Sweaty Palms was a perfect little home for an anniversary getaway! It was in a great location just steps from Red Bar and the beach. It had an awesome enclosed front porch which we enjoyed each night after a day on the beach. We loved our stay in Grayton Beach and we look forward to coming back soon!
We loved the Sweaty Palms cottage because of the price, the front porch and the location. Steps from the beach and Chiringoâs restaurant, Sweaty Palms is a steal.
Such a great property in Old Grayton! The house was so close to the beach, Red Bar, Chiringos, etc. the property is well maintained and the porch on the front and back was lovely! Wonderful stay and we will be back next year.
This is our 3rd time staying at Sweaty Palms and again we had a great week! This little cottage is perfect for my husband and I to stay, along with our toddler. We love having coffee on the screened porch in the mornings and the close access to the beach is great. We will be back next summer!

Fantastic stay at Sweaty Palms
This was a fabulous vacation house for two teenage girls and their dad. Only a 150 steps to the beach and 62 steps to a fantastic restaurant/bar. Grayton Beach is close enough to visit Seaside and Santa Rosa but without all of the traffic and congestion. It could not have been more relaxing. I will certainly stay here again.
I was there with three girlfriends and we had a ball...close to everything by foot or by car. Wonderful restaurants and shopping...beach was glorious and the house is perfect. It's small, but perfectly laid out and spotlessly clean.
I am a repeat guest and will be booking again in the future.
Sweaty Palms is part of what makes Grayton so special. The 1970âs fishing village is our favorite part of Grayton. Itâs like a step back in time with modern convinces mixed in. The location couldnât be better! Steps away from Chiringoâs, Red Bar, zoo Gallery and the worldâs most perfect beach! We canât wait to return!
This place was absolutely darling and perfect for just the two of us. We were within walking distance to the Beach, Chiringos, and Red Bar. The Front Screened In Porch was perfect for Morning Coffee & Pastries from Black Bear Bakery also within walking Distance or you can use the Shuttle. The House kept nice and cool and on a hot summer day we were thankful our car had a shady place to park. Definitely booking this place again. We loved it!
A few things to mention: there needs to be a better mattress in the main bedroom, a handrail to get up the front steps - and they were tearing down a building across the street - each day starting at 7 am with dump trucks, an excavator, etc. No sleeping in or taking a nap!
Best part of our stay was location. So close to the shore and nearby shops Recommend Hurricane Grill! House was very clean and well equipped. Great shower! Noticed a droning sound on and off from second bedroom. Maybe some kind of pump? Could use a good drain stopper.
The house was efficient. Kitchen was well stocked with all varieties of kitchen paraphernalia to create a simple or extravagant meal.
Could use an entry light over the keypad.
The management of this property is awesome making checking in and out a breeze.
Staying at Sweaty Palms is like going back in time. The one-level cottage with the large screened-in porch is set back from the road and feels like haven amidst the tall condos surrounding it. The palm trees and other foliage make it feel private and cozy. The decor was very pleasant. Bed was comfy. Couch and chairs could be improved. Fun to read guest book comments dating back to 1984. Very close to Red Bar (our favorite) and beach. Nice to be able to do laundry during our stay. Would love to stay there again.
We had a very relaxing stay at Sweaty Palms, we will remember it forever. I couldn't think of a better location to tackle the 30a. It was just such a great home base for us, we loved walking to the Red Bar and Chiringo's. Just so much charm in that area, watching the sun set over the gulf.
Only a couple minor complaints about our stay. At some point someone parked in our driveway, I'm assuming because of the close walking distance to Chiringo's, and so we parked behind them. It was a sad distraction from our trip as they ended up driving through the front yard to exit, hopefully hurting their car.
Also, this is noted in the listing, but they only supply one roll of TP, so if you are staying longer, or have lots of butts, that can be problematic. Its just short on the extras that I'm used to for lots of rentals. No spices, or salts/pepper to cook with, so if you're going to use the kitchen you end up on your own. Same with the laundry, better go buy some soap. I supposed they don't have to provide that, but you have weary travelers, it would be good to have some level of small amenities like that.
But overall, knowing those things now, we would stay again. It was lovely and we had a great time.
Sweaty Palms is very nice. Not fancy but exactly what I wanted. Small, clean, and apparently sturdy as my friends and I were there for hurricane Sally. No problems at all even the electricity stayed on. Close walk to beach and "downtown" Grayton Beach. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
