We have stayed in many short term rentals and Brenda's house is by far the best we have ever stayed in. HIGHLY recommended! Thank you Brenda for a fabulous football weekend with my family.
First, Brenda is a great host. She left staple items for us like eggs and seltzers and coffee so we didn't have to run out after a long drive. Her communication was excellent! The house itself is very charming but the rooms and decor etc. are all upgraded. Our family members kept commenting on what a great house it was. We comfortably slept 9 and had room in the kitchen and dining area to relax. Lastly, it is a great location - easy walking distance to the stadium and to the downtown AA area - it would be great for a football weekend.
We found the house to be as advertised and per the pictures on VRBO. It was perfect for our group and the owner/host Brenda could not have been nicer! She was very accessible and went out of her way to help us. Definitely recommend!
This was our second stay at this property, and it was once again perfect! Excellent location near downtown A2 and the stadium. The house is extremely clean, comfortable and very well furnished. And can't say enough about the property owner who go above and beyond to ensure that stay is a 10 out of 10. All of her attention to detail is very much appreciated! Looking forward to our next trip back to Ann Arbor and will definitely stay here again.
Brendaâs lovely home was just as lovely as we hoped and the perfect place for our family stay in Ann Arbor. The home was so perfect and inviting we spent more time at the house enjoying the great kitchen, cozy living room, comfy bedrooms and luxurious bathrooms than we expected. It truly was the perfect place to stay for our perfect weekend. Brenda made staying there so easy with great instructions and was easily accessible. Thank you for everything Brenda!
We had a wonderful time staying here for our 25-year reunion. The property is located perfectly, walking distance to the stadium, downtown and campus area.
The house was clean, comfortable, well -appointed and the host went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. We stayed with 7 people and were perfectly comfortable
I love being a hostess and sharing my home. I allow guests to rent the house just a few times per year--UM graduation and a few of the football weekends. We moved here in 1992 and raised our children here. We doubled the size of the house in 2000, and I enjoy making continual improvements to it.
Our neighborhood is a designated Historic district called the Old West Side. Most of the houses here are more than one hundred years old, are close together, and have front porches. The trees are tall and mature, making for a beautiful, human-scaled sidewalk environment. There are several coffee shops, small restaurants, ice cream shops, and convenience stores within a ten-minute walk, as well as a beautiful steep moraine that rises from the ancient river corridor on the east up to the higher elevations on the west where the original Oak and Hickory forests still shade the 1930's bungalows up there. This hilly topography provides a wonderful walking experience..
The house is about 125 years old, with a classic front porch and "gingerbread" trim accentuating its traditional style. We doubled the size of the house in 2000. Unique features of the addition include a farmhouse-style large kitchen with a children's play nook adjacent, two laundry areas, two offices, an open stairwell room, and an oversized upstairs bathroom with an antique bathtub and a sliding wall to the adjacent bathroom. The floorplan allows for walking room to room in a full circle on both the main floor and the upstairs floor. Our house is on a slope, enabling the lower level to open directly to the patio, back yard, and driveway parking under a huge dripping American Elm. Our street has little traffic, large beautiful trees, and cheerful neighbors passing by on the sidewalk.
