A gorgeous place for a relaxing and cozy getaway. Great hiking in the area and Two Harbors is a delightful little town. The home is well stocked, clean, and comfortable. We look forward to staying again.
We found the Cozy Lakehome Retreat very comfortable, clean, well furnished, spacious for two persons, and in a tremendous location for the activities we had planned. We would certainly consider coming back and staying here if we are in the area.
Moose-loving North Shore getaway. Everything spotless, everything worked. Listened to the lake as we hoped. Would gladly return especially in better weather!
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
I asked specifically if there was AC MONTHS in advance. The host told me there was AC. I had booked this unit for my wedding. Fast forward, there was no AC (not broken, just not existing). He told me it was a mistake and that heâd confused it with a different property he has that does have AC. I was unable to have my âgetting readyâ wedding pics in the cabin because it was so uncomfortably hot and humid. I had to get ready in one of my guestâs accommodations instead. Afterwards, we agree upon a reimbursement for the mishap. I still havenât received it. I contacted VRBO to be sure I was protected by notifying them within enough time. Apparently that was the wrong thing to do as it resulted in angry messages from the host because âI shouldnât have involved VRBO.â Iâm sad that this man tainted my wedding. I donât deserve to be spoken to with such anger and disrespect for following the protocol. If I wasnât expecting AC and never had to communicate with the host, Iâd have left a normal review. But, I was (because I was specifically told there would be) and I did. The level of unprofessionalism in the way he speaks to his guests is upsetting. Unrelated and could be ignored given a better experience, but the living room smelled like cat urine (my husband said it was âmustyâ but that was what it reminded me of). My family had a much better stay in a neighboring unit. Iâd stay elsewhere at Superior Shores, not with this host.
It was a beautiful cabin in the perfect location! I even found a small cave right along the rocks outside the cabin. It was quiet and close to town and all the attractions we wanted to see! We will absolutely be back!!!
We stayed here for a weekend getaway to Two Harbors and North Shore area, and were so happy that we chose this as our home base! It is super close to Two Harbors, but was also close to our hike at Split Rock Lighthouse. We were very impressed with how clean and cozy the space was. Would definitely stay again!
This was a terrific surprise when we opened up the door to find ourselves transformed into a cabin with all the knotty pine floors, woodwork, furniture and decor!
We were in an end unit in a private townhouse development in the woods (with access to waterfront located on a flood bay of Lake Superior) so the setting was truly peaceful.
As it was November, we were probably one of few visitors staying at the town homes in this development.
More than likely it bustles with activity in the warmer months.
The size was perfect for 2 adults, with a small kitchenette, full dining table, 2 sitting areas, a large bedroom and full bath. There was a beautiful handpainted mural with birch trees in the bathroom, and at every turn the decor was reminiscent of a wooded retreat.
There was also a wood-burning fireplace which we didn't get to use, but this trip was perfect for a central location for accessing 4 of the nearby MN state parks as part of the statewide Hiking Club.
We would love to return in the winter months and try snowshoeing and even snowmobiling in the area.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful place!
