Charmante maison d'hĂŽtes dans une rue isolĂ©e. Terrasse privĂ©e donnant sur le ruisseau et la forĂȘt. Vaste terrain de plusieurs hectares. Pavillon avec barbecue dans une grande cour / prairie. Courte promenade sur une propriĂ©tĂ© privĂ©e jusqu'Ă  la riviĂšre Salmon. La propriĂ©tĂ© jouxte le Salmon Huckleberry Wilderness.

Dormez dans le lit queen-size avec des draps de luxe. Le canapĂ©-lit double dans le salon n'est pas aussi luxueux mais les enfants y sont assez confortables. Cuisinez vos propres repas dans la cuisine complĂšte ou allez sur l'autoroute 26 pour trouver de nombreux endroits oĂč manger.

Profitez de vous asseoir sur le pont en Ă©coutant des chants d'oiseaux et observez les cerfs et autres animaux sauvages occasionnels se promener. Parcourez les sentiers de gravier jusqu'Ă  la zone du parc. Descendez Ă  la riviĂšre. Montez la crĂȘte.

Évadez-vous de la tĂ©lĂ©vision en jouant Ă  des jeux ou Ă  des cartes. Excellente connexion Wi-Fi fournie. This place is awesome! You truly feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but you're just five minutes from a charming small town. There are hiking trails within minutes and some fun short ones on the property itself. I highly recommend taking lunch down by the river at the property and enjoying the tranquility. There is an entire outdoor area with games, heatlamps, couches, etc. that you get all to yourself. The main house is next to the cabin but we didn't see the owners at all. I will definitely be returning!

This is the most magical woodland property I have ever stayed at outside of dispersed camping in the national forest. Everything I love about the forest has been condensed into this one property!Giant towering old growth trees. Dappled woodland glades. Tiny bubbling springs. Creeks. Little magical fairy ponds. A swimmable/fishable river. Strange mushrooms. Large frogs. Wild berries. The list goes on and on, but you get the idea. The cottage is quaint and perfectly serviceable - bring your own oil and spices if you plan to do any real cooking. One of the owners was there in the main house for the duration of our stay, but it truly did feel like we had the whole place to ourselves.Highly recommend and will return as soon as I'm able to!

Magical

Sweet cottage on beatiful acreage, full of flowers, trails to explore, flora and fauna abound. It was a rejuvenating time for me and incredibly peaceful. I will definitely return!

Peaceful Cottage

Felt like a fairy tale. Lots of bridges, paths, and woods to explore. The tree canopy kept it cool. Cottage was clean and so quiet! My French Bulldog was in love with the place!

Comfortable, beautiful, relaxing, quiet

My husband and I had a lovely stay. This place it's very comfortable and beautiful grounds to walk on. I felt like we were in a secret hideaway retreat. The air conditioning was a nice bonus. We look forward to coming here again and enjoying this beautiful space. It was also close enough hiking and boating on the mountain which we enjoyed a lot. Thank you!

Peaceful oasis

We love this little cottage in the woods. It’s just enough for the two of us to relax, drink coffee, read books and hike along the property’s various trails. This was our 4th year here and we absolutely love it.

Quiet getaway

This property is a nature paradise with trails and native flora. The Salmon River adjoins the property and is just a short walk away. The property also adjoins a nature preserve and it is a great place to hike. The owners are very nice. It is very quiet and peaceful. It also has a full kitchen which is nice. We took our dog and he loved walking the property.

A bit of Heaven on Earth

Dancing Bear Cottage is quaint, charming, has everything one needs, and the setting is truly ‘out of this world’. The owners are delightful and add to the enchanted experience. The beautiful, quiet, nature-filled setting is a blessing for anyone wishing peace, healing and restoration of body, mind, and spirit: a welcome respite from stresses of city life! 3 day get away

I wanted a quiet little spot for myself and my dog, just to get away for a few days. Thought I might leave the property to check out the area, but once I got there I realized everything I wanted was right outside my back door. The place is magical, there are trails everywhere, little creeks, waterfalls, a river, lots of bridges, and moss covered trees everywhere. The hosts are fantastic, and the house is so quaint and comfortable
 what a beautiful place to wake up in the morning. I will definitely be coming back!

Perfect Secluded Getaway

This was our second visit and we just love it. The property is amazing
access to the Salmon river, several hiking paths, babbling streams, and you don’t have to leave the property. The cottage is just the right size for the two of us and our pup. Well appointed kitchen and very clean. And the hosts are extremely responsive to questions. It was a great base to come back to after exploring Hood River and traveling the Fruit Loop. I can’t say enough about how magical this cottage truly is. We’ll be back again and again!

This Magical Cottage Was The Perfect Romantic Getaway.

What a magical place! We wanted a place in the woods to totally disconnect and spend time together relaxing and exploring; this was place was perfect. A small, cozy cottage on a wonderful property. The short hike to the Salmon river, which was larger than expected, afforded us wonderful mornings of peaceful soundscapes and wildlife watching. We watched the salmon that had spawned returning back home after their arduous journey upstream. A picnic blanket draped over the large fallen tree at waters edge offered the perfect vantage point and romantic rendezvous. Walking the grounds is a must but taking the walk to the river should not be missed. There are so many things to do in the area. We hiked, we read, we napped. An early morning visit from six deer while gazing through the expansive diamond mullioned windows made us feel completely surrounded by nature. The cozy propane stove not only gave rustic ambiance but was a quite adept at heating the small space. WIFI was great, but we tried to only use it to settle arguments about who sang "that" song. The lack of a TV was perfect, and the proximity to the local Thriftway (grocery store) was very convenient. We will be back, as we can't wait to visit while it is blanketed in snow. If we could only pick a few words to describe our stay, they would be...Magical, Wild, Tranquil, and Romantic. If your desire is to hole up in nature and forget about everything going on in the world for a bit, this is the perfect place. Side Note: The bumpy part of the dirt road leading to the cottage that many reviews mention is pretty short and we traversed it fine driving slowly in our Kia Soul.
