice! John responded quickly to messages. We will definitely be back to stay at The Big Game house!

My wife Susie and I have been buying, renting and selling real estate for years, after renting a VRBO in Maine last year we thought that this house would make a perfect short term rental. O.P.Taylor's "Big Game" house became available after a year long remodel we think you will love it?

My my my! Wow...just wow. We've rented dozens of vrbo's over the years and I have to say your rental "first impression" knocks it out of the park! The welcoming lights on, the little notes here and there, the wine and beer...such nice, top-notch touches. Thank you so much for all you've done to make us feel so very comfortable and welcome 😊

The house is within walking distance of downtown Brevard and the world famous Brevard Music Center. It is also a short bike ride to the Bracken Mountain Trail, a challenging ride for any level of mountain biker.
Although the house is located close to the action, it is nestled in a very quiet residential neighborhood.
Brevard has so much to offer any visitor, from 200 waterfalls, thousands of miles of hiking and biking trails, the Brevard Music Center, square dancing in the street, lots of excellent restaurants and breweries, you will be so busy you will wonder why we bothered to put TV's in the house!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The plan on this house is to give it to our daughter when she gets married. That doesn't look like it is going to happen anytime soon, so we are listing on VRBO.The care and love that went into restoring and modernizing this house will be obvious to anyone that sees it, we want our daughter to have a home that will last a lifetime!
