A group of us Marines have been having reunions for more than 10 years now out of the more than 30 years weâve been together. This year was the Ohio stay and we had an amazing time, the cabin was better than described. Clean, organized, and fun, wood was available and the hot tub was clean. Highly recommend
A group of 10 of us stayed for NYE, it was a bit tight to have four adults in the loft but it worked fine for us. The cabin looks even better in person than in the photos. Tucked in a beautiful road where it felt quiet and serene. Hot tub was fantastic and the property was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with all the essential cookware and plenty of dishes. The team was incredibly responsive and made modifications to our booking when asked, and answered questions very quickly. Would highly recommend!
Lots of features, loved the game room, hot tub and fully screened porch with porch swing. Incline of property and drive would bit be elder or toddler friendly, but fine for everyone else. We would definitely come back!
Mockingbird is a beautiful and spacious cabin with lots of amenities. We had a wonderful family retreat with 3 generations and were able tl bring our fur babies as well. The kids loved the game room and the adults enjoyed the quiet screened in overlook on the main floor as well as the screened patio with the hot tub. Thanks for the space to make new memories with our family.
Excellent. We used the hot tub Friday evening, but on Saturday evening when we went to use it, the water had cooled off and we did not use it again. Not sure if it needed turned up or what but it never heated back up after Friday.
We really enjoyed Mockingbird Cabin. The weather was poor so we spent more time indoors than expected. The ping pong table and video game on the lower level really came in handy! We loved sitting on the swing on the screened in back porch and watching the wild turkeys and red-headed woodpeckers! The hosts were wonderful and helpful. We will come back again!
Overall the property was okay. Weâve stayed at multiple locations over the years. The place seemed dusty and I felt I needed to clean a little when we got there. The location was further from the hiking trails than were used to. Overall, I enjoyed the time I spent there with my family.
Clean. Well-appointed kitchen. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Unfortunately, the bottom level had no heat. Bottom level also had overpowering smell like a leach bed for a septic system!
The cabin was deceiving from the front. It looked small. But what a surprise when we got inside! It was large and open with plenty of room for six of us. Very clean and up to date. The screened porch overlooking the treed valley was a nice place to relax.
The only downside to this property was the drive in & out. The road off the main highway is one lane, with very little or no room to pull over for oncoming cars. And itâs not a short drive! It was a bit of a white-knuckle trip every time we went in or out.
The stay was wonderful! the only problem was getting code to get in cabin. We called several times with no answer also messaged an hour before we got there and no response. I know it was my fault I used my work email but I did not receive the email I had coworkers checking email for me and did not get it in spam or junk mail either. Vrbo was great they were willing to pay for hotel if we could not get in but we did not want too we wanted cabin so in the end everything worked out
Beautiful, clean and spacious cabin but far away from Hocking Hills
This is truly a wonderful cabin. It is well made and has many wonderful amenities. Everything worked wonderfully and our family made great memories. The hot tub, screened porch, gaming table and ping pong table were highlights.
The reason I gave this place a 3 star rating is because I believe the property description is not accurate. The title says Hocking Hills area, the name of the owners is Hocking Hills Premier Cabins but this cabin is quite far from the famous hiking spots og Hiking Hills. It is a 30 min drive to Old Man's Cave and it's on winding and very narrow roads in the town of Sugar Grove. We needed milk and toilet paper and there are not convenience stores anywhere close. Restaurants are about 20 min away. We got very tired of the drive to the Hocking Hills State Park and many kids became car sick.
Also, the listing does not state this but there is an extra fee per night per guest. The listed price was reasonable but after cleaning, service and guest fees for every guest per night, the nightly rate was excessive in my opinion.
If this cabin was actually in the Hocking Hills area, would definitely stay here again but sadly, it's a very inconvenient location and it's hard to tell from the listing. I wish I had a better understanding of this prior to booking.
