We had such a wonderful stay! The 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, the amenities were fantastic, and everything was exactly as described. Check-in and check-out were incredibly easy and seamless, which made the whole experience even better. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to come back!

Bottom floor of a 2 story house on the Grandview Hotel campus. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub—like staying at the hotel with way more space. Beautiful view over lake, town and mountains. Nice to be able to walk into town but stay some place quieter. Rental is very comfortable. Minor negatives: kitchen is only OK in terms of how it is equipped, especially if you actually want to cook for a larger group and there’s only a limited supply of dishwasher detergent and other basics. They do tell you that ahead of time fortunately.

Perfect place to stay for our family get away. Walkable to town/olympic center and central location for all other activities we did (Whiteface Mt, High Falls Gorge, Saranac lake, the Wild Center, etc). Enjoyed our stay and had all the amenities we needed! Access to hotel pool and private beach with kayaks was a huge plus!

Adirondack Get Away!

We were delighted with the property! Great view, incredible space and sparkling clean! An added bonus was access to the hotel pool, the family so enjoyed the time splashing around after a day of exploring.

Christmas 2022 five night stay for large family

Perfect accommodations for us with five adult sized kids and our dog. Superb location, easy check in and out, enjoyed the fitness center at the crown plaza just steps away. Spotless bathrooms, plenty of room and beautiful views. We would like to return to the same place again someday.

Better than the pics show!

Great stay at the wonderful property. Clean and cozy. Just know you are renting at the top of a large hill and walking to town is fine (down hill)...walking home is a challenge!!

Perfect for our family!

This property was perfect for our family. Each couple had a bedroom & a bath! Large open living/dining area with kitchen. Beautiful deck with a gorgeous view. Actually better in person than seen in the listing. Great location and access to the Crown Plaza. Will definitely stay here again!

Easter weekend in Lake Placid

Really great rental property with amazing views out over the village of Lake Placid, Mirror Lake and the Adirondacks. Large square footage, very clean and well equipped. The property also has a large attached deck…also with amazing views. Another great bonus is access to the facilities of the Crown Plaza Lake Placid that is literally right across the road.

Spacious Property

Large spacious house. Wonderful view of mountains from the deck. Liked white bed linens and towels everywhere. Washer and dryer, hairdryers and tea kettle very useful. Access to hotel pool across the road and to a small beach area on the lake (with kayaks) a bonus. Both these areas had towels provided.

Beautiful Views

Veranda is a two unit property, one level up and one down. We stayed on the down level and suffered somewhat from the randomness of the people staying above us. This converted house is not ready for child(ren) running nonstop on the upper floor. Once that family departed, peace reigned eternal. Great location, very near to Main Street and Olympic sites, though with a heart-challenging hill. Comfortable space but window A/C units struggle to keep up with the humid (not hot) conditions present while we were there. We recommend it while visiting Lake Placid.

Beautiful & Spacious

This is a gorgeous veranda with SO much space! It is HUGE and well-stocked with lots of hotel towels, washcloths & bedding. The kitchen is updated, with granite countertops and a huge fridge. There is a large laundry room with a very nice-quality washer & dryer (not the stackable type that is often found in rental condos). There is a gorgeous porch with an 8-person table, four Adirondack chairs, and a breath-taking view. This veranda is a part of the Crown Plaza property, which allows guests to utilize the hotel's private beach, pool, workout room, etc. The beach has a small dock that the kids can swim to and jump off of. The beach also has kayaks to take out and there is a lifeguard on property. The only negative comment I would make is that there weren't any TV's or alarm-clocks in the bedrooms. There is one TV in the "living room", but that's it. On vacation we usually set the sleep timer on the TV in the bedrooms for our kids to fall asleep. Not a huge deal.
