North Pine Cottage # 1

Bienvenue à North Pine Cottage! Notre chalet NEUF ouvrira ses portes au printemps 2019! Le plan d'étage ouvert comprend une belle cuisine, salle à manger et salle familiale donnant sur le magnifique lac North Long! Nous accueillons plusieurs familles à partir de 14 ans. Nous avons 2 chambres de maître à l'étage principal, chacune avec leur propre salle de bain privée. Le deuxième niveau comprend deux chambres avec lits superposés pouvant accueillir 10 personnes et un salon. Venez profiter de 230 pieds de rivage de sable privé qui est de 2 à 3 pieds de sable qui s'étire sur 150 pieds. Un très beau niveau. Le chalet est à 75 pieds de la rive du lac! Parfait pour les nuits d'été assis autour du feu au bord du lac. Nous sommes situés entre Brainerd et Nisswa pour tous vos besoins en matière de shopping et de divertissement. Faites vos valises et venez vous détendre !!!

Family Vacation

Great house and lake lot for our annual family vacation. The room set up was perfect for adults and kids. The lake had some great sandbars for easy swimming! Would love to go back. Owners were very nice and easy to communicate with.

Large beautiful, clean and spacious property. The hosts were excellent. They were quick to answer any questions. The large kitchen was well equipped with high end appliances. We loved playing in the lake with its sandy shallow bottom. It was great for young children. We enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking. The lake is a great fishing lake.

North Pine Cottage was amazing!! The pictures do not even capture all the beauty of the property. Stunning inside and out. Our family had such a wonderful vacation and didn’t want to leave. Arby and Eric were wonderful to work with. We rented both the cottage and the guesthouse, and would highly recommend it. Both cottages are well supplied and very well maintained. The yard is beautiful and we used the fire pit most evenings after a day on the water. I highly recommend North Pine Cottage.

The home is designed with a wonderful open kitchen/living/dining area. The huge island in the kitchen was great for gathering, eating, and one night we had a really fun Bingo game there. We had a really fun week.

Lucked out with this incredible spot!!

This spot exceeded our expectations!! It was on such a beautiful lake, the house itself was updated, kitchen stocked, whole house was spotless, flat maintained lawn for yard games,!and all the beds were extremely comfortable. I cannot say enough great things about this property or the hosts! They were so communicative and kind. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The entire house and property were pristine. We weren't able to enjoy it all as much as we wanted to because we were in town for work and worked long hours but we enjoyed it while we were there.

This was an absolutely beautiful and extremely clean lake home. Several family rooms and two floors to spread out in. Awesome large kitchen with plenty of nice dishes, pots and pans, and seating. King bed in master bedroom not a queen as stated in website, and this was nice! Nice front loader washer and dryer. Please note the dock shown in the website picture is for the home next door.

Such a great place!!

Even more beautiful and spacious than the pictures. Equipped with everything we needed. Big and well maintained grounds. There were so many things to use for lake fun for ages toddlers to adults. There were so many welcoming spaces where you could be alone or with others. Kitchen is extremely well stocked with dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, appliances, etc. we saw many beautiful birds, ducks and even a doe with her 2 fawns in the back yard. We hope to come back another summer!

Err on the side of caution.

I pulled the sheets back to got to bed our first night there and I immediately noticed the sheets and mattress pad had blood stains!!! I stripped the bed. This is not BS ask the owner she came the next day and changed the bedclothes out. Otherwise the cleanliness of the household was great. The owner also demanded that they keep our security deposit for various things. We had four kids under 10 so yes there were some food related mishaps, go figure. We were also accused of other stains and such that were there when we arrived. My recommendation with this owner is to do a full and complete inspection of the property and amenities before you truly settle in. Report what you find immediately. Err on the side of caution. While the owner never said anything about the pontoon if you rent it ask for specific instructions as to how to clean it after use. I didn't expect to be "help", but apparently I was. This also goes for the kayaks/paddle boards/canoe. Even though I hosed each down, top and bottom, I was dinged for them being a mess. Last thing...super shallow water out to several hundred feet. If you have adults who want to fish this is not the lake for that.

We hope this review does not deter anyone from staying in our family’s home. We take pride in our home and your family’s stay in it; from the cleanliness, available amenities, and ensuring we are available via phone or in-person to assist you to create the best stay possible. Throughout the years of utilizing VRBO to share our home, we have had nothing but positive feedback and many recurring guests. Unfortunately, not every guest has the best intentions when utilizing VRBO. To address the statements in this review I would like to say: We personally clean the home between each stay (this includes everything from the bedding to the little details throughout the home/outdoors). I personally inspect, wash, dry, and remake each bed. So a fresh blood stain is not something I would allow when freshly making a bed. To be completely honest, we have never dealt with a mess quite like what we encountered after these guests. This is the first time we have ever kept a security deposit. From stains, to dirt, to ruined furniture, and complete disrespect to our home. To all guests looking to stay with us, we hope you find insight of our home in our photos, description, and the reviews from the families who have stayed with us multiple times over the years. -Eric and Arby Popp

Beautiful Cabin on North Long Lake

We had a fantastic time. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable at the same time. We had a wide range of ages staying at the cabin and the 4 bedrooms/ bunk rooms accommodated everyone. There are plenty of games and recreational items to satisfy all ages. The hosts were great. They were very flexible with their pontoon rental-which we used for several days. We highly recommend this cabin. It is one of those rare properties where you have plenty of space without other cabins right on top of you. We’ll definitely rent again the next time we are in northern Minnesota. Thanks for the use of such a great place!

We have started a summer Brainerd Vacation with our adult children, spouses and grandchildren 4 years ago. This is our first time here. The weather didn't cooperate as planned but we made the best of it. The house setup and outdoor area was outstanding. Everything was so clean, spacious and organized. We absolutely loved it & can't wait to return.

Wonderful getaway by the lake

We loved staying in this beautiful home. The owners thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable from a well stocked kitchen to the kayaks and paddle boards outside. Our family of 12 had ample space. We will return again!

Fun July Vacation on North Long Lake

This is our third stay at the Popp’s lovely lake house on North Long Lake. The house is beautiful, nearly new and very well maintained. It is equipped with everything necessary for a fun and comfortable stay on the lake. The house easily accommodated our family of 6 adults and 5 children. Communication was very good and the hosts are very accommodating. The house is in a beautiful setting right on the lake. The lake has a mix of shallow sandbars and deep areas, suitable for boating. All in all, a lovely vacation stay.

Great time at this wonderful cabin

This cabin had everything we could hope for and Morris had a great time with family and friends enjoying the lake all the extra amenities included with the cabin and even rented the pontoon which was wonderful. The hosts were great and we can’t say enough about what a great time we had.
